Daylight And Darkness: Episode 172. Dates And High Hopes

   It's evening time,and at La Trattoria,Floyd sits at the bar as he looks over the menu and looks around and says to the bartender"I'm not used to this kind of place."The bartender tells Floyd"From the looks of things,I take it you're used to bars and honky tonks?"Floyd sees Ciarra and tells the bartender"I will remind myself not to tip you."Ciarra looks at Floyd and he compliments her,saying"You look stunning."Ciarra blushes and tells Floyd"Tennessee was the stunner.I was the ugly duckling."Floyd laughs,as he and Ciarra heads to their table"I'd say the two of you reversed roles."Ciarra laughs as the waiter arrives and Floyd tells him"Do you serve beer?"The waiter looks at Floyd with a puzzled look and Ciarra tells Floyd"In an Italian Restaurant,you order wine."Floyd is quiet and a few tables behind them,Xavier and Leigh are having dinner and they watch Floyd and Ciarra and Xavier calls the waiter over to the table and slips him some money and says"Buy a 6 pack."The waiter looks at Xavier and tells him"That old man doesn't quite fit in with our restaurant."Xavier grabs the waiter's arm and reminds him sternly"That man is my Uncle.And he is B.R. Jackson's twin brother.Show some respect!"The waiter is quiet and walks off as Leigh tells her husband"I take it love is in the air with them,though they don't seem to fit."Xavier tells Leigh"I will see to it they have a great first date and everything goes smoothly for them."Leigh tells Xavier"You're quite the romantic though you don't admit it."Xavier tells her"You told me to take things easy.Now I'm playing cupid."Leigh laughs and quips"We both are."Meanwhile,at Floyd and Ciarra's table,the waiter brings Floyd a 6 pack of beer,as Ciarra has a glass of wine and Floyd looks at him and says"I thought you didn't serve beer?"The waiter responds"Mr.Jackson bought this."Floyd stands up and sees Xavier and Leigh and tells Ciarra"We got some admirers."Ciarra ducks and tells Floyd"I hope it isn't Tennessee."Floyd assures her"It's Xavier and Leigh.They are watching us."Ciarra turns around and smiles as they watch on and Floyd tells Ciarra"I'm honored to be here with you tonight."Ciarra says softly"It's much better than staying at home."
   At Jazz,Beth sits at the bar and has a drink as she prepares to head back to Hell Hill after her confrontation with Frank,and sees Keith and Sayyid walk inside,along with Willie,Aretha,and Terrance and Beth asks"Is this supposed to be a private occasion?"Keith looks at Beth and tells her"If it wasn't for you,there would be no Jazz.Your tab is on the house."Terrance sits next to Beth,as Keith walks over to hug his Aunt,as Willie tells Keith"You look like your Father,but skinny."Keith laughs"I have a high metabolism."Aretha laughs"With your track record,I'm not surprised you've stayed so skinny."Willie tells her daughter"I have no interest in hearing about my nephew's groupies!"Sayyid agrees with Willie and Sassy arrives with Rashad and Latoya and Sassy tells everyone"Jermaine is on his way."Keith tells them with excitement"Perfect!I think his surprise party will be great!"Meanwhile back at the bar,Terrance asks Beth"I take it you had it out with Frank?"Beth rolls her eyes and tells Terrance"He is such a hypocrite.He wants to judge me and make me out to be the bad guy,when he's the one that's been keeping secrets for all these years."Terrance advises his boss"Don't let it get the best of you.I know that you don't go out without a fight."Beth tells Terrance"I blacked his eye and slapped him."Terrance quips"That's the Beth I know.He deserved it."Beth takes a drink and tells Terrance"Damn straight he deserved it!That bastard."Meanwhile the lights go out as Jermaine walks in and everyone yells"SURPRISE!" as Jermaine sees everyone inside and Beth asks Terrance"What's going on?"Terrance tells her"Keith is throwing Jermaine a survival party.I think we all can relate."Latoya walks over to Beth and tells her"Dr.Jackson,you saved my Dad,and you come over and sit with us."Beth is skeptical and tells Latoya"I don't think I should."Sassy tells Beth"Get over here.This is a celebration about survival and we all have survived many things,and came out strong."Beth shrugs and sighs"Oh what the hell."and joins everyone as Keith walks up on the stage and tells everyone"I felt bad almost killing my closest friend and I know he's not back to himself and while he's down,I'm going to sing his only hit."Jermaine yells"No the hell you won't!"Keith looks at Jermaine and tells him"You can walk.Get up here then."Jermaine tells Keith"Sing your own stuff!"Keith sighs and tells everyone"Ok since Jermaine won't come up here,I will sing a song from Smokey that's been playing in my head since coming to Adam's Landing.It's called Daylight And Darkness."The song starts and Willie,Sayyid,Beth,Aretha,Terrance,Sassy,and Jermaine sits back as Keith sings and Rashad and Latoya dances together as the lights are dimmed and Beth sits back and watches Keith and tells Sassy"Keith's still got it.He can still sing his way into my soul."Beth watches on,as Jermaine asks Sassy"May I have this dance?"Sassy reminds Jermaine"You're still weak.I think we'll just listen to Keith."Jermaine agrees and grabs Sassy's hand as everyone watches Keith croon on stage and Willie whispers to Sayyid"He looks too skinny."Sayyid looks at his sister and whispers"I think so too."
   Meanwhile at Hell Hill,Ruth arrives,with her suitcase and Maria walks down the stairs and Ruth yells"Maria?"Maria sees Ruth and they embrace in a hug as Ruth looks at Maria and quips"Last time I saw you,you were a little girl."Maria laughs"You haven't changed a bit.Pop has always spoke fondly of you."Ruth smiles and tells Maria"Your Pop is a great man.I have always thought the world of Floyd.He was my favorite of B.R.'s siblings."Maria notices Ruth's suitcase and asks her"Where are you going?"Ruth tells Maria"I am moving in.I can't stay with Frank anymore after today.He needs to learn some things and the only person that can help him is himself."Xavier and Leigh meanwhile return home and Ruth sees them and Ruth hugs Xavier and Leigh and asks them"May I stay here?"Xavier asks his Grandmother"Why aren't you back at The Farm?"Ruth tells them"Frank isn't taking the news well about Beth and your Father being married well and I'm not taking the news well that he knew all these years about Cale being his son."Xavier is stunned,as is Leigh and Ruth explains what she knows to them and Xavier tells her"It's on him.I gave up years ago worrying about him and Claudia the whore."Ruth quips"Claudia was a whore.I hated that bitch."Xavier sighs and hugs her and says"You're not the only one Grandma.You make yourself at home."Ruth tells Xavier,Leigh,and Maria"I'm going upstairs and catch up with my two great-grand babies."Ruth heads upstairs and Maria asks Xavier and Leigh"So how is Pop and Ms.Sullivan's date going so far?"Xavier smiles and says"She's teaching him table manners in an upscale restaurant at the moment.I bought him a 6 pack to make him comfortable."Maria laughs and tells them"He never has been one for fancy dining.When I was young,we would do fast food and diners.La Trattoria is new to him."Xavier tells his cousin"It's the place of romance."Xavier and Leigh heads upstairs,as Maria follows and walks into the nursery and sees Ruth holding Gracie and Xavier Jr and Maria smiles,as Ruth tells her"Now that I'm here,you need to get out more.I am going to devote myself to these two."Xavier and Leigh walk inside and they,along with Maria watch on with smiles,as Ruth holds Gracie and Xavier Jr,with a smile on her face as she says to them"You Granny's here.I'm about to spoil both of you to the point of no return."
   As for Jared and Sully,they return home from dinner at Chantel's and Sully smells a strange odor coming out of Ciarra and Tenny's penthouse and Jared tells his wife"Somebody's getting high."Sully looks at Jared and quips"Wow.You can tell huh?"Sully takes out a key and walks inside Ciarra and Tenny's penthouse and Tenny yells in a paranoid tone"Get out of here.I have an attack dog!"Sully looks on the kitchen table and notices Marijuana and looks at her Great-Grandmother in shock and asks her"When did you decide to become a stoner Gran?"Tenny looks at Sully and hugs her and says in a stoned tone"I feel so much better than I have for years.I like this."Sully quips"Apparently so.Does Grandma know about this?"Tenny grabs Sully's wrist and tells her in a paranoid state"Beth doesn't need to know I am high!If you tell her,I will..will.."Sully looks at her and says"Don't worry,I'll stay quiet.I have no problems with weed."Tenny looks at Sully and quips"Ciarra calls it reefer.You call it weed.Beth and Allan called it grass.I call it a miracle.I love everybody right now!"Sully picks up the phone and says with a mischievous look"I'm calling Frank and Grandma Ruth and invite them to your love fest."Tenny says with a sigh"Not everyone Sully.Just put down the phone and go across the hall and let me enjoy myself.Go make love to Jared and give me a great-great grandchild.If it's a girl,name her Tennessee."Sully rolls her eyes as she walks out and Tenny asks Sully"Order me a pizza sweetie."Sully nods and heads across the hall and Jared looks at Sully as she calls a pizza restaurant called Little Italy and looks at her husband and tells him"I've seen it all,Gran's smoking weed and she's got the munchies."Jared is shocked and asks"Your Great-Grandmother is high!I've heard it all now."Sully orders a pizza for Tenny and they listen as Tenny plays Allan's music on full blast and Jared looks at his wife and asks her"I think she's zoned out."Sully nods and takes Jared's hand and tells him"Let's lock the doors and go to bed.I got the earplugs ready."Jared and Sully head to the bedroom,as they call it a night.
   Meanwhile at Jazz,the party's going strong and Latoya sings to everyone as Beth notices a few missed calls from Tenny and tells everyone"I'm going home and call it a night."Beth tells Jermaine"Remember to take it easy.It will be just a short time before you will be back at 100%."Jermaine nods and Sassy tells Beth"I'll keep an eye on him."Meanwhile Sassy,Rashad,and Jermaine listens to Latoya,as well as Keith and Willie,Sayyid follow Beth to the door,as Aretha calls her brother to the VIP room and Aretha asks her brother,as Willie and Sayyid asks Beth"Do you notice anything different with Keith?"Beth tells Willie and Sayyid"He is skinny.I have followed his career and I can't notice anything really."In the VIP room,Terrance looks at his sister and tells her"I know that look.Something isn't right with Keith.I think his days of messing around may be catching up to him."Aretha tells him"I know he's never been heavy,but he is too skinny and he looks like.."Terrance asks"He has a STD?"Aretha nods and Terrance tells Aretha"Knowing our cousin,it could be a possibility.I will look into it tomorrow and talk to Beth about it.Let's enjoy the show."Aretha and Terrance walks out of the VIP room and Terrance sits down and listens to Latoya,and Aretha walks up to her Mother and Uncle and asks"What did Beth tell you?"Willie responds"She didn't notice anything off.But she did admit she has every album he's made."Sayyid tells them"Keith has done well though I don't like how he got to where he is,but I think things will change now that Xavier's helping him get his career back on track."Willie asks her daughter"What did Terrance tell you?"Aretha looks at them and says"Terrance is going to check his medical records tomorrow.He thinks he may have a STD."Willie and Sayyid are scared and Aretha tells them gently"Don't jump to conclusions until we know for sure."Sayyid looks at his son,as he watches Latoya sing and he tells Aretha and Willie"We've just started to reconnect.I pray to Allah he isn't sick."Willie hugs her brother and tells him"Let's just listen to Aretha Clem.It may be nothing."Sayyid tells them"I hope so.I really hope so."
   Meanwhile,at Hell Hill,Floyd and Ciarra sits on the lover's rock,as Floyd tells Ciarra"I don't do the fancy dining thing.I'd prefer this over being in some uppity high class restaurant any day."Ciarra tells Floyd"I've never been here before.It's quiet and peaceful though."Floyd holds on to Ciarra and tells her"Watching this creek and sitting here brings back so many memories for me.Brock and I grew up on this estate and underneath this rock was where we made our moonshine and ran it all across the state."Ciarra tells Floyd"I've heard that was how the Jackson family became prominent."Floyd tells her"My Daddy,Brock,and Joe kept Adam's Landing from going under and Brock and Joe stayed here in Adam's Landing while I went and traveled.I never was a suit and tie type."Ciarra listens on as Floyd tells her about his family's history and he tells Ciarra"I'm the last Jackson left.Joe died years ago and it's hard to believe Brock is gone,but I'm glad Xavier is here and he's done a great job keeping Brock's legacy intact."Ciarra tells him"Xavier is one of a kind.He ran Jim's after J.D. and Jacob retired and he's done so much.He owns malls and shopping centers and he's one of the most powerful men in the country."Floyd smiles as he tells Ciarra"He took after Brock and I think he's got a bit of all of us in him.You need to take some credit yourself since you ran Sullivan's and Emery's."Ciarra tells Floyd in a shy tone"It's impolite to brag Floyd."Floyd looks into Ciarra's eyes and tells her"You've earned it.At our age,we can brag and lie all we want.It's one of the advantages of growing older."Ciarra puts her head on Floyd's shoulder and holds his hand as they watch the creek flow,underneath the stars as they look at each other with stars in their eyes and they kiss,as they are falling for each other.

  At FJR,Cale looks at his Father,as Allison stands by Cale's side as he asks Frank in a shocked tone"You knew about me?"Frank looks at Cale and is silent with a look of defeat in his eyes as Cale tells him,with anger growing in his tone"You lied to me.You told me you didn't know about me."Frank looks at Cale and tells him"Cale,it was a difficult time and.."Cale yells"You had a son out there and you just forgot about him!"Frank tries to calm Cale down and tries to explain to him his reasons,telling his son"My Daddy and Beth's Mama knew Claudia was pregnant.I was blackmailed Cale."Allison is shocked and asks"I heard B.R. Jackson was all about family.As for my Grandma,that's another ballgame."Frank tells both of them"When it came to Beth,Daddy and Tenny Sullivan was both on the same side.Daddy threatened to destroy my career and Tenny was going to tell Beth and.."Cale yells"I went through HELL growing up!I was beaten,abused,by my Uncle and you knew about me."Frank looks at Cale and tells him"If I had of known what you had to endure,I'd done something about it.Believe me Cale,I would have."Cale gets furious and in a tone of anger and rage yells"All you cared about was your racing legacy and that woman that gave me to her sister!"Cale storms out of FJR,with Allison following him,as Frank punches the wall in anger and says to himself with anger in his voice"Damnit Beth!I may have lost my son because of you."
  At Hell Hill,Floyd and Ciarra looks at Tenny and Precious,as Tenny takes Precious off his leash and tells him"Bite the cowboy in the horny spot!"Ciarra sternly tells her sister"Tennessee,it was only a kiss."Tenny yells"A kiss Ciarra?You were about to go to bed with that old cowboy!"Meanwhile Precious sits in front of Floyd and shakes his hand as Floyd laughs"Some attack dog."Tenny yells at Precious and Ciarra tells her sister"You should be thankful Tennessee.The homes we shared with our husbands are being restored thanks to this man."Tenny looks at Floyd and quips"Thank you.Now back to the road to sex!"Ciarra looks at Tenny and yells at her sister"As I told you before Tennessee,we shared a kiss.Let your grudges go!"Tenny looks at Floyd with a look of disgust and tells her sister"If only Jacob was alive to see his wife turn into a tramp.."Ciarra slaps Tenny and Tenny takes a deep breath and sees Maria walking downstairs,and asks Maria"And who are you?Floyd's young floosie?"Maria smiles and says with disdain in her voice"I am his daughter."Tenny throws up her hands and yells"The Jackson men have conquered Beth,and now got their sights on my oldest sister."Tenny yells at Precious and tells her doberman"Let's go home and forget this nightmare,maybe I'm dreaming."Tenny storms out,and Maria tells Ciarra"Your sister isn't the friendliest person in the world.I'd call her a bitch."Ciarra tells Maria"Tennessee is the oldest sister of the Martins.I am the youngest.Tennessee has her moments."Floyd rolls his eyes and tells Ciarra"Brock told me she had resentment for the Jackson name.I see where Beth gets her fire from."Ciarra tells them"It's fortunate that Beth took after both her parents,as well as me."Floyd and Maria laughs as Ciarra tells them"I'm going to leave."Floyd grabs Ciarra's hand and asks her"Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?"Ciarra looks at Floyd and tells him"Please give me some time.I've already went too far."Ciarra rushes out and Maria tells her Father"I think she likes you."Floyd shakes his head and tells his daughter"She's a keeper."
   At City Hospital,Beth returns and slams the door as she walks into her office and yells"That damn bastard!And to think I almost remarried him!"Ruth walks inside as Beth's called her and Beth looks at Ruth and tells her"I take it you know about B.R. and I."Ruth nods and tells Beth"I don't have a problem with you and B.R. being married Beth.I'm glad he had you and Xavier in his corner."Beth looks at Ruth and tells her"Frank isn't taking it well and he tried to turn things around on me,but we both know the truth about everything."Ruth opens her arms and hugs Beth and assures her"You did nothing wrong Beth.I was no longer married to him and before the two of you married,he asked me if it'd be ok and I told him it would.He needed to be out of Adam's Landing and away from Frank.Jamie,Brock Jr,and all of this."Beth looks at Ruth,with tears in her eyes and asks Ruth"How can you be so accepting of me,knowing I had a child with the man you loved,and also his widow?"Ruth looks at Beth and smiles and says"I know the woman you are Beth.You are strong,fiery,and will do anything to protect her family.If something ever happened to me,I believe you could be the only one that could hold my family,or what's left of it together.Beth,you're like a daughter to me,and no matter what,you always will be."Beth and Ruth hugs and Cale walks inside Beth's office and asks her"Is it true about B.R. and Ms.Sullivan blackmailing Dad?"Beth and Ruth are both stunned and Beth and Ruth both look at each other,as they tell Cale"That's something we never knew of."Cale looks at them and tells them"All these years,I grew up in a hell hole and knew that Frank Jackson was my dad,and to know that he knew about me..it hurts."Cale starts to cry and Ruth hugs her Grandson and tells him"Cale,I can promise you that had I knew about you,I'd found you.I hated Claudia Stone immensely,but B.R. never said a word to me or Beth about it."Beth tells him"Mama never said anything to me if she and B.R. did anything to Claudia or Frank,but Mama never liked Frank and now I think I know why."Ruth tells Cale"Tenny Sullivan doesn't like very many people anyway,myself included."Cale looks at them and asks"What do I do now?I drive for him,and I just don't know if I can face him."Beth tells Cale"I can't tell you what to do Cale,but don't be too hard on Frank."Ruth agrees and tells him"B.R. would do anything to protect his family and those he loved.It doesn't surprise me that he would do such a thing,but nothing he did surprised me in the first place."Beth adds"My Mama hated Frank and this doesn't shock me none.She's never discussed it either."Cale looks at them and tells them somberly"I feel lost and I don't know what to do now."Ruth and Beth tells Cale"We're here for you."Beth tells Cale"I'm sorry you had to walk into Frank and I's argument."Cale tells Beth"I don't blame neither of you,but I got some serious thinking to do."Cale leaves and Ruth tells Beth"I'm about to visit my son.If you read the obituaries and see Frank's name in it,then you know how it went."Ruth leaves and Beth sits at her desk and shakes her head with disgust over everything that's happened.
   Meanwhile at Jackson Inc,Xavier and Leigh are in his office,as she sits on his lap after making love on the couch and they hold each other and Leigh tells her husband"I really wish you'd stay home and rest X."Xavier tells Leigh"I am comfortable here my love.I am very comfortable knowing everything is getting back to normal.I'm here,you're working with our Princess,and things seem to be going well."Leigh kisses her husband and tells him"I give up controlling you X,but promise me that you will take it easy?For me?"Xavier looks at his wife and holds her hand and tells her"I will Leigh.And I'll prove it now."Leigh asks"And how will you do that?"Xavier tells her"Let's go have a quiet dinner at La Trattoria and then we'll go home,and finish where we left off,we just got to part one of  that album."Leigh laughs and tells her husband"You're a freak."Xavier holds his wife and smiles and says gently"You bring out the best in me."Leigh and Xavier head out,as they find Burt and Bree have left and they head out for a quiet dinner.
  Ruth arrives at FJR,as she sees Rashad inside and asks him"Is my son in his office?"Rashad tells Ruth"He has left for the day.He didn't seem like himself."Ruth looks at Rashad and changes subjects and tells him"Congratulations on your engagement to Latoya Shane.And to think soon you'll have a little one running around,how the years fly by."Rashad tells her"I love her and we had wanted to keep it low key,but I guess Grandma called you?"Ruth laughs and tells him"Willie calls me at least twice a day.She keeps me informed and I'm going to make a quilt for that baby when it's born.I made one for you when you were born and sent it to Aretha."Rashad tells Ruth"Mama still has it."Ruth laughs and tells Rashad"You get out of here and be with Latoya and win the next race for me."Rashad laughs as he hugs Ruth and tells her"I will do that."Ruth gets her phone and calls her son,but gets no response.Rashad calls Latoya and heads up to meet with her.
  Meanwhile,Ciarra returns to The Penthouse and notices a guy in a hoodie walking down the hall,and she walks inside and smells a strange odor,as Tenny is sitting in the kitchen,smoking a joint.Ciarra looks at her sister with shock and yells"Tennessee!"Tenny looks at Ciarra and quips as she takes a toke"I need to find peace.I want to fly with the clouds."Ciarra looks at the bag of marijuana on the kitchen table and asks her sister"Since when did you start smoking reefer?"Tenny smiles and says in a stoned tone"Since I found out that my sister is being pursued by a cowboy,and his last name is Jackson.Look what you've caused me to do old woman."Ciarra warns Tenny"If you want to get high,then do it somewhere else.I don't want this place to smell like reefer!"Tenny walks slowly over to the stereo and turns on Allan's most popular album and turns it on blast and tells Ciarra"I heard Allan could take me into space."Ciarra looks at her sister and tells her"Oldest sister,you're already there!"Ciarra turns the stereo off and is quiet for a moment and heads into her bedroom as Tenny asks Ciarra"Make me some brownies.I hear they work great to really reach Venus."Ciarra ignores her sister as she walks into her bedroom,as Tenny sits in the kitchen and gets high and
Ciarra shuts the door and looks up as she sits at her mirror and asks"Should I feel this way?"Ciarra feels a touch on her shoulder and she turns around and she sees Jacob and Ciarra looks at her husband and asks him"Am I having a contact high?"Jacob looks at his wife and tells her"It's real Ciarra.And I take it Tenny isn't taking you and Floyd well from the looks of it."Ciarra rolls her eyes and says"I swear she's losing it.I don't know what to expect from her anymore."Jacob laughs"Tenny was always rebellious Ma."Ciarra rolls her eyes and responds"Yes she was."Ciarra looks at Jacob and asks him"Are you ok if I see somebody else?"Jacob looks at Ciarra and tells her"Ma,that's your decision.I am watching you and Floyd is a good man.Don't let Tenny stop you from what you want."Ciarra looks at Jacob and starts to cry and says to him"I miss you so much.I feel lost without you."Jacob wipes the tears from Ciarra's eyes and assures her"I want you to be happy Ma,and regardless what happens with Floyd,I'll always be with you."Jacob disappears and Ciarra opens her jewelry box and looks at a necklace that Jacob gave her many years ago and notices a kink in it and says"Jacob,if you want me to move on,show me a sign so I'll know."Ciarra looks at the necklace and notices the kink is gone and she looks up and smiles as she hears Tenny in the living room yelling"Is that you?I must be in my own world!"Ciarra holds the necklace and looks up and picks up her phone and calls Floyd and tells him"I will have dinner with you tonight."Floyd hangs up the phone and tells Maria"Pop's got a date."Ciarra changes clothes and gets dressed and prays"I just hope Tennessee doesn't start a habit of this."Meanwhile in the living room,Tenny sits on the couch and looks at Precious and tells him"I feel so free,relaxed.Love to the world."

   Meanwhile at Hell Hill,Ciarra looks at her watch and tells Floyd"I've got to get back home and go over some paperwork."Floyd asks Ciarra"Could I have the honor of taking you out to dinner?"Ciarra is silent and tells him"Floyd,I really don't think I'm ready."Floyd looks at Ciarra and reminds her"We just shared a kiss.You like me and I like you."Ciarra is quiet and starts to head to the door and Floyd looks at Ciarra and tells her"You one classy lady Ms.Sullivan."Ciarra turns around and looks at Floyd with stars in her eyes and tries her best to fight her feelings,but she walks slowly over to Floyd and they stare at each other intently,and Floyd and Ciarra wrap their arms around each other as they begin to kiss.Outside,Tenny arrives with Precious and she looks through the window and sees Ciarra and Floyd and shakes her head with disgust and tells Precious"First Beth,now Ciarra.What is it with the Jackson men when they see a Sullivan,they go in heat."Tenny opens the door and Ciarra and Floyd looks at Tenny as she yells at Floyd"Don't you dare try to seduce my sister you horny old cowboy!"At FJR,Frank sits in his office,fuming with anger as Beth walks in and Frank yells at Beth"Get the hell out of my office!I have nothing more to say to you!"Beth tells Frank"You just shut your ass up and listen to me!Your Father and I got married for one reason and that was because he was a lonely man who felt like nobody loved him.He knew I didn't want a thing of his.All he wanted was somebody to be there for him."Frank looks at Beth and tells her"My Mama,Ava,and Xavier may approve of this,but I don't."Beth tells Frank"You really have nothing to say and I sure the hell don't need your approval!After the way you treated me,and betrayed me,you're just lucky I even gave you another chance."Beth changes subjects and asks Frank"Now tell me Frank,did you know about Cale being your son all these years?Since you're playing the self righteous judge and all,tell me the truth!"Frank looks at Beth silently.Meanwhile Cale and Allison arrives as they hear Beth and Frank go at it in Frank's office and Cale and Allison walks in as Frank tells Beth angrily"Yes Beth!I knew all those years about Cale being my son!"Cale and Allison are both stunned by Frank's bombshell as Beth punches Frank in the face and yells"Don't you ever,EVER,criticize me again you hypocritical bastard!"Frank wipes the blood from his eye and sees Cale and Allison standing before him,as Beth storms out and there's silence in the room.

   It's the next morning in Adam's Landing,and at Hell Hill,Xavier wakes up and notices Leigh has left for Class and he walks into the nursery and sees Maria in there with Gracie and Xavier Jr.Xavier asks Maria"How are you enjoying Adam's Landing so far?"Maria tells her cousin"I see why Pop called this place Hell Hill.It was crazy last night."Xavier quips"I didn't hear anything except that Chant Hale was killed.I think I'm going to celebrate since my wife has went to work and my Mother isn't here."Xavier kisses his children and heads downstairs and Floyd is asleep on the couch and Xavier looks at him and asks"You have a room upstairs Uncle Floyd.Why are you on the couch?"Floyd looks at his nephew and tells him"I prefer couches than beds,unless I'm sharing it with someone."Xavier laughs"Well it sounds like you're still the same."Floyd asks his nephew"I need to ask you something Xavier.Do you think your Great Aunt will go out with me if I ask her?"Xavier looks at him and goes"Ciarra?"Floyd nods and fills him in on Jazz and Xavier looks at his Uncle and tells him"She's a tough sell."Floyd tells him"Beth said the same thing."Xavier tells his Uncle"If you do get lucky,just remember she doesn't play games.She very sophisticated."Floyd tells his nephew"That's what I like about her."Xavier also tells him"My Grandmother is the only one you should worry about.If you're not myself or Ava,then she will look down on you."Floyd quips"I've already met her.She knows who I am and she let herself known."Xavier tells him"She is fiery and very protective of Aunt Ciarra.You've got your work cut out for you."Floyd laughs,as he gets up"I guess I need to prepare myself for what's to come."Xavier laughs as he heads out.
   At City Hospital,Jermaine is in his room,as he wakes up to see Keith sitting by his side and Jermaine looks at Keith and tells him"You tried to kill me."Keith tells Jermaine"My aim was off,the son of a bitch kept moving and then you jumped up on the stage."Jermaine asks"I heard that Sayyid killed Chant."Keith tells his best friend"My Daddy broke his damn neck last night.I'm going to get my copyrights and masters back now that Chant's dead.If Allan can make a comeback,then I can too."Sassy walks into the room and tells Jermaine"Here's your release papers."Keith looks at Sassy and says to her in a flirting tone"You want to nurse me?"Sassy quips"Only if you get shot.Then I'll debate it."Sassy tells Jermaine"You've been cleared to go home and you need to rest for a few days.I've called Latoya and you'll see her later."Sassy walks out and Keith looks at Sassy and tells Jermaine"Damn that girl never ages.I want some of that."Jermaine tells Keith"Go get a wheelchair for me so I can go to my suite at The Sunset Club.And just so you know,I don't think you stand a chance with Sassy."Keith walks out as Jermaine prepares to head to his suite to rest.

   At The Evans Home,Willie,Sayyid,Aretha,Rashad and Latoya sits together in the kitchen as Willie's cooked breakfast and Willie asks her brother"Where's Keith?"Sayyid tells her"He went down to visit Jermaine this morning.I feel more content now than I have for years,knowing Chant is dead."Aretha tells her Uncle"He needs to get those copyrights back and the deed to Jazz.I think the latter won't be an issue."Sayyid asks his neice"What deed?"Aretha tells him"Xavier paid the loan Keith took out to pay Chant's bail.He owns Jazz.He works like that."Sayyid takes a deep breath and responds"I know that's how he works.I'll help him see the light.Now that Chant's dead,he will likely give it back to him."Willie tells them"Xavier's a fair man.He was just protecting his family."Meanwhile Aretha asks Latoya and Rashad"So what's the news you wanted to share this morning?"Latoya shows off her ring and tells everyone"We're getting married in a few weeks."Willie and Aretha congratulate them and Aretha gets misty eyed,telling Rashad"Wasn't long ago you were just a little boy and here you are,about to be a Father,and getting married,but you'll always be my baby boy Rashad Evans!"Rashad tells his Mother"Latoya and I are going house hunting soon and after last night I think we may need a mansion."Aretha looks at Latoya and tells her"That was one amazing performance you did.Just make sure you know your stuff if you want to pursue the music business."Sayyid adds"She's right.Don't get in the situation Keith did with Chant."Rashad assures them"Jermaine's going to help her and she's going to be performing at Jazz for awhile before she starts recording."Willie reminds Latoya"I don't know anything about the music business,but don't let it get to your head.Don't end up like so many others have."Latoya assures them"I've already studied how things work,and with Dad helping me,I think things will work out."Everyone's optimistic,as Sayyid tells everyone"I'm glad to see Jermaine Watts has finally owned up to his duty."

   Meanwhile at Chantel's,Olivia meets up with Tenny and Precious as Olivia asks her"I thought restaurants didn't allow dogs inside?"Tenny,who's wearing glasses and walking with a cane laughs"Money and playing a frail,blind,old woman can go a long way honey."Olivia laughs as she tells Tenny"Allan's off to Southpoint Beach to confront Rich."Tenny quips"Good for him."Olivia looks at Tenny and asks her"What's good about it Tenny?You know how he gets if he gets rejected.Remember what happened with Allison?"Tenny looks at Olivia and tells her"He's dealing with my Grandson Olivia.Rich Carroll doesn't want to mess with him,Xavier will destroy him and his career easily.That's the stop Allan made on the way to the airport."Olivia looks at Tenny and asks her"Xavier has been known to turn on his own family."Tenny grabs Olivia's hand and says gently"Allan's my son Olivia.He's a Sullivan.Xavier won't do any harm to Allan.And like I said,Rich Carroll is nothing.Look at the idiot's career,he screwed over Allan and he joined a commune,then he decided to become a singer of every genre and I can count on one hand how many hits he's had.That restaurant of his is all he has and Allan's copyrights.Read between the lines Olivia.I know how this all works."Olivia is quiet and mentions"I read in the paper that he changed the name of his chain to Rich Carroll's Seafood House."Tenny grins and says"And stockholders get pissed when someone starts changing things up."Olivia sits and puts the pieces together and says"I take it Xavier just bought out the company."Tenny smiles and says"Allan has what he needs to get what's his.Go to work and save lives and let Xavier deal with this.Allan will be fine."Olivia heads to City Hospital as Tenny gets up and tells Precious"Let's go visit Aunt Ciarra."
   Back at City Hospital,Beth arrives in her office as Terrance and Sassy walk inside and tell her"Jermaine has been released."Beth tells them"That's good.I think Keith needs to stick to singing."Terrance and Sassy laughs as Beth gets a phone call and Terrance and Sassy walks out into the hallway and Beth hangs up the phone and walks out into the hallway and tells Terrance and Sassy"I am expecting a visitor."At Jackson Inc,Burt and Bree sits in his office and Bree tells Burt"I don't know what went on in Xavier's office,but Allan left with a smile on his face."Burt tells her"I think Jackson Inc has acquired another business."In Xavier's office,Ciarra arrives and tells her Great-Nephew"Shouldn't you be resting?"Xavier assures her"Being here makes me feel so much better than staying at home.Chant is dead and for the moment all is well."Ciarra asks Xavier"Where's Ava?"Xavier looks at his Great-Aunt and tells her"She and Winston left town this morning.They have eloped."Ciarra smiles and tells him"That's good.She needed this."Xavier nods and asks her"Would you do me a favor?"Ciarra asks"What do you need?"Xavier tells her"Go over to Hell Hill and check on Gracie and Xavier Jr for me."Ciarra looks at Xavier and responds"I know you.Floyd's there and you want me to check on him."Xavier tells Ciarra"He is a good man.It's just him and Maria over there and give him a chance."Ciarra is quiet and tells Xavier"I'm going over there to check on Gracie and Xavier Jr.I have no interest though in having a relationship with Floyd!"Ciarra leaves and Xavier laughs"If that wasn't denial,then I don't know what is."Meanwhile at Hell Hill,Maria is upstairs in the nursery with Floyd when the phone rings and Maria answers and Xavier asks"Is Uncle Floyd there?"Maria responds"Yes."Xavier tells her"He's got a visitor on the way.Keep him there."Maria hangs up and Floyd asks his daughter"Who was that?"Maria tells her Father"I think Xavier's playing matchmaker."Floyd smiles.Back at City Hospital,Beth sits in her office and reads over some files and Frank walks into Beth's office and yells"Is there anything else you want to tell me Step-Mama?"Beth rolls her eyes as Frank stares at his Ex-Wife with anger in his eyes and tells her"You are so full of secrets."Meanwhile on a plane,Winston and Ava are sitting next to each other and Winston tells Ava"Do you like everything so far?"Ava gives Winston a kiss and tells him"I think this is going to be wonderful."The pilot tells them"We've arrived on your island Mr.Hale."Ava looks at Winston and they kiss and Winston tells Ava"We're about to be married again."Ava kisses Winston and tells him"I love you Winston."Winston holds Ava tightly and says to her,with a kiss"I love you too Ava."
  

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 168. Sacrifices

   At Jazz,Jermaine stands backstage,behind the curtain next to Sassy and Rashad and sees Chant,as he walks towards the stage.Sully,Jared,Bree,Country,and Keith have their guns aimed at Chant and Jermaine sees Keith pull the trigger and Jermaine rushes on the stage and gets hit,as Latoya runs backstage into Rashad's arms,as Chant falls to the floor after being shot in the chest being shot by Jared,Sully,Bree,and Country.Backstage,Beth,Allan,Olivia,Cale and Allison hears the gunshots and Beth rushes out of Allan's dressing room as she sees Jermaine laying on the stage after being shot in the side.Beth and Olivia tends to Jermaine while Sully,Jared,Bree,Burt,and Tenny walks towards Chant's body and they all for a moment breathe a sigh of relief,as Chant lays on the ground."Keith walks into his office as he puts his pistol down and tells himself in a frightened tone"I just shot my best friend."Latoya is scared as Rashad and Sassy comforts her and Latoya walks back out and asks Beth"How is he?"Beth tells Latoya,as Olivia calls the paramedics"He's conscious and breathing.He isn't going to die."Latoya bends down as Jermaine looks at his daughter and tells her"I did what any Father would do for his child."Meanwhile,Terrance and Aretha looks on and Terrance tells his sister"I'm headed to the hospital."Terrance leaves as Aretha heads to check on Keith.Jared kicks his Father's body and Chant's eyes open and he looks at Sully,Jared,Bree,Tenny,and Burt and laughs"Bulletproof vests are a necessity in this town."
  At Ava's Mansion,Winston and Ava lay in bed as Winston gets a phone call from Country and tells Winston"He's dead.He was shot too many times to survive that."Winston hangs up the phone and Ava asks him"So did you do what you were talking about earlier?"Winston looks at Ava and grabs her hand and tells her in a somber tone"It's sad to wish your child dead.But after all Chant's done,I did what I had to do."Ava asks Winston"Who did you hire to shoot him?"Winston responds"Country.He's been in hiding after his visit with Bree."Ava tells Winston"I just hope Country tries to man up and be there for Bree.He really hurt her.I still haven't forgiven him for neglecting his own daughter."Winston looks at Ava and tells her"Bree seems to be a very strong woman and at least she does have someone.I've noticed she and Burt's getting close."Ava tells Winston"It seems like love is in the air.You and I have a wedding to plan,your good son is getting close to my niece,and then there's Sully and Jared and Xavier and Leigh."Winston holds Ava and smiles as he tells her"I think things are starting to work out well.Now that Chant's gone,maybe some peace will come."Ava lays her head on Winston's shoulder as they turn out the lights"I hope so."
   At The Evans Home,Ruth arrives as she sees Willie and Sayyid playing blackjack and Willie asks Ruth"Have you turned into a night owl Ruth Jackson?"Ruth rolls her eyes and tells Willie"Frank is furious and I seen your lights were on so I stopped by."Willie tells Ruth to pull up a seat as Sayyid looks at his cards and tells his sister"I have a 17."Willie looks at her cards and looks at Sayyid quietly and says in a deiceving tone"Clem...baby brother,21!"Sayyid quips"You always were good at blackjack."Willie laughs"Yes I was.As I recall,I taught you how to play."Sayyid rolls his eyes and tells his sister"And you have never let me win yet."The phone rings and Willie answers it and she looks at Sayyid and she tells Aretha on the other line"He's here with me."Willie hangs up the phone and looks at her brother and tells him"Chant was shot.So was Jermaine Watts.He took a bullet for Latoya."Ruth rolls her eyes and asks Willie"Is Chant finally dead?"Sayyid asks the same thing and Willie tells both of them"Aretha didn't say.But she wants Clem to go to Jazz to talk to Keith."Sayyid tells them"After what that he did,I have no reason to go down there."Willie reminds her brother"Remember our conversation earlier Clem?"Sayyid looks at Willie and asks her"If I go,will you go with me?"Willie reminds Sayyid"I don't get out this late Clem.My eyesight isn't what it used to be."Ruth tells them"I'm headed back to The Farm to call it a night."Willie hugs Ruth and assures her"Frank is sensible.He will see the light."Ruth reminds Willie"Have you forgotten who his Father was?"Willie and Ruth share a laugh as Ruth leaves and Willie tells her brother"You go down to Jazz and talk to your son.Aretha's there and you have nothing to worry about."Sayyid hugs Willie and tells her"When I returned,I thought you would judge me because I was a muslim and because of my past,but you surprised me."Willie tells Sayyid"You're my baby brother Clem.I don't judge people for their actions,I see who they are."Sayyid heads out as Willie sits on the couch and says a prayer for Sayyid and Keith and says"Lord please help them grow close.They need each other."
   At Hell Hill,Floyd returns and finds Maria sitting on the couch as she asks him"How did your date go?"Floyd looks at his Daughter and sighs"She's going to be a tough one.She is quite independent and I think I am in love."Maria tells her Father,changing subjects"I realized why you always called this place Hell Hill tonight Pop.Frank knows about the marriage and he and Ava got into a huge argument about it and Ava told him the cold hard truth."Floyd asks Maria"How is Xavier?"Maria tells him"He and Leigh are asleep.I'm just sitting down here watching TV and glad you're home."Floyd gets up and heads to Xavier's study and tells Maria"I got something to show you."Maria follows her Father as they walk inside and  Floyd opens a drawer in Xavier's desk and Maria asks him"When did you become noisy?"Floyd pulls on a folder and the wall opens behind them and Maria and Floyd walks inside B.R.'s vault and Floyd tells his Daughter"This is the family vault.Only a few know about this."Maria notices the gold bars and moonshine and asks"Did Brock Jr know about this vault?"Floyd quips,as he pulls a jar of moonshine off of the shelf and pours a glass for himself and Maria"If he had of known about this,then the gold bars would be gone."Maria takes a drink and looks at her Father and goes"Damn that's some strong stuff."Floyd tells Maria"That moonshine saved Adam's Landing.Wasn't for my brother and our family,Adam's Landing would be a ghost town today."Maria takes a few drinks with her Father as Floyd tells her"I think the next time I see Frank,I'll need some of this."Maria quips,as she's buzzed"I think I'm getting the aspirin ready and go upstairs.Night Pop."Maria heads out,as Floyd sits back and takes some drinks and thinks of Ciarra,who's returned to her and Tenny's Penthouse and she sits in the living room,with Precious at her side,as she thinks about Floyd and tells Precious"I think I like him.But don't tell your Mama."
   Back at Jazz,Chant stares at Sully,Jared,Bree,Burt,and Tenny as Chant snarks"I won't ever go anywhere.I want what belongs to me.I want Foodstar,Class...but I think I'll change the name."Sully gets angry and Jared looks at his Father and warns him"I hate you will all I have in me and I want you dead Chant!"Tenny looks at Sully and Jared tells her"Take my wife home.She doesn't need this."Sully tells Jared"I can handle him Jared!He doesn't scare me."Tenny tells her Great-Granddaughter"You are recovering from a heart transplant.Don't worry about Chant.His days are numbered."Tenny and Sully leaves and Bree slaps Chant and yells"You are pure evil.Tonight was great until you showed your face.My sister is losing it after what you did to her and you sit here like you're a saint."Chant taunts Bree"You heard your sister,she wanted it.She takes after your Mama.And she was a freak,though Summer isn't close."Bree punches Chant in the mouth and Chant warns Bree"You need to be careful with my new brother,I hear he loves sex.He's got some skeletons in the closet."Burt tells his brother"Not near as many as you do,and if you ever come around Bree or my Father again,I'll kill you!"Chant asks"Like you did Lily?"Burt warns him"Don't tempt me."Burt and Bree walks out and Jared tells his Father"I hope somebody kills you soon.You deserve to die Chant!"Chant yells at his son"It's FATHER you worthless traitor!"Jared turns his back and heads home and Chant stands in the middle of the bar and begins to leave as Sayyid stops him and asks him"Are you going somewhere?"
   Jermaine has been taken to City Hospital,as Latoya,Sassy,and Rashad are at his side as Beth,Olivia,and Terrance removes the bullet in Jermaine's side and Beth tells Latoya,Sassy,and Rashad"He will live and luckily this wasn't as bad as it could have been."Rashad tells Latoya"Let's go home Latoya.You need to rest."Sassy agrees with Rashad and Latoya looks at her Father and with tears in her eyes,tells him"Thank you Dad."Jermaine tells Latoya"I'm not going to let you go.We have a lot to catch up on."Latoya smiles and says"Yes we do."Latoya and Rashad heads to Sassy's house as Beth tells Olivia"He'll be fine and you go celebrate Allan's comeback."Olivia leaves and Terrance follows as Beth tells Jermaine"You'll be released in the morning and you'll need to take it easy for a few days."Beth heads out and Sassy's alone with Jermaine in his room and she starts to cry and Jermaine asks her"Why are you crying Sassy?You've never been one to cry."Sassy looks at Jermaine and tells him"You saved our daughter and I am speechless.Literally speechless."Jermaine looks at Sassy and quips"I think I should call a nurse to film this.Sassy Shane is speechless."Sassy looks at Jermaine and tells him"You have proved me wrong tonight and I always knew you were a good man.Keith Ross is just corrupt."Jermaine tells Sassy"We made a mistake years ago and Keith has his problems,but let's leave it in the past now."Sassy looks at Jermaine and tells him"I already have.I owe you Jermaine."Jermaine tells Sassy"It's the other way around.I owe you,Latoya,and that child she's carrying."Sassy is taken away by Jermaine's personality change and she tells him,as she heads out"You take it easy tonight and I'll be here in the morning."Sassy leaves and Jermaine looks at the door and is silent and looks up and says"I am a lucky man.Thank you God."
   At Jazz,Keith has opened up to Aretha and she looks at her cousin and tells him"Mama always told me you never played a part in what happened to your family's murders."Keith starts to cry and tells Aretha"Chant hired someone to kill them after Laila rejected him and he raped her.Laila was going to press charges and she told all of us about what happened and I had a friend back in the day named Tyrone Gray,who was there and he was very shady."Aretha responds"Do you think he was Chant's ear?"Keith tells Aretha"Oh yes.If you showed Tyrone money,then he'd do anything.I was that way myself,and I have really screwed up."Aretha hugs Keith and tells him"You always wanted to sing and that's what you did Keith.From what you've told me,Chant owned you."Keith tells his cousin"He did Aretha.He owns my copyrights,masters,even my name."Meanwhile Sayyid stands outside as he has Chant in a headlock and tells him"Bulletproof vests doesn't protect white bastards like you from this."Sayyid walks inside and Aretha looks at Keith as he sees his Father in front of him and Aretha plays a tape for Sayyid of her and Keith's conversation and Sayyid listens,while holding Chant's head tightly as he listens on and Keith looks at his Father with tears in his eyes and Sayyid looks at Keith and says somberly"Son,I'm here now,and your problems are solved."Sayyid breaks Chant's neck and kills him instantly and hugs his son as they embrace and Sayyid tells Keith"Nobody owns you now my son,you go take care of business.Get what's yours."Aretha looks on with a tear in her eye,as Sayyid and Keith make up and makes a phone call to Country and tells him"Time to pick up Chant's body."

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 167. All That Jazz

   At Jazz,Bree arrives and meets up with Burt and Bree apologizes for being late,telling Burt"I committed Summer to the psychiatric wing of City Hospital."Burt tells Bree"After her meltdown in the Courtroom,she needs help."Bree and Burt sits down.Meanwhile Beth and Floyd arrives and Beth sees Tenny sitting with Olivia,Cale,and Allison and Beth walks over with Floyd and Tenny looks at Floyd and asks Beth"Who is the cowboy?Did B.R. decide to become lone ranger?"Floyd looks at Beth's Mother and smiles,tipping his hat to her as Tenny quietly warns her daughter"I am still pissed about your wedding certificate being taken from me."Floyd looks around and doesn't see Ciarra and asks Beth"Where's your Aunt?"Tenny tells Floyd in a sarcastic tone"She's at home.She isn't looking for anyone cowboy!"Beth makes a phone call to Ciarra and gets no answer,as Ciarra does show up a few minutes later and Beth asks her Aunt"Where have you been?"Ciarra tells her niece"I had to do a few things Beth."Tenny walks up and walks her sister to her table,telling her"That old cowboy got the hots for you and I don't want no Jackson trying to sleep with my Oldest Sister."Ciarra reminds Tenny"I think you need to check your birth certificate again."Tenny tells her sister with a grin"Shut up Ciarra!"Meanwhile Marco also arrives and he sees Terrance at the bar and Marco sits next to him,as the bartender arrives and Marco tells him"I want a crown and get the man next to me something and put it on my tab."Terrance looks at Marco and comments"You're the one Leigh told me about."Marco looks at Terrance and tells him"She has a winning record in matchmaking.She's the only woman I'd let send me on a blind date."Terrance laughs as he and Marco begin to talk as Jermaine walks on stage and tells everyone"Welcome to the grand opening of the hottest new club in Adam's Landing,Jazz!"Jermaine introduces Allan and his band and tells everyone there"Our first band hasn't been on a stage for over 30 years and we make history tonight as The Allan James Band makes their first live appearance right here!"Allan looks at his band and they hit the stage as they begin to perform.
   Inside Keith's office,Sayyid has Chant on the ground,with his arm wrapped around his neck and a pistol in his mouth as Aretha stands in there with shock as Chant looks at Sayyid and asks him"What did I ever do to you besides keep your son from following your fine example?"Sayyid angrily snarls"Remember my daughter Chant?Laila?My son Pentz?My wife?"DO YOU!"Keith walks inside and notices his Father and yells"What in the hell are you doing?"Sayyid looks at Keith and tells his son angrily"You shut the hell up and sit back as I put this bastard out of his misery!"Aretha looks at Keith and at Sayyid and asks Keith"So you bailed Chant out of jail?"Keith looks at his cousin and gives her a paranoid look as Sayyid gets up and keeps his foot on top of Chant,as he stays on the ground and Sayyid asks his son"You bailed this white bastard out of Jail?"Chant yells"If Keith wants to keep his secrets hidden,he knew what he had to do."Sayyid looks at Keith and asks him in a calm,angry tone"Don't tell me you did what I think you did in order to get a recording contract?"Keith tells Sayyid and Aretha"I owe nobody any answers.Now get the hell out of here.Both of you."Aretha warns Keith"Your secret is out now Keith.I know."Keith has a look of dread as Sayyid asks his niece"What is Keith keeping private?"Aretha tells Keith"You know what it is Keith.Shouldn't you tell your Daddy yourself?"Chant tries to get up,and Sayyid keeps him pinned to the ground,as Sayyid keeps his pistol aimed at Chant and warns him"Try to get up again and I'll break your back!"Keith looks at everyone and tells them"I have nothing to say,now leave me the hell alone!"Keith attempts to walk out of his office when Aretha blocks his exit and tells her cousin"You have something to tell Uncle Clem cuz!Speak up or I will!"Sayyid looks at Keith and looks at Chant and is quiet for a few moments and asks his son"It was true after all.Oh my god Keith.You were behind it."Sayyid looks at Chant and tells him"You helped Keith get into the music business and I know how it all works."Sayyid walks out of Keith's office without saying a word and leaves Jazz silently,as he goes to see Willie.
   At Hell Hill,Leigh has finally talked Xavier out of going to Jazz and as they lay in bed together,Leigh asks her husband"Was that enough to keep your mind off of Chant?"Xavier looks at Leigh and tells his wife"You don't play fair."Leigh tells Xavier"You don't need to worry about Chant Hale.His day is coming.All you worry about is me."Xavier looks at his wife as she gets on top of him and she tells him seductively"All I've wanted is this.You and me right here."Leigh kisses Xavier's body and they begin to make passionate love.Meanwhile downstairs,Frank arrives and he sees Ava downstairs and he asks his sister"I thought you and Winston were going to Jazz tonight?"Ava tells Frank"Winston had something to take care of.I came over to check on Xavier.Why are you here?"Frank looks at Ava and tells his sister"Beth and I need to talk about her secrets!"Ava tells Frank"I'm not worried about what happened between Beth and Daddy.I'm glad they were together.Him leaving Adam's Landing would have been the wisest thing he could have done.He had nobody here."Frank reminds Ava"I was here!"Ava looks at Frank and tells him"And where were you Frank?Where?You were too busy protecting Jamie and every damn time something happened between Daddy and Jamie,you would always defend her!Jamie destroyed this family!"Frank reminds Ava,as they start to argue"And where were you Ava?You were in Valley Ridge and you never came home."Ava gives Frank a dismissive look and sternly reminds her oldest brother"You know damn well why I never came home and Daddy did also."Frank tells Ava"Don't even start to criticize me Ava.You killed our sister and you have never shed one tear over it!"Ava yells at Frank"You need to go back home!Xavier is recovering and Beth isn't here,and I will not discuss Jamie with you!"Frank tells Ava"Beth and I were married.Daddy broke that up when he slept with her!And to find out they were together again,that bitch never even told me or Mama."Ava tells Frank"You need to calm down.Beth divorced you and Daddy always adored her,and so does Mama."Frank shakes his head and yells"I guess I'm the only one that's upset about this.Out of all people I'd think you'd be angry also Ava."Ava quips"If you want to throw a pity party,go down to the jail and visit Junior."Maria meanwhile hears Ava and Frank arguing and walks downstairs and tells them,as she hears the argument"I personally think you need to chill out Frank."Frank looks at Maria and asks her"What are you doing in town?"Maria tells him"Where my pop is,I am with him.If you want to know about Uncle Brock's wedding,ask my pop about it.He was there."Frank storms out and Ava asks Maria"Is Xavier here?"Maria tells her cousin"He and Leigh are upstairs.She got him to back out of going to Jazz."Ava breathes a sigh of relief and tells Maria"Good.I was worried about that.I'm glad you're here.Uncle Floyd is lucky to have a daughter like you."Maria thanks Ava and tells her"He is hard to keep up with."Ava laughs and tells Maria"I'm going home.I think Frank's jealous over Beth."Maria responds"That's my observation."Ava and Maria hugs as Ava leaves and Ava tells her cousin"Let's do lunch tomorrow."Maria quips"As long as you're buying."Ava nods as she leaves and Maria says to herself as she heads back to the nursery"No wonder they call this place Hell Hill."
   Back at Jazz,Allan finishes up his set and the place is packed,as Allan gets a huge applause from everyone and Tenny,Olivia,and Beth heads backstage as he heads to his dressing room."Ciarra stays at her table and orders a drink and offers to pay and the waitress tells her"Your tab is covered."Ciarra asks the waitress"Who paid for my drinks?"The waitress points to the bar,where Floyd sits,as he tips his hat at Ciarra and she gets up and walks over and tells Floyd"What is it with you?I told you I weren't looking for anybody."Floyd quips"Southern hospitality darlin."Ciarra tells Floyd"Don't call me that.I am far from a country bumpkin."Floyd smiles as Ciarra continues"I run a department store called Emery's and I have no time for relationships and like I told you,Jacob was the only man for me."Ciarra pulls out her checkbook and tells Floyd"Here's the money you spent on me."Ciarra writes a check and Floyd takes the check and rips it up and touches Ciarra's hand and tells her"I don't want your money Ciarra.I just want to know you."Ciarra sits next to Floyd and tries to explain to him"I am really not interested Floyd.I only loved one man and that was my husband."Floyd tells Ciarra gently"I understand.I lost my wife years ago and then found someone else and she died while giving birth.And I'll admit I'm not perfect,but I could have let the loss of my wife and Maria stop me from trying to find love,but I didn't.And neither should you."Ciarra starts to cry as she looks at Floyd and Floyd takes his handkerchief and wipes the tears from Ciarra's eyes as she looks at Floyd and tells him"I got to go."Ciarra rushes out and Floyd is quiet as he hurts for Ciarra.Meanwhile Sully and Jared are at their table and Jared tells his wife"Are you enjoying yourself?"Sully tells Jared"Uncle Allan did a great job earlier.He's still got it."Jared laughs"He's still a legend."At the other end of the bar,Terrance and Marco talk and tell each other about themselves and Terrance asks Marco,regarding Dante"Did you contract HIV from Dante?"Marco responds"I got tested a few times and still get tested,but I am negative."Terrance tells Marco"I have always been single.I took me awhile before I realized I was gay.I tried to date women and even had a brief relationship with someone,but she left me after I told her I was bisexual."Marco asks"So when you see a woman,does it turn you on?"Terrance tells Marco"Sometimes."Marco tells Terrance"Then you're bisexual,you're not gay."Terrance looks at Marco and tells him"Would you like to go out to dinner tomorrow night?"Marco looks at Terrance and tells him"I'd like that."Terrance and Marco hug and Terrance sees his sister and tells Marco"Tomorrow."Marco smiles as Aretha walks over to Terrance and tells him"Keith is a bastard.A real bastard."
   Sayyid meanwhile arrives at The Evans House,and Willie is playing solitare and Willie hears a knock and yells"Come in!"Sayyid walks inside and Willie asks"Clem,what's wrong?"Sayyid looks at his sister with his voice trembling and tears flowing down his face and Willie tells her brother to sit down next to her as he does and he looks at Willie and is silent and Willie tells Sayyid"What happened?What got you upset like this?"Sayyid looks at Willie and says to his sister,as he struggles with his words"My son had his family killed for fame and fortune.I know how it works."Willie looks at Sayyid and assures him"I don't believe that Keith would have his Mother,Sister,and Brother killed to get ahead."Sayyid tells Willie"Chant Hale was his backer.That bastard raped my Laila and I vowed to kill that bastard."Willie is quiet and tells Sayyid"Chant was the one that had your family killed Clem."Sayyid looks down and shakes his head and says to Willie"You're likely right like always."In Keith's office at Jazz,Chant tells Keith"You're lucky the King Of The Streets left.He's a damn coward."Keith angrily tells Chant"He should have killed you.There's something you don't know Chant."Chant looks at Keith and asks"What would that be?"Keith tells him"I know about what you did to my sister.And so did Mama and Pentz."Chant tells Keith"I didn't have your family killed Keith."Keith looks at Chant and angrily tells him"I know you did.You had it covered up and made it look like I sacrificed my family to be successful and my Father never recovered and he has hated me ever since."Chant grabs Keith and coldly reminds him"I made you and I can destroy you."Keith looks at Chant and says to him"You have already destroyed me.If Jazz fails or my comeback,you'll be dead."Chant walks out of Keith's office and reminds him"I own you Keith Ross.I own all of you.Think about that when you hit that stage tonight."Chant walks out and Keith sits in his office,as he makes a phone call and finds out that Chant owns the copyrights to Keith's music and his masters and Keith looks into his desk and pulls something out.
    Meanwhile backstage at Jazz,Latoya prepares to perform in front of an audience for the first time in her life and Sassy,Jermaine,and Rashad are there as she's nervous and Jermaine tells his daughter"If it helps,close your eyes.I used to do that sometimes when I was a singer."Rashad looks at Latoya and tells her,as he gets on bended knee"Latoya,I love you with all I have in me and we will always share a bond with this child inside you we created."Latoya starts to cry as Rashad asks"Latoya Shane,will you marry me?"Latoya hugs Rashad and tells him with tears in her eyes"Yes Rashad!"Sassy is touched and Jermaine looks at them and tells Latoya"Let's go to the stage.It's time for you to show the world your gift."Latoya heads to the stage as Sassy looks at Latoya and then grabs Rashad's hand and tells him"I am so proud.The two of you will be a beautiful couple."Rashad looks on as Jermaine introduces Latoya to the crowd and walks backstage as Latoya begins to sing and Jermaine,Sassy,and Rashad watches on from backstage.In Allan's dressing room,he tells his band"I'm leaving in the morning to visit Rich and we're about to make the greatest comeback in Rock History."Olivia,Beth,Cale,and Allison comes into the room and they all hug Allan and Beth tells her brother"You kicked ass."Allan tells Beth with a smile"Thanks Big Sis.Where's Mama?"Beth is quiet,as is Olivia,Cale,and Allison and Beth tells him"I think she and Ciarra may have went home."Meanwhile Tenny is heading out and sees Sully and Jared and stops by and watches Latoya and tells them"That girl's got a golden voice."Sully and Jared both agree.Burt and Bree dances together as Latoya sings and Chant walks out and Tenny,Sully,Jared sees him.Burt and Bree pauses as Bree fumes with anger and pulls out her pistol,as does Sully and Jared.On the balcony,Country sits quietly after being called by Winston and he waits for a clear shot to shoot Chant and Country sees his daughter and he gets nervous.Keith stands outside his office as he sees Chant and he pulls out his pistol and aims at Chant and Chant moves close to the stage and there's silence in the room,as Aretha and Terrance looks around and Aretha and Terrance begins to leave.Multiple shots are fired,and two people are shot.

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 166. Grand Openings

   At Hell Hill,Xavier is shocked and stunned at what he heard while watching Brock Jr,Tommy,and Chant's Arraignment at the Adam's Landing Courthouse and Sayyid walks out of Xavier's study with the pistol Xavier's given him as Xavier points to the seat and tells his Mother"Now I know why my Father was looking at homes in Blue Ridge."Beth looks at her Son and asks him"How did you know about that Xavier?"Xavier looks at his Mother with a puzzled look and reminds her"I keep up with everything that goes on.I knew there was something going on between the two of you and to be honest with you,I'm not upset about it,but that's not saying Grandma Ruth or my other Grandma will be upset when they find out."Beth rolls her eyes and tells her son"Mama already knows.Junior told her.I think I'll get out of here early and head to Jazz early before talking to Ruth and Frank about B.R. and I's marriage.Floyd was the only other one that knew and there's one other person that I am worried about."Xavier asks"Ava?"Beth nods and Xavier assures her"Ava and I are more concerned with the same thing right now Mother.Your marriage to my Father is nothing to lose sleep about.Ava likely feels the same way."Beth tells Xavier,changing subjects"I'm going to get ready to go watch Allan's show."Xavier hugs his Mother and tells her"I'm glad to know he had you.It's just sad he never got a chance to be happy."Beth is quiet as she heads upstairs."Xavier makes a phone call and asks"Who paid for Chant's bail?"Xavier gets an answer and he sits at his desk and says to himself"It's not looking too good for some people in this town."as he gets his Colt 45.
  At Class,Leigh,Sully,and Marco have also heard the verdict and what happened and Leigh looks at Sully and Marco and tells them"X is likely plotting a murder as we speak."Sully tells her Mother"He isn't the only one."Leigh has a look of worry and concern and tells her Daughter"He's just been released from City Hospital,and with this all happening,he does not need to be planning revenge."Leigh hugs Sully and Marco and tells Marco"Have a good time tonight and let me know how your date goes with Terrance."Marco assures Leigh"I will."Leigh heads back to Hell Hill.Sully calls her husband and doesn't get an answer and Sully tells Marco"You can go get ready for tonight.I need to look at a few things before I head to the Penthouse."Marco hugs Sully and tells her"You have a gold mine down here with Class.From what I've seen,this place is going to be a rousing success."Sully quips"It already is.It's very successful and it's only growing stronger."Marco smiles and tells Sully"You've done a great job.I'm honored to be working with you."Marco leaves and Sully sits in her office and has a flashback to what happened in her office,which resulted in her cousin's death,and almost dying after being shot by Angelica Hale and she looks into her desk and says coldly"Payback is a bitch!"
   At the ALPD,Bobby's returned to his office,as Ava,Winston,and Jared walks inside and asks Bobby"How in the hell did Chant get off?"Bobby tells them"With Summer's outburst in the Courtroom,that was the icing on Chant's temporary freedom cake."Jared is angry and yells"I read up on rape and the effects it has on some and I have to cut Summer some slack and I hope she gets help."Ava tells Jared"When I was raped,it changed me and Sully and I both had similar reactions,except I wanted to kill Jamie and Junior.I was angry and Mama and I went to Southpoint Beach shortly afterwards and when Daddy had to do damage control,they divorced."Bobby tells them"B.R. was in a tight spot when that happened.I just wonder if it was true that he was married to Beth?"Ava tells them"If they were,then that's fine with me.Everyone has to move on and if that was Daddy's choice,then it was his choice."Winston meanwhile asks Bobby"Who paid for Chant's bail?"Bobby checks the computer and is stunned,as he asks Winston"What is the connection between Keith Ross and your son?"Winston,Jared,and Ava looks at Bobby,as Winston has a flashback to his meeting with Sayyid Ross a few weeks back and tells everyone"Sayyid asked me about him and I told him he was dead and Sayyid was glad to know about it.He said to me that he'd kill him himself if he was breathing."Bobby tells them"Keith took out a huge sum to get Chant released and the question is why would Keith Ross bail Chant Hale out of jail and risk his nightclub?"Ava,Jared,and Winston are all silent,as Bobby calls Xavier and tells him and hangs up and tells Ava"Chant will be lucky if he makes it through the night."Jared tells them"After what that bastard's put my family through,I hope someone finally puts a bullet in him."Jared storms out as he sees a missed call from Sully and Ava and Winston tells Bobby"I have a feeling some sparks will fly tonight at Jazz."Ava and Winston leaves as Bobby sits in his office and pulls out a bottle of liquor and takes a drink and says to himself"Time to clean up."
   Meanwhile back at Hell Hill,Maria and Floyd catch up as Floyd tells his daughter"I needed to see if my gut was right."Maria asks her Father"That Uncle Brock was dead?I told you he was murdered."Floyd takes a deep breath and reminds Maria"Can't always believe what you hear on the news or the Internet Maria.You know how I am about those kind of things."Maria tells her Father"Pop you need to keep up with modern times and let me know when you decide to leave home.At your age.."Floyd stops Maria and sternly tells her"I may be an old man Maria,but I won't be treated like one.My eyesight is good,I'm in good health,I don't need to ask nobody permission to do anything.You worry too much."Maria looks at him and tells him gently"It's only because I love you Pop.You're all I have and I am scared to lose you."Floyd assures Maria"Darlin,your pop isn't going anywhere.And if you're going to keep an eye on me,call the farm-hands at the ranch and tell them that we're going to be here for awhile."Maria asks her Father"You're staying in Adam's Landing?"Floyd nods and tells her"With all that's happened today,I need to be there for my brother's family,and I want you to know your cousins and aunts."Xavier walks downstairs,as he's gotten dressed and looks at Maria and asks her"Who the hell are you?"Floyd asks Xavier"Where are you going?"Xavier tells his Uncle"I've got to take care of some things."Floyd tells his daughter"This is Brock's youngest son and the one in charge.."Maria quips"Xavier Jackson?"Floyd introduces Xavier and Maria and Xavier tells them in a hurry"I'd love to sit and chat,but I've got some things to do."Xavier storms out and Maria tells her Father"He reminds me of Uncle Brock."Floyd quips"And he's got his temper."Maria rolls her eyes as Floyd tells Maria"Welcome to Hell Hill darlin."
   At Jazz,Tenny and Ciarra has arrived in Allan's dressing room,as Olivia,Allison,and Chant are there as well as Allan's former band mates except for Rich,as they prepare for their show.Allan asks his Mother"I heard Chant got off."Ciarra is quiet as Tenny tells them"If you need a falsetto,Chant may be your man after the kick I gave him today."Allan rolls his eyes and tells his Mother"He's not going anywhere Mama.From what I understand,he can't leave town and if he tries,he'll be back in jail."Cale assures Tenny"If it makes you feel any better Tenny,I'll beat his ass if I see him."Tenny looks at Cale and tells him"If you do that,make sure it's with a baseball bat or a torque wrench."Ciarra looks at Allan and tells him"It's unfortunate about how everything happened,but I am going back home and break a leg tonight."Allan asks his Aunt"You're not staying?"Ciarra tells Allan with a laugh"I'm into classical music,not hard rock."Ciarra hugs Allan,Olivia,Allison,and Cale and heads out and Tenny follows her and Tenny asks her sister"You're not acting like yourself Baby Sister.What's wrong?"Ciarra responds"Nothing's wrong Tennessee.I just want to be alone."Ciarra leaves and Tenny debates going back to the Penthouse with Ciarra,but she heads back to Allan's dressing room and tells them"I think it's going to be a successful night for everyone."
   Meanwhile,Ruth and Frank returns to The Farm,as they find Willie outside and Frank walks inside without saying anything,as Willie asks her best friend"Are you ok?"Ruth looks at Willie and says in a stunned tone"I don't know what to think Willie.B.R. never told me that he remarried,and to Beth."Willie looks at Ruth as they sit outside and Willie tells Ruth"I used to keep an eye on B.R. after the two of you divorced years ago and he always loved you.He was a very lonely man and the way Junior and Jamie treated him and his Grandchildren,it just disgusted me at their disrespect."Ruth looks at Willie and asks"So he really had nobody here?"Willie grabs Ruth's hand and tells her"He'd come to the house often at dinner time and have dinner with Sidney,Aretha,and I.We always talked about the good days.The last time I seen him,he told us he was selling Hell Hill to Adam's Landing and moving to Blue Ridge.He went there often."Ruth sits back and tells Willie as she has a flashback"He came to see me a few times after we divorced and Ava was angry at him over what happened as was I,but Ava forgave him and I did too.I'm not angry he married Beth.I know Beth wasn't out for herself."Willie tells Ruth"Beth is a great person.Take comfort knowing she was there for B.R. as well as Xavier."Ruth says to Willie with disappointment in her voice"I think Tenny Sullivan was right when she said I didn't raise my kids right."Willie scolds Ruth and tells her"You did a fine job Ruth.You can't help what happened with the outcome."Ruth hears something break inside and Ruth and Willie walks inside and Frank has thrown his wedding photo with Beth years ago across the room with anger in his eyes and tells his Mother"Once again,Beth keeps a secret from me.Damn her!"Ruth looks at Willie and Willie heads back home,as Ruth reminds her Son"The two of you were divorced Frank.And you were never there for your Father."Frank yells"You're not mad about it?"Ruth looks at Frank and asks him"Why should I be mad Frank?I'm glad that B.R. had someone in his last years.What I really wish was that you would have been there more as well."Frank tries to explain and Ruth sternly says to him"I don't give a damn about your reasons Frank!He was your Father and he took care of you.You get over it!"Frank looks at his Mother and leaves and Ruth shakes her head and says to herself,as she looks up"I'm glad you had Beth in the end my love."
   Back at Hell Hill,Leigh returns home and finds Floyd and Maria in the living room and Floyd introduces Leigh to his daughter and Leigh asks Floyd"Where's X?"Floyd tells Leigh"He left earlier in a hurry.'Leigh shakes her head and Beth comes downstairs and Beth is dressed to head down to Jazz and Leigh asks Beth"Where is my husband?"Beth rolls her eyes and says"I have an idea where he is."Xavier returns and Leigh and Beth looks at him and asks Xavier"Where did you go?"Xavier tells them"I went to the bank."Xavier tells them"I just took care of some things.And now I'm home."Leigh tells her husband"You are recovering X!The last thing you need to be worrying about is Chant Hale!"Beth meanwhile asks Floyd"Are you going with me down to Jazz?"Floyd tips his cowboy hat and Maria asks her Father"I see you're going out?"Floyd smiles and says to his daughter"Wish your Pop some luck darlin.I'm going to meet up with a lady."Maria rolls her eyes and Beth tells Maria"Make yourself comfortable."Beth and Floyd heads out as Leigh tells Xavier"Latoya called and she's singing at Jazz tonight."Xavier tells his wife"Go get dressed and we'll go cheer her on."Leigh looks at Xavier suspiciously and tells him"You're up to something."Xavier,who's dressed up asks Maria"Would you mind watching Gracie and Xavier Jr?"Maria tells them"I'd be glad to."Leigh tries to talk Xavier out of going and he tells his wife"It's time we get out for a change."Leigh rolls her eyes,as Maria heads to the nursery,and Xavier is alone in the living room,as he makes a phone call and asks Sayyid"Are you there?"Sayyid,who's outside of Jazz,tells him"I'm here."Leigh changes clothes and freshens up and she and Xavier heads to Jazz's Grand Opening.
    Down at Jazz,Sully and Jared has arrived and Aretha has arrived with Terrance,as he tells his sister"Leigh's set me up for a blind date."Aretha looks at Terrance and tells him"I hope it works out.I'm going to visit our cousin."In Latoya's dressing room,Rashad and Sassy are in there with her as she prepares to perform for the first time and Jermaine walks in and tells his daughter"You're going to do great!"Sassy looks at Jermaine in shock and asks him"So you finally decided to be a Father?"Jermaine tells Sassy"I owe her and we made amends."Sassy is suspicious,but Latoya tells her Mother"Give him a break."Sassy hugs Latoya,and warns Jermaine"Don't hurt my daughter."Jermaine tells Sassy"I've hurt her enough and now I want to be a part of her life."In Allan's dressing room,he tells the members of his band"We're about to rock the house."Keith walks into Allan's dressing room and tells him"I have found out who owns your copyrights Allan."Allan asks"Who is it?"Keith tells him"Rich didn't get wealthy off his restaurant chain alone.He got wealthy off of you."Keith heads out and Allan tells his band"Head on to the stage."Allan makes a phone call."In Keith's office,Aretha arrives and sees Chant in there and Aretha angrily asks Chant"Why are you here?"Chant snarks"I have nothing to tell you Aretha."Aretha asks in a unassuming tone"You don't?"Sayyid walks inside Keith's office and sees Chant and pulls out his pistol and rushes to Chant and knocks him to the ground and puts his pistol to Chant's mouth and angrily says to him"This has been a long time coming you son of a bitch!"

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 165. The Arraignment

   At the Adam's Landing Courthouse, Ruth,Frank,Bree,Summer,Tenny,Ciarra,Winston,Jared,and Aretha take their seats on the left side of the Courtroom as Bobby tells them"This should be quick and easy."Tenny tells Bobby"I want them all dead for what they did to the home I spent the best years of my life in."Ruth walks over to the defendant's side of the Courtroom,as Brock Jr,Tommy,and Chant stands next to Cara and Brock Jr looks at his Mother and asks her"Where have you been Mama?"Ruth looks at her youngest son and her grandson and gets emotional and slaps both of them and snaps"I'm ashamed of both of you and Junior,each time I hear you call me Mama,it makes me all the more sick!"Tenny watches on,as she sits next to Ciarra and she quips to her sister"It looks like Granny Ruth's finally waking up."Ciarra quietly snaps"Shut up Tennessee."Ruth returns to her seat as she stands with her family,as Summer is quiet and Chant winks at her and Summer freezes up and Bree fumes with anger,but keeps it in control as The Judge walks inside and everyone rises as The Judge calls the Arraignment to order as Bobby walks up to the stand to make his case.
   Down at Jazz,Allan arrives as he finds Jermaine there and asks Jermaine"How did everything go with Latoya?"Jermaine shakes his head and tells Allan"I couldn't go through with it Allan.I got to the door and couldn't knock."Allan looks at Jermaine and tells him"I see on the marquee that Latoya will be singing tonight down here?"Jermaine tells Allan"I think that's the way I'm going to make up for not being there for her.I'm going to give her a chance to perform."Allan and Jermaine walks over to the stage and does a sound check,as Jazz prepares for it's grand opening and Allan stands on the stage and has a flashback to his days as a Rock and Roll singer and his former band mates,except for Rich arrives and they all hug and Allan tells them"We're going to rock out the house tonight."Meanwhile Jermaine walks back into the office and finds Keith there,as he hangs up the phone and Jermaine asks Keith,as he notices a look of doom on his face"Who were you on the phone with Keith?"Keith quickly changes subjects and asks Jermaine"Is Allan here?"Jermaine nods and Keith then asks"What about your daughter?"Jermaine tells Keith"I am going over to see Sassy and talk to Latoya."Keith tells Jermaine"She better show up or else I am kicking your sorry ass you deadbeat!"Jermaine looks at Keith and reminds him sternly"Who the hell you calling a deadbeat Keith?With your rap sheet,if all the skeletons in your closet were exposed,you'd be a dead man!"Keith tells Jermaine with confidence"Not a damn thing is going to happen to me.I just saved my own ass."Jermaine walks out and Keith has a flashback and makes another phone call.
   At Hell Hill,as Xavier is in the nursery with Gracie and Xavier Jr,Sayyid walks inside and asks Xavier"How does it feel to be back home with your kids?"Xavier,holding his daughter and son tells Sayyid"I am lucky to have lived.When the AVM in my stomach erupted years ago after I thought Leigh had passed,I thought I was going to die.I woke up one morning,getting ready to head down to Jim's,and got sick all of a sudden and Mother found me on the floor and it's something that I've had to deal with for many years,but I have been damn lucky."Sayyid tells Xavier"You've got a lot to live for Xavier.You need to just relax and take care of yourself."Xavier tells Sayyid"It's hard to do when you have so much to protect like a family legacy,your family,keeping the snakes out."Sayyid agrees but tells him"At least you have a great family and you don't have to worry now."Xavier is quiet as Sayyid walks out and he receives a text and responds"I want them executed!"Downstairs,Beth walks into the living room,after overhearing Floyd on the phone and laughs"I notice somebody has the hots for my Aunt."Floyd looks at Beth and responds with a laugh"It's impolite to eavesdrop Beth."Beth tells him"That's a nice thing for you to do,but my Aunt is going to be tough sell.She is shy and after losing Uncle Jacob and with keeping an eye on Mama,you have your work cut out for you."Floyd tells Beth"There's just something about Ciarra Sullivan that lights up my heart.She is down to earth and I don't know how to describe it Beth,it's like love at first sight."Beth tells Floyd"If you really want to win her over,come with me to Jazz tonight.Mama will be yelling at me and you'll have a clear shot with my Aunt."Floyd asks Beth"How are you going to do that?"Beth assures him"I'll make her go.After this arraignment is over,she'll need a distraction other than work."Floyd looks at Beth and tells her with love in his voice"Ciarra amazes me.She really does."
   Down at Class,Leigh introduces Sully to Marco Cavetti,as he is sitting in Sully's office,going over her work and tells Sully"You are the spitting image of your Mother."Sully asks Marco"You were Mom's agent years ago right?"Marco nods and tells Sully"Leigh was the top model in the world.She was the queen of the catwalk.Looking at your work,I think she needs to walk down the catwalk one more time."Leigh reminds Marco"And what did I tell you about that?"Marco,as well as Sully tells Leigh"You should do it."Marco adds"Looking at Sully's designs,you could have the comeback of the century!"Leigh tells Marco"The only thing I'm interested in is my family,and helping Sully run this company.That's all I want to do.Also consider that X may not like it if I decide to go back into modeling."Sully looks at her Mother and tells her"Daddy shouldn't have an issue with it."Marco is quiet and shakes his head and tells Sully"When Leigh was shot,he thought she had died in his arms.After everything happened,I haven't seen him since.Your Mother may be right."Sully looks at them and says with a sigh"Daddy never did speak of that night in Paris.I used to ask him about it and he'd grow quiet and change the subject."Leigh meanwhile changes subjects and tells Marco"I got everything arranged.Terrance will be waiting for you tonight at Jazz."Sully asks her Mother"Are you playing matchmaker?"Leigh laughs and Marco tells Leigh"I am nervous about this."Leigh tells Marco"Everything will be fine.I'll make sure of it."Sully asks Leigh"Are you and Daddy going down to the grand opening?"Leigh tells Sully"X and I have plans for tonight at home.But your Grandmother is going."Sully tells them"Jared and I are going and I think it's sweet that Mom's trying to play matchmaker."Marco quips"She does have a winning record."Sully laughs as they all begin to talk business.
   Meanwhile at Jackson Inc,Ava and Burt are in his office as Burt asks her"Shouldn't you be at the Courthouse?"Ava responds"Winston and Jared are there and Aretha's covering it online."as she checks her tablet and the secretary walks into Burt's office and tells Burt and Ava"Someone is here to see you."Burt and Ava looks at each other as Burt tells his secretary"Bring them in here."A woman walks into the office and asks Burt and Ava"I'm looking for my Pop."Ava looks at Burt,and the woman and Ava asks"Who is Pop?"The woman looks at Ava and responds"Ava Jackson.I have heard about you.I want to know where my Pop is."Ava looks at the woman up and down and asks her again"Who is your Pop?"The woman tells Ava"Floyd Jackson."Ava and Burt sits back and Ava asks the woman"I know of his two children,Rudy and Claire,but who are you?"The woman tells them"I'm his youngest daughter Maria."Ava is silent for a moment and she tells Maria"Do you know where Hell Hill is?"Maria responds"The Jackson Estate?"Ava tells her"For most of us,it's simply Hell Hill and I'm sure you know the stories,knowing Uncle Floyd."Maria quips"Oh hell yes I do."Ava tells Maria"It's out on the edge of town on the main road,after you cross the bridge,there it is."Maria thanks Ava and tells her"I'm glad to have met you Ava."Ava is quiet as Maria walks out,heading to Hell Hell."Burt looks at Ava and says"She looks familiar."Ava is quiet as she tells Burt"Uncle Floyd is full of surprises."Meanwhile Ava checks her updates on Chant,Brock Jr,and Tommy's arraignment and her eyes widen and Burt says to Ava"I know that look."Ava tells Burt"I'm headed to the Courthouse!"Ava rushes out as Burt notices that Ava's left her tablet behind and looks at it and rolls his eyes.
   At Sassy's house,Latoya sits in the living room with Rashad,as they watch TV,and there's a knock on the door and Latoya answers it and sees Jermaine and yells"Go to hell!"and attempts to slam the door,but Jermaine lets himself inside.Rashad stands up and tells Jermaine"Latoya wants nothing to do with you.What part of that don't you understand?"Jermaine looks at them and comes out and tells his daughter"Latoya,I messed up and I know I did.I wanted to ask you to come down to Jazz tonight and sing.I heard you sing when I stood outside of Hell Hill and you have a beautiful voice and I want to try to make up for lost time."Latoya looks at her Father suspiciously and asks him"Why were you at my job?"Jermaine tells her"I wanted to apologize for the way I acted.I see the error of my ways and I want to be your Father,if you let me."Rashad looks at Jermaine and Latoya looks at Rashad,as he tells his girlfriend"He sounds sincere."Jermaine,with tears in his eyes tells Latoya"I am very sincere.I want to be there for you and I think you singing tonight at Jazz could be your big break."Latoya is silent,as she's overwhelmed and says shyly"I never sung in front of a crowd before."Rashad tells Latoya,as he hugs her"I'll be there and so will your family.You have nothing to fear."Latoya looks at her Father,as Jermaine looks at Latoya and she asks him with tears in her eyes"You really want to be my Dad?"Jermaine walks up to Latoya and tells her,as he starts to cry"Yes I do."Latoya and Jermaine hugs as Rashad watches on,also getting emotional,as he thinks about his Father,as he doesn't know anything about him.
   Back at The Courthouse,Chant,Brock Jr,and Tommy have all pleaded innocent on all charges and Bobby and Cara go into the Judge's chambers to talk to him,as everyone awaits outside for the Arraignment to be complete.Ruth,Frank,and Bree supports Summer as she starts to grow scared and she looks at her family and tells them with tears"I deserved it.I deserved it."Bree looks at her sister,with shock and tells Summer"No woman or girl deserves to be raped Summer.What Chant did to you was horrible and he should pay for it."Summer starts to cry,as she begins to break down and says"I went after Jared and I have put myself in this position."Ruth tells her Granddaughter"You did not deserve to be raped.You've made your mistakes,but you didn't deserve what happened to you."Meanwhile Winston and Jared talks amongst themselves and Winston tells his Grandson,as he notices Summer breaking down"I don't like what I see."Jared is quiet."Meanwhile Tenny and Ciarra are silent, as Tenny pulls out her cigarette pouch and Ciarra tells her sister"You can't smoke in a Courtroom Tennessee."Tenny grabs Ciarra's hand,as she looks over at Brock Jr,Tommy,and Chant and gives them an evil look.Brock Jr yells at Tenny"So does my Mama know yet about that whoring daughter of yours marrying my Daddy?"Ruth looks at him,as Tenny stands up and walks over to Brock Jr,as Ciarra tries to stop her,but Tenny pushes her away and Tenny slaps Brock Jr to the floor with red in her eyes,as Ruth and Frank walk over and ask Tenny"Is Junior telling the truth?"Bobby,Cara,and The Judge returns to the Courtroom and Ruth,Frank,and Tenny returns to their places,as The Judge begins to give his verdict.The Judge tells the defendants"Brock Rudolph Jackson Jr,Tommy Jackson,Chant Hale.."Summer runs to the stand and yells with tears in her eyes as Bree tries to stop her sister,but to no avail as Summer tells The Judge"Chant Hale didn't rape me!I asked for it!"Brock Jr gets angry and looks at Chant and tells him"I will kill your sorry ass Chant!Best hope we don't share the same cell."Cara tells them"Shut up!"Ruth,Frank,Winston,and Jared are all stunned and shocked as Bree tells The Judge"My sister didn't mean it your honor.This is common at times when a woman's been raped."Summer yells"I don't want to press charges.I just want to move on!"Tenny and Ciarra are both stunned themselves as both of them are silent.At Hell Hill,Beth is upstairs with Gracie and Xavier Jr,as Xavier,Sayyid,and Floyd watches the Arraignment from the study on the computer and Xavier,Sayyid,and Floyd are all quiet as Beth sits in the nursery and watches from her tablet.Beth walks downstairs and there's a knock at the door as she answers the door and it's Maria and she asks Beth"Where's my Pop?"At Jazz,Jermaine returns as a banker leaves and he walks into Keith's office and Keith tells Jermaine"Tonight will be make or break!"Jermaine asks Keith suspiciously"What did you just do?"Back at The Courthouse,The Judge gives his ruling and says"Brock Rudolph Jackson Jr and Tommy,you're being held without bail for the murder of Brock Rudolph Jackson Sr and the vandalizing of The Sullivan Estate.Chant Hale,since Summer Marx has dropped her charges against you,and although you did fake your death,which is a felony,and there's no evidence to be presented to show you were behind the vandalizing and destruction of The Sullivan Estate,your bail has been posted and you're free to go,but you can not leave Adam's Landing."Ava walks into the Courtroom as she hears the verdict and Aretha tells her"I can't believe this."Ava is silent,fuming with anger.As Brock Jr and Tommy are taken back to their cells,they tell Ruth"You should go see Beth and find out what other secrets she's hiding."Ruth looks at Frank,as Bree looks at Summer and tells her sister"You're going to City Hospital.I'm admitting you."Summer yells at Bree"I am perfectly fine."Bree grabs Summer's arm and says to her"The hell you are."Winston,Ava,and Jared walks up to Chant and he tells them"I am a free man."Winston warns"With a bounty on your head."Chant walks out of the Courtroom as Tenny blocks him and kicks him in the groin and yells"You bastard.You sick,twisted bastard,as Chant drops to his knees.At Hell Hill,Floyd walks into the living room as he hears a voice and he sees his Daughter,Maria Jackson and she asks her Father"So this is where you came?You need to get a cellphone Pop."In Xavier's study,Sayyid punches the wall with anger in his eyes as Xavier sits in his chair and pulls out a pistol and tells Sayyid"You know what to do."Beth walks in the study and Xavier asks his Mother"So is is true that you remarried my Father?"Beth is silent and tells her son"Yes."
