Daylight And Darkness: Episode 234. Right On Time

It's a chilly autumn morning in Adam's Landing, and at Sully and Jared's Penthouse, Jared sits in the living room, as he holds Gracie, as Sully comes out of the bedroom, with Xavier Jr, and tells her Husband "I think we could have twins Jared. It'd be better than having one child." Jared looks at his Wife, and laughs "I think we'll stick with one for now. What possessed you to volunteer to watch your Brother and Sister?" Sully tells Jared "I thought we could get some experience before Ruthie arrives." Jared asks his Wife "If you wanted experience, then we should have just watched one. We're not having twins." Sully kisses her Husband, and tells him "Twins do run on Daddy's side of the family." Jared sighs "I'll keep that in mind." Sully asks Jared "So how's Winston?" Jared turns to Sully, and tells her "He has a brain tumor and his odds aren't in his favor. Especially with Ava being in charge." Sully laughs "Winston will regret ever pissing her off. I'd sure hate to know she held my life in her hands, and I was on her shit list." Jared reminds her "You mean hit list Sully. Your family has two lists." Sully quips "I think they are one in the same." Sully's phone rings, and she answers as it's Leigh, and Leigh asks her Daughter "Did they exhaust you sweetie?" Sully tells her Mother "Not really. Jared on the other hand, he had a hard time." Leigh tells Sully "X's went to City Hospital this morning, and I'm on my way over to pick up Gracie and Xavier Jr." Sully hangs up, and tells Jared "Mom's on her way over. Maybe today you can rest." Jared quips "There's no rest for me right now. Grandfather's possibly on his deathbed, and I have Jackson Inc to keep safe from vultures." Sully kisses Jared, and tells him "The vulture's in City Hospital in ICU, and Fancy's off in Europe trying to find her Son. I don't think Daddy would be pissed if you stayed out." Jared puts his arm around Sully, and tells her "I think I will take the day off." Sully smiles, as she puts her head on Jared's shoulder, and softly tells him "Soon, we'll have our own family. You, me, and our little girl." Jared kisses Sully, and smiles, as he responds "It's what I've always wanted."
At City Hospital, Winston lays in his Hospital Bed, as Ava sits by his bedside, and takes a drink from her flask, as she quips "Maybe Xavier knows how to silence your ventilator. I'll ask him when he stops by to chat." Winston lays in the bed unconscious, as he's in a coma." Meanwhile Xavier walks inside his Mother's office, as Terrance and Olivia are inside, and tells them "Mother's on her way home. I sent a jet to Blue Ridge and she should be home this evening." Terrance asks Xavier "So who's in charge now?" Xavier looks at Terrance, and asks him "Mother is in charge of City Hospital Terrance. You're 2nd in command." Olivia tells Xavier "According to this letter, Beth resigned." Xavier reads the letter, and Terrance tells him "Tenny told me to ignore it and see if she will return. It isn't like your Mother to do this." Xavier looks at Terrance and Olivia, and tells them "My Mother's not well right now. Bobby's with her, and he's keeping me posted on things. I want the two of you to run City Hospital until my Mother can return." Terrance asks Xavier "Do you think she'll want to stay CEO of City Hospital?" Xavier assures him "This hospital means the world to Mother, as does saving lives. Once she gets through Grandma's death, she should return. Just give her time." Xavier walks out, as Terrance tells Olivia "We're about to really be tested. Winston's in the ICU, and Clair's barely alive." Olivia asks Terrance "Wasn't that doctor supposed to start today?" Terrance responds "They've already started." Olivia tells him "Maybe she can help us out. She's one of the top doctors in the state." Terrance looks at Olivia, and tells her in a tone of uncertainty "Something's off with her. I think we need to monitor her closely." Olivia tells Terrance "I will do that." Terrance and Olivia heads out, as Terrance heads to Clair's room, as Olivia gets a phone call from her Father, as Davis tells her "I'm back home." Olivia tells her Father "I hate it you had to leave so soon Daddy." Davis tells her "With Desi and Rachel in town, I wasn't going to stay any longer than I had to." Olivia quips "I certainly understand." Olivia hangs up the phone, as someone walks up and asks her "Where's Clair Feldman's room?" Olivia asks the person "Are you related to her? She was stabbed last night and only family's allowed inside." The person tells Olivia "I'm her physician and I am working here temporarily." Olivia tells the woman "What's your name?" The woman tells Olivia, and she tells her "Clair's down the hall. Just page me or Terrance if you need any help." The woman smiles, and tells Olivia "I won't need any help." The woman walks away, as Olivia says to herself "She's creepy."
Meanwhile in Clair's room, Nathan sits by his Mother's side, as Clair asks her Son, as she wakes "When did you arrive?" Nathan tells his Mother "I came when Grandpa called me last night." Clair, in a weakened tone, asks Nathan "Daddy was worried about me?" Nathan looks at his Mother, and tells her "He's very concerned. He was here until I arrived, and he left." Clair rolls her eyes, and tells her Son "I guess Ciarra needed some attention." Nathan tells his Mother, with frustration in his voice "Mom, he went to pay the Reverend a visit this morning." Clair gets angry, as she yells at Nathan "Lynn didn't stab me. And it's too damn late for my Daddy to play hero!" Nathan gets up, and looks at his Mother, and angrily tells her "I am so damn sick of you playing victim Mom. Ever since you've come to Adam's Landing, you have went off the deep end. I don't even know you anymore." Clair yells at Nathan "I have a life Nathan, and I intend to enjoy it. Lynn and I have always loved each other! He's more of a man than Allan or Clint could ever say for themselves." Nathan sighs with disgust "I need to head down to my new office." Clair yells for Nathan as he walks out, but Nathan ignores his Mother." Meanwhile outside Clair's room, the doctor stands and says to herself "This only gets easier."
Down at The Sunset Club, Lynn walks into the lobby, as he heads up to the bar, and Floyd walks up to Lynn, and Lynn goes "Floyd! I haven't seen you in how long, 40 years?" Floyd punches Lynn in the mouth, and picks him up and yells "What in the hell did you do to my daughter you son of a bitch?" Lynn, scared for his life, tells Floyd "I swear I had nothing to do with it. I'm just as upset as you are." Floyd yells at Lynn "I've never liked your ass, even when you were a kid. I always saw behind that fake smile, and saw the smart ass brat you really were! You're nothing but a lying, two faced bastard, and to know you are a preacher, just makes me sick." Lynn pushes Floyd back, and tells him "You have no room to judge me you old bastard, and Clair and I have caught up. You should be ashamed of yourself Floyd!" Floyd looks at Lynn, as he's puzzled, and asks "And what in the hell should I be ashamed of? I'm not a preacher  that's sleeping around on his Wife and stealing funds from the church." Lynn laughs "So you can read now? That's good. Ever considered reading the bible? Wait, too many words, maybe a children's book?" Floyd attacks Lynn, as he knocks him to the floor, and Floyd kicks him in his side, and yells "I'm about to stomp your ass boy. I don't play this shit with anyone!" Mary and Rose meanwhile come off the elevator, and they witness Floyd and Lynn's fight, and Mary yells at Floyd "Stop it! Just stop!" Floyd turns to Mary, and looks at Lynn, and kicks him one more time, as he pulls Lynn up, and tells him "Be thankful your Mama stopped me Lynn. If you come around Clair again, I'll do more than indent my boot in your side!" Floyd walks away, and Rose laughs at her Father "About time somebody kicked your ass!" Lynn snaps at his Daughter "Get lost!" Rose quips "Gladly." Rose walks off, and Mary asks her Son "Are you alright?" Lynn yells at his Mother "I am fine!" Lynn walks away, as Mary wipes a tear from her eye, as she says to herself "What happened to you Lynn?" Mary gets a phone call from Andy, and Andy tells his Great-Aunt "I've made my decision. Meet me at Chantel's." Mary heads over to meet Andy, and she sends a text, and responds "I think he's accepting."
Meanwhile at Jackson Inc, Ciarra sits in her office, as she checks Emery's sales report, and Tenny and Precious walks inside, as Tenny asks her Sister "Shouldn't you and Floyd be heading off on a honeymoon?" Ciarra tells Tenny "We have one planned to Texas, but we're not leaving until Beth returns." Tenny sits at Ciarra's desk, and sighs "Beth will be home today. I just talked to her and she and Bobby were at the airport." Ciarra looks at Tenny, and asks "Bobby? Bobby Whitten?" Tenny nods, and laughs "My sweet Beth has finally found a man that's a keeper. Bobby went to Blue Ridge and took care of her. More than I can say for Frank." Ciarra is taken back, and goes "I wouldn't have thought Beth and Bobby were seeing each other." Tenny looks at Ciarra, and tells her "You should be paying closer attention. Those two have been close for some time. I hope they marry. I can finally have a Son In Law that I could invite to family functions, and he isn't a Jackson. Makes my heart skip a beat." Ciarra rolls her eyes, as she warns Tenny "I hope you're not about to start Tennessee." Tenny tells her Sister "I have no problems with the Cowboy. Only with Frank." Ciarra tells Tenny "I think you shouldn't even be worried about him since Beth's moved on." Tenny sighs "Frank is a jealous man. If he breaks up Beth and Bobby, then I will neuter him." Ciarra takes a deep breath, and tells Tenny "I have some work to catch up on, and I'm really not in the mood to hear you planning for the worst. Hopefully Beth and Bobby will be happy, and I wish them luck." Tenny changes subjects, and asks Ciarra "So how's Clair? She was on the news this morning. Somebody stabbed her." Ciarra sighs "She nearly died. Floyd isn't taking it well." Tenny quips "Wouldn't hurt me if the bitch died. Whore." Ciarra snaps "Don't you have a date with your marijuana Tennessee? Or somewhere to be besides here?" Tenny looks around, and says in a distant tone "I do don't I? Maybe that's why I'm bitchy." Tenny yells at Precious, and they head for her Penthouse, as Tenny receives a text, and tells Ciarra "I'll let you know when Beth comes home. Don't work too hard. I don't want my oldest sister to have a heart attack." Tenny heads out, as Ciarra rolls her eyes, and gets back to work, as she preps Emery's for the holiday season.
At Chantel's, Andy sits at his table, as Summer walks inside, and Andy calls his Cousin over, and Summer tells Andy "If you want to judge me and cuss me out, then I don't want to hear it." Andy tells Summer to sit down, and tells her "I have no intentions to do that. I noticed you were hesitant yesterday at Grandma's Funeral. Like Rachel set you up." Summer tells Andy "It was her idea. When she mentioned money, that was when I reluctantly accepted her offer." Andy asks his Cousin "Have you ever considered making peace with everyone. Grandma would want all of us to be one. Right now, you're the only one that's distant from the family." Summer laughs "Our family has never seen me as anything more than the child that ruined Ava." Andy tells Summer "I know about everything that's happened. Aunt Ava doesn't forget anything, and I think you should consider a new start." Summer asks Andy "What are you eluding to? Running away?" Andy tells Summer "Not running away, a new start. Where you can redeem yourself." Summer asks Andy "Any suggestions?" Andy tells Summer "I'm about to accept Aunt Mary's proposal to be head pastor at Caney Head Chapel. You should come with me." Summer is quiet, and she grabs her stomach, and tells Andy "That was strong." Andy asks Summer, noticing pain "Aren't you close to delivering your baby?" Summer nods, and she feels another contraction, and tells Andy "I think I'm going into labor." Andy calls the paramedics, as Mary arrives, and asks Andy "So you decided to take the offer?" Andy nods, and Mary notices Summer going into labor, and Mary tells Andy "I think we should take Summer to the Hospital ourselves, instead of an ambulance. They can be very slow." Andy helps his Cousin up, as Andy and Mary takes Summer to City Hospital, as she prepares to give birth.
Meanwhile at Sully and Jared's Penthouse, Leigh arrives, as she sits in the living room, with Sully and Jared, and asks them "So these two weren't any trouble?" Sully tells her Mother "They were little angels. I can't wait for Ruthie to come into the world." Leigh looks at her Daughter, and tells her "It shouldn't be much longer Sully. You look like you could pop at any moment." Sully quips "I think she's ready. I know I am." Jared laughs "I think we all are." Leigh tells her Daughter and Son In Law "I think Ruthie will bring some light into all of our lives. Your Grandmother could use it." Sully asks her Mother "Has she called Daddy this morning? I really want her here when I deliver." Leigh assures Sully "She's not going to miss Ruthie's arrival for nothing in the world. And she's on her way back as we speak." Sully smiles for a moment, and suddenly grabs her stomach, and tells her Mother and Husband "Speaking of Ruthie, she's getting ready to make her arrival." Leigh grows panic, as she asks her Daughter "Are you sure Sully?" Sully feels another contraction, and tells her Mother, with pain starting to show "I'm positive!" Leigh gets Gracie, and Xavier Jr, and tells them "Behave yourselves when we get to City Hospital." Jared calls the paramedics, as Leigh calls Xavier, and tells him "Ruthie's about to arrive!" Xavier, outside Winston's room at City Hospital, smiles, and tells his Wife "I'll be here when you all arrive." Leigh heads across the hall, and sees Rose standing outside Tenny's door, as she prepares to walk inside, and Leigh tells Rose "Let Tenny know her namesake's about to arrive."  Rose walks inside Tenny's Penthouse, as Tenny and Precious sits in front of the TV, as Tenny smokes a joint, and watches her favorite soap, and Rose tells her "Sully's about to give birth." Tenny looks at Rose, and goes "Oh?" Meanwhile, the paramedics arrive, and Sully's carried out, as Jared follows, and Tenny walks out, and asks Rose "Are you stoned?" Rose tells her "I think you should go with them." Tenny walks out, and yells at Leigh "Leave the twins with Rose. You can ride with me." Leigh reluctantly listens to Tenny, and sternly warns Rose "If anything happens to Gracie and Xavier Jr, your ass is mine, and don't smoke around my kids!" Rose assures her "I won't." Leigh rushes out, as Tenny waits for her, as they follow the paramedics to City Hospital.
At Nationwide Records, Nathan sits inside his office, as he smokes a blunt, and Allan walks inside, and asks his Son "How's Clair?" Nathan responds "I think Mom will be fine. She's on her high horse." Allan looks around Nathan's office, and tells his Son "This office is very hip and retro. I love this!" Nathan responds "Thank you Dad." Allan pulls out a blunt, and tells Nathan "Try not to be too hard on your Mom." Nathan looks at his Father, and responds "She's almost lost me Dad. She's not the Mom I knew in L.A." Allan takes a toke, and tells his Son "Your Mom was never perfect Son. Far from it. Very far." At City Hospital, Xavier and Ava stands in Winston's room, as Xavier tells his Sister "We're about to see some daylight sis. Sully's about to give birth." Ava looks at her Brother, and tells him "Let's go be with her." Xavier and Ava heads to the Maternity Ward. In Clair's room, Olivia walks inside, as she checks Clair's vitals, and notices Clair's heartbeat dropping, and Olivia texts Terrance, and tells him "Someone has overdosed Clair Feldman. She's falling!" Terrance, in the Maternity Ward, as Summer has arrived, with Andy, Mary, and Bree, who's just arrived, responds "Your call. Contact Floyd or her Son and go from there." Meanwhile Clair flat-lines, and Olivia shakes her head, as Clair has died, and Olivia walks out of Clair's room, and tells the nurses "Have Clair Feldman taken down to the morgue. I'm ordering an immediate Autopsy." Olivia heads off, as the new doctor walks up and asks "What happened?" The nurse tells her "Clair Feldman's dead." The doctor sighs "It's so sad to lose a patient." The doctor heads off, with a smile on her face, as she mumbles "That's what you get bitch. Hope hell is ready for you." Meanwhile, Xavier and Ava arrive at the Maternity Ward, as Ciarra has arrived, and Floyd, and Ciarra tells them "Sully's in the birthing room. Leigh's in there with her, and Jared." Xavier heads inside, as Ava stands outside with Ciarra and Floyd, and Tenny walks up a few moments later, and tells them "Looks like that whore's giving birth also. Damn. Summer's child will share the same damn birthday with my namesake." Ciarra glares at her Sister, as Ava is silent. In Sully's Birthing Room, the OBGYN tells Sully, Jared, Xavier, and Leigh "She's ready." Jared holds Sully's hand, as Xavier and Leigh stands by their Daughter, as Sully begins to push. In Summer's Birthing Room, Terrance tells Summer, as Mary and Andy holds her hands "Push." Bree stands outside, and walks out of the waiting room, and sees Ava, and asks her "What are you doing here?" Ava tells Bree "It looks like Sully's about to deliver Ruthie into the world." Bree walks over to Sully's waiting room. Meanwhile at Adam's Landing International Airport, Bobby tells Beth "It looks like you have work to do." Beth asks "What in the hell are you talking about Bobby?" Bobby responds "Your Granddaughter's in labor." Beth looks at Bobby, and yells "Let's go!"

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 233. Challenges

Evening has fallen on Adam's Landing, and at The Farm, Frank, Cale, Allison, Bree, Andy, and Mary sit inside the living room, as they all reminisce of their time with Ruth. Frank tells everyone "I can't believe what happened earlier at Mama's Funeral." Mary tells her Nephew "I have never saw anything like it. I really hope   that all of you can do as Ruth says and come together." Bree looks at her Great-Aunt, and tells her "I think a new era has started for our family." Cale looks around, and holds Allison's hand, and tells his family "I couldn't believe Summer and that Rachel Lane showed up." Frank rolls his eyes, as he tells his Son "Ava was ready to kill both of them. She would have too if she could have." Mary looks at everyone, and tells them "Ava took after Ruth in many ways, but she's got Brock's temper." Bree laughs "Aunt Ava's in a league of her own." Mary agrees with Bree, and looks at her watch, and tells everyone "I need to go to my room and call home. I will be in Adam's Landing for a few more days before I head back to Unity." Frank tells his Aunt "I read about Lynn and Clair in The Exposer. I imagine you're having a hard time with that." Mary looks at her Nephew, and tells him "I would prefer not to talk about that. Lynn has broke my heart, and that's all I can really say." Mary hugs everyone, as she heads to The Sunset Club, and Frank turns to Andy and asks him "What did Aunt Mary tell you after Mama's Funeral?" Andy looks at his Uncle, and tell them "I think I may have a job. She offered me the reverend's seat at her church in Unity." Bree, Frank, Cale, and Allison all congratulate Andy, and he tells them "Don't get too excited yet. I'm debating if I'm taking it. I told her I would get back to her on the offer." Frank tells his Nephew "If Aunt Mary offers you something like that, you take it." Bree agrees with Frank, and Cale and Allison both tell him "You could work wonders for her church and bring some credibility back after Lynn's affair with Clair." Andy tells them "It's going to be very difficult to do. That's a large church, and scandals like that can destroy a church. Also add that my last name and relations won't work in my favor." Bree assures her Cousin "This is what you've wanted for a long time. Take it." Everyone agrees, as Andy silently considers it.
At Hell Hill, Xavier and Leigh sits in the living room, as Xavier looks at his Wife, and tells her "So we have this house all to ourselves. Princess is watching Gracie and Xavier Jr, and.." Leigh looks at her Husband, and tells him "Are you thinking what I think you are X?" Xavier kisses Leigh, and whispers "Let's take advantage of our quiet time my love." Leigh tells Xavier "I'm worried about Sully. She has her hands full watching Gracie and Xavier Jr. Jared's at City Hospital with Winston, and he's not there to help her out." Xavier reminds his Wife "Grandma's across the hall. I'm sure she will help Sully if she asks." Leigh takes a deep breath, and Xavier tells her "I think you worry too much." Leigh is shocked, as she tells Xavier "Really X? You worry a hell of a lot more than I do." Xavier grabs Leigh's hand, and laughs "Maybe so. But our children are safe, we are together, and we never know if this is it. Let's enjoy ourselves." Leigh looks at Xavier, and he kisses her, and Xavier and Leigh heads upstairs, and once inside the bedroom, Xavier and Leigh kisses, as they undress each other, and jumps onto the bed, as they make love.
Meanwhile at The Evans Home, Willie, Aretha, Rashad, and Sayyid sits in the living room, as Aretha tells her family "I can't believe that bitch has the gall to show up at Ruth's Funeral. She best pray I don't see her on the street, because I'm beating her ass into the ground." Willie looks at Aretha, and sighs "I think you need to cool out! I think Rachel got the point today. I think all of us learned something today." Aretha looks at her Mother, and tells her "I doesn't even seem real." Willie agrees, as she pulls out her cards, and Rashad tells his Grandmother, Mother, and Great-Uncle "I think I'm heading upstairs to check on my Son. I'll pass on Grandma's version of blackjack." Sayyid sits quietly, as he is distant, and Willie tells her Brother "Clem, we have a rematch." Willie looks at Aretha, and tells her Daughter "I think we also have a rematch as well." Aretha rolls her eyes, and tells her Mother "I'm checking on Little Sidney. I thought I told you I was done with blackjack." Willie looks at Aretha, as she heads upstairs, and rolls her eyes, and quips "That child's plotting something. Rachel may have met her match now." Sayyid doesn't respond, and Willie asks her Brother "You sure been quiet Clem. What are you thinking about?" Sayyid looks at his Sister, and tells her "I can't get that Andre out of my head. Something's setting off alarms in my mind with him." Willie looks at her Brother, and tells him "You are worrying too much about him. Why are you obsessing over him so much Clem? You never do this." Sayyid looks at Willie, and confides "It's the last name, Parks. I knew a family in L.A. by the last name of Parks." Willie quips "There's Rosa Parks also Clem. Where are you going with this?" Sayyid looks down, and tells Willie "I knew a couple in South Central that were some of the nicest people, and they had a child." Willie takes her glasses off, and tells Sayyid in a suspicious tone "Clemmon Ross, I know when you're jumping around stones. You are being very vague." Sayyid looks at Willie, and tells his Sister "I don't want to say anything yet Willie. I want facts and proof first. Afterwards, I will tell you." Sayyid heads upstairs, and Willie thinks for a moment, and asks herself "Could he? No. Not Clem."
At The Sunset Club, Nathan, Andre, and Rose sits in his suite, as they all smoke marijuana, and Nathan tells them, in a dazed state "Was today a dream? Did I really see a ghost?" Rose tells him "I saw her too Nathan." Nathan looks at Rose, and laughs "Well we were both high earlier today also Rose. We could have been hallucinating." Rose looks at Nathan, and tells him "If we were hallucinating, then everyone else was as well. I only know of a few stoners at my Great Aunt's Funeral." Andre looks at Nathan and Rose, and asks them "What did you see?" Nathan tells him "Ruth Jackson made an appearance at her own funeral. Very surreal." Andre laughs, and asks "Was she on a cloud?" Nathan tells Andre "No. This shit was real as hell. I never believed in ghosts until today." Rose tells Nathan and Andre "I was raised to believe there was no such thing as ghosts. I can promise this though, I'll never stay a night at Hell Hill." Nathan laughs "That makes two of us." Meanwhile someone knocks on the door, and yells "Nathan. I need to talk to you now!" Nathan has an angry look, as does Rose, as Nathan lets Rachel inside, and she wraps her arms around Nathan and kisses him, and asks him in a seductive tone "Did today turn you on Nathan? I was a bad girl." Rose yells at Rachel "You have no damn respect Rachel! How could you bring cameras to someone's funeral?" Rachel turns her nose up to Rose, and asks her "Don't you have a bible to read? Where's your girlfriend? Oh yeah, at work." Nathan looks at Rachel, as he pushes her off of him, and tells her "Xavier was right about you. Right on!" Rachel gets defensive, and yells "Xavier and his family want me dead! They don't want me to be happy!" Andre takes a toke from his blunt, and sighs "This shit's about to get deep. I'm gone." Andre heads out, and Rose stands by Nathan, and angrily snaps at Rachel "After what you pulled today, no wonder this town hates you so much." Rachel looks at Rose, and hisses "Don't talk to me Rose. Leave Nathan and I alone. He's going to punish me and I want to be punished." Nathan quips "You're delusional bitch. I have no desire to be with you. You are one self-absorbed whore Rachel. And anyone who'd crash a funeral for someone as beloved as Ruth Jackson deserves pity." Rachel slaps Nathan, and yells "I think you should let my cameraman videotape us sometime and let your new family watch. Then you will understand." Rose yells at Rachel "How about you get the hell out of here? Nathan's clearly not interested in you." Rachel looks at Rose, and laughs "And he'd be interested in you? The preacher's daughter? The same preacher that's bedding his Mother?" Nathan yells at Rachel "Get the hell out of here!" Rachel looks at Nathan, and Rose, and sighs "Ok losers, I will leave. Nathan, you really lost out." Nathan points at the door, as Rachel walks out, and Rose asks Nathan "What did you see in her?" Nathan answers "A piece of ass. Nothing more. Nothing less." Rose quips "You are really blunt." Nathan shrugs, and looks at Rose, and tells her, as he stares into her eyes "I want a real woman, not a pariah." Rose stares at Nathan intently, as Nathan touches Rose's face, and kisses her. Rose doesn't back away, and returns the kiss. Nathan holds onto Rose, as they try to contain their attraction to each other, and they give into passion, as Nathan and Rose jumps onto his bed, and they begin to have sex.
At City Hospital, Jared and Country stands inside Winston's room, as he's been admitted, and Terrance walks inside, and tells them "Have either of you called Ava?" Jared tells Terrance "She should be here shortly." Ava walks inside, and sees Winston in the hospital bed, as he's quiet, and Terrance tells Ava "He's been placed on a ventilator. The MRIs indicated a brain tumor." Ava is despondent, and Jared asks Terrance "How bad is it?" Terrance tells Jared "He will need surgery if he wants to survive. But since he's in a coma, that decision's up to Ava." Ava looks at her Husband, and then looks at Jared and Country, and tells them "The both of you go home. I got it from here." Jared grows concerned for his Grandfather, and tells Ava "Keep me updated." Ava winks, as Jared and Country walks out, and Country tells Jared "Ava winked. Are you sure it's wise to leave her with Winston?" Jared laughs "I really don't give a shit." Jared and Country gets on the elevator, as they each head to their homes, and Ava looks at Winston, and asks Terrance "So he has a brain tumor?" Terrance nods, and tells Ava "I'm sorry I couldn't be at Ruth's Funeral today. I had a surgery to perform.." Ava tells Terrance "Willie told me." Terrance asks Ava "Can I do anything for you? I know you're going through hell right now, and this isn't helping." Ava turns to Terrance, and boldly tells him "The bastard in that hospital bed is my last worry. Let me have some time alone with my Husband. Go home and rest Terrance. You stay at this hospital too much." Terrance sighs "You're right. I need to check on Mama and Aretha. I heard about Rachel." Ava is quiet, and sighs "The whore's like a damn cat." Terrance heads out, as Ava sits at Winston's bedside, and pulls a flask out of her purse, and walks to the door, and notices the hall's quiet, and locks the door, and tells Winston "So here we are. You are in a coma, fighting for your life, and I have the choice to save you, or let you die." Ava takes a drink, and walks over to the electrical outlet, and stares for a moment, and turns to Winston's ventilator, and sighs "I wish I knew how to make this ventilator quiet." Ava stares at Winston, and smiles, as she pulls the cord out of the outlet, and goes "Oops." The nurse runs inside, and asks Ava "What happened?" Ava looks at the nurse and tells her "I think the cord is loose in the socket." The nurse plugs the cord back in, and gives a suspicious look at Ava, as she walks out, and Ava tells Winston "I now have a distraction." Ava takes a drink from her flask, and stares at Winston, with anger in her eyes, as she whispers in his ear "Maybe you should be lucky you're in this hospital bed and I don't know how to silence your life support, because I'd kill you."
Meanwhile at Floyd and Ciarra's Home at Whispering Hills, Floyd, Ciarra, Maria, and Rudy has dinner, as Maria tells everyone "I am heading home in the morning. I've got a red eye back to Texas." Floyd tells his Daughter "I really miss you living here." Maria tells her Father "Maybe you and Ciarra can come out and visit. Everyone misses you out on the ranch Pop." Floyd looks at his Wife, and Ciarra tells her Husband "I think you should go out for a visit." Maria and Floyd looks at Ciarra, as Floyd asks her "Aren't you going with me?" Ciarra tells them "I would, but I got some things to take care of here. I need to focus on Emery's, and prepare for the holidays." Maria laughs "I think you enjoy yourself too much with Emery's." Ciarra tells Maria "My first job was at Emery's many many years ago, and it's been a great challenge to revive the company. If I thought Ava could handle things, I'd come out to Texas, but I need to get back into routine again." Floyd tells Ciarra "We're not young anymore. And we need a honeymoon." Maria looks at Ciarra, and Ciarra sighs "Oh well, I succumb. I tend to forget about my laptop." Floyd looks at Maria, and tells his Daughter "The Wife and I are coming to Texas for a few days. Call the airport.." Ciarra stops Floyd, and reminds him "I'm not leaving town until Beth returns." Floyd sighs "When she comes home, we have one more thing to do." Maria tells her Father "I'm not in a rush Pop. I just think it would do the two of you some good to be away from Adam's Landing, and Clair." Rudy tells them "I've tried to call her this evening, but she hasn't answered. I wanted to see her before I left tonight." Floyd asks his Son "So you're leaving tonight?" Rudy tells everyone "I have some things to take care of myself back home." Floyd tells his Son "You and I are very much alike. Both of us don't stay in one place very long." Rudy laughs "I am your Son Pop." Floyd hugs Rudy, and tells him "You definitely are. Call us when you're safe." Rudy hugs Ciarra, and Maria, and Floyd tells his Son "Don't take 20 years to return home Rudolph. Remember my door's always open Son." Rudy hugs his Father, as he prepares to leave, and tells him "I will be back soon Pop. Maybe next time I can visit longer and things will be more peaceful." Floyd sighs "Me too." Rudy heads upstairs to grab his suitcase, and he heads for Adam's Landing International Airport, and Floyd takes a deep breath, as Ciarra and Maria stands by his side, as Floyd tells them "He's hiding something, but I have no idea what it could be." Ciarra tells her Husband "He may be a workaholic." Floyd laughs "That's my boy." Maria hugs her Father, and Ciarra, and tells them "I'm headed to bed. My flight's on time, and I'll be back in Texas by the time the two of you are up and moving tomorrow." Floyd looks at Maria, and tells his Daughter "Ciarra and I will be out to visit very soon. Give my Granddaughter a hug from her Papa." Maria holds back her tears, as she hugs her Father, and Ciarra, and tells them "She will be ecstatic." Maria heads to her room, as Floyd starts to cry, and Ciarra holds him, and tells him gently "They're grown." Floyd tells his Wife "I know. I need to spend more time with my children. I got a lot of errors to correct with Clair and Rudy." Ciarra holds onto Floyd, as he gets emotional, and he and Ciarra head to the bedroom, as they call it a night.
Back at The Sunset Club, Mary heads to the elevator, as she goes to her suite, as Lynn sees his Mother, and boldly tells her "I thought I told you to go home Mama?" Mary ignores Lynn, as she looks down, and Lynn tells her "So how was Aunt Ruth's Funeral? Did Brock Jr's spawn hold his own?" Mary tells her Son, with disdain in her voice "Andy's a fine young man, and he has done something you can't seem to do." Lynn asks his Mother "What in the hell are you talking about Mama?" Mary turns to Lynn, and takes a deep breath, and tells him "He can repent for his sins, and he does the Lord's work with humility. You have taken your gift and went against everything your Father and I ever taught you, and almost destroyed the church we saved." Lynn yells "I saved it Mama! Daddy didn't save a damn thing from Caney Head Chapel! I did! I was the Reverend that had his own show, and a perfect family!" Mary gets angry, and walks away from Lynn, as she heads up the stairs, as Lynn yells "Where in the hell are you going Mama?" Clair walks towards Lynn, and kisses him, as she asks "What's keeping you so long? I get scared without you." Lynn kisses Clair, as he tells her "I get scared too. Let's get back to what we were doing." Lynn and Clair returns to his suite, and in a distance, someone watches on, as they read The Exposer, and they put the paper down, as they follow Lynn and Clair.
At Hell Hill, Xavier and Leigh lay next to each other, as Xavier asks his Wife "How was that?" Leigh kisses Xavier, and tells him in a seductive tone "Addictive." Leigh gets on top of Xavier, as she tells him "Since our children are safe, and Beth's coming home tomorrow, I feel better." Xavier and Leigh picks up where they left off, as they make love passionately in their bed. At Bree's Mansion, Country returns, as Bree and Andy sits in the kitchen, and Country tells his Daughter "Winston's in City Hospital. Ava's keeping him company tonight." Bree and Andy ask him "What happened?" Country laughs "He has a brain tumor." Andy yells at Country "That's nothing to laugh about! He could die!" Country heads towards his bedroom, and quips "The sooner that bastard's in hell, the better." Andy looks at Bree, and asks her "Why didn't you say anything to him? Poor Aunt Ava. First Grandma, now her Husband." Bree looks at her Cousin, and quips "Poor Aunt Ava my ass. She's likely enjoying the fact she's his Wife right now. He's a real bastard. Like Dad says, the sooner the better." Andy heads to his room, as he shakes his head in disbelief." Meanwhile at The Farm, Frank sits in his living room, as he pulls out his scrapbook, and looks at pictures of Ruth, and Frank gets emotional, as he cries "Mama, I don't know how I'm going to go on without you, but we will make it." Frank closes the scrapbook, and puts it back in the nightstand, by his chair, as he heads to the bedroom, and calls it a night. At The Sunset Club, Nathan and Rose are in his suite, as they have sex, and the door opens, as Andre walks inside, and walks back out quietly, as he bumps into Sayyid, and Andre yells "Watch where the hell you're at!" Sayyid tells Andre "I know where I am Andre Parks." Sayyid walks off, as Andre silently watches Sayyid. In Lynn's Suite, Lynn tells Clair "I'm going to visit with my Mama for a moment, I'll be back shortly." Clair nods, as Lynn puts on his clothes to leave, and walks out. Clair sits in the bed, as the door opens, and someone walks inside, and Clair yells "Who the hell are you? Did you see the sign on the doorknob?" The person's quiet, as they pull out a knife, and Clair jumps out of bed, as she tries to escape, and the person stabs Clair in the chest, and coldly tells her "You have sinned, and you reap what you sow whore." The person walks out, as Clair lays on the ground, and pulls out The Exposer, and draws a line through Clair's face, as they head off.

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 232. Honoring The Queen: Part 2

At The Jackson Burial Plot, at Hell Hill, Summer walks down the aisle, as Rachel runs behind her. The entire crowd looks on, as Ava instantly hands Gracie and Xavier Jr to Sully, and Xavier, Aretha, Tenny, Olivia, Davis, Mary, and Nathan stand up, as rage and anger shows in Ava's, as she charges towards Summer and Rachel shrieking in anger "No hell you just didn't try to crash my Mama's Funeral you whores!" Ava grabs Rachel by the hair, and begins to slap her in the face, and Summer pushes Ava away, but Ava comes back with a powerful swing to Summer's face, and she almost falls, but catches herself, and a fight begins between Summer and Ava, as Aretha glares at Rachel, and Xavier looks at Sayyid, and they head after the camera crew, with anger in their eyes, as Frank and Cale follow behind them, as well as Allan. Meanwhile Tenny looks at Rachel, as she looks at everyone, and warns them "If you dare try, I'll destroy all of you!" Precious attacks Rachel, as Tenny calls him off, and picks Rachel up by the shirt, and angrily snarls "Bitch you don't want to try me. Don't underestimate me!" As Maria and Bree break up Ava's fight with Summer, and Ciarra, Leigh, Sully, Olivia, and Rose stand behind Tenny, as Rachel laughs "It's your family that's about to have it's reputation destroyed. Are you sure you want me to press charges?" Aretha pulls Rachel from Tenny, and delivers a punch in the face, as she angrily yells "The damn nerve of you bitch!" Aretha takes her hits at Rachel, pinning her to the ground, as she punches Rachel, and Willie and Rashad walks over and Willie yells at her Daughter "Stop it Aretha!" Rashad pulls his Mother off of Rachel, as Aretha yells at Rachel "You are one sick bitch! You know that Rachel!" One sick ass bitch!" Meanwhile, Ava is pulled away from Summer and Floyd and Maria sits with Ava, as she shakes with fury, and she turns her head and sees Rachel, and Ava walks up, and slowly approaches Rachel, as Bree takes Summer away from the Burial Plot, and sternly tells her Sister "You're not about to ruin our Grandmother's Funeral Summer!" Summer tells her Sister "Rachel put me up to it." Bree angrily escorts Summer from the grounds, as Ava stands in front of Rachel, as Aretha and Tenny grab her, and coldly tells Rachel "This is it Rachel. You won't get away from me now. Nobody crashes my Mama's Funeral." Ava pulls out her Pistol, and aims at Rachel, as Xavier angrily tells the director of the cameramen "Don't worry about the cameras, I'll write a check to your boss with one hell of a recommendation." Meanwhile Sayyid, Frank, Cale, and Allan takes control of the cameras, and destroys them. The cameraman takes Xavier's offer, as he yells at his crew "Get the hell outta here!" The cameramen heads to their vans, as Xavier walks back towards the pulpit, and sees Ava, and Rachel, and pulls out his Colt 45 and shoots.
Meanwhile at Jackson Inc, Winston looks at his Grandson, as Jared has his pistol aimed at his Grandfather, and angrily tells him "You won't come down here and take a damn thing from Xavier you bastard." Winston tells his Grandson "You truly are a failure Jared. I should have never looked for you. Should have left you with that psycho bitch you call Mother." Country walks towards Winston, and tells him "You need to get the hell out of this building now Winston. Don't push it." Winston looks at Country, and tells him "You wouldn't hurt me Country. We're friends." Country tells Winston "And that was before you stabbed Xavier and his family in the back. Now let's do this the easy way, or the hard away?" As Country pulls out a pistol, and Winston looks at Country, and Jared, and tells both of them "Neither of you will shoot me. Both of you are weak ass peasants!" Winston stands in front of them, and taunts "Come on. I'm not scared of you!" Jared, and Country has their pistols aimed at Winston, and Winston's eyes begin to twitch.
In Blue Ridge, Beth sits on the porch of Tenny and J.D.'s Mansion, on The Sullivan Estate, as Bobby walks up, and tells Beth "It's raining out here Beth." Beth asks Bobby in a despondent tone "How did you find me?" Bobby tells her "I took a guess, since this is your hometown." Beth looks at Bobby, and tells him "You're smart." Bobby asks Beth "Why are you here Beth? You really need to be back in Adam's Landing. You're the one in charge of Ruth's Estate. You make the final decisions on her assets." Beth sighs "Bobby, I didn't choose to be the executor.Right now, I'm too lost to be making choices." Bobby walks over, and touches Beth's shoulder, and assures her "Nobody holds anything against you back home. Everybody's having a hard time accepting Ruth's passing." Beth tells him "But they didn't find her. I found her dead and I couldn't save her. It wasn't her time to go!" Beth begins to get upset, and tells Bobby "I always vowed to keep my personal feelings out of the medical field, but I'm having a hard time with that. 46 years as a Doctor, and all this time to realize how much good I am to people. I couldn't save Ruth, how can I walk back in the Hospital  with a lab coat on, and take care of people. I can't take care of anyone right now." Bobby walks over, and holds Beth tightly in his arms, as he kisses her forehead, and gently tells her "It's ok. You are safe." Beth is silent, as Bobby holds her gently, and Beth tells him "I resigned from City Hospital." Bobby is stunned, and asks Beth "What? You own part of it, and in charge as CEO." Beth tells him with defeat in her voice "It's time for something new. I'm taking some time to myself, to get myself together." Bobby tells Beth "I won't leave your side. I promise you." Beth and Bobby looks at each other, as Bobby touches Beth's face, and gently kisses her.
Meanwhile at Hell Hill, Everyone at Ruth's Funeral stare at Xavier, as he's has shot up, and a haze has come over the Burial Ground, as a voice is heard from the haze, and says with disappointment "Look at this. I can't rest." Ruth's spirit walks out of the haze, and everyone sees her, as Ava is speechless, as Frank breaks down and cries, as does Bree, Xavier, Willie, and everyone as Ruth tells everyone "On a day all of you need to be together, you're not. This breaks my heart." Ava is speechless, as she lets Rachel go, and Rachel runs out in a frantic state." Frank and Bree cries to Ruth "We're so sorry." Ruth looks at them, and everyone else, and tells them "It's just emotions. And all of you have to take care of each other, to move ahead." Ava looks at her Mother and asks her "Are you alive Mama?" Ruth responds "I'm always alive. As long as I'm remembered. And Sully will do a fine job with Little Ruthie." Sully holds her stomach, as she cries, and Leigh holds her Daughter, as both have started to cry. Mary sees her Sister, and says to herself "It's actually true." Tenny, Floyd, Ciarra, Maria, and Rudy all look on with shock in their eyes, as does Willie, Aretha, Rashad, and Sayyid, and Willie tells Aretha "Yall have woke the dead. Oh lord!" Willie faints, and Aretha catches her Mother, and brings her back, as Willie looks around in awe. Cale, Allison, Allan, Olivia, Davis, Nathan, and Rose, all are stunned, as none of them say a word. Ruth tells them "I have to go now. Mourn me. And move forward, as a family." Ruth disappears, along with the haze, as Andy tells everyone, as he stutters "I'm truly at a loss of words."
At Jackson Inc, Winston looks at Jared, and Country, who are both aiming at him, and Winston taunts them, as he says "Both of you are cowards. Trash." Jared screams "Screw you! I hate you with everything I have in me! Country keeps his aim on Winston, as Winston's eyes twitch again, and he loses his balance, and begins to shake, as he falls to the floor." Jared and Country walks over as Country tells Jared "Seizure." Jared looks at Country, and asks him "Do I save him, or let him die?" Country reminds Jared "Ava's his Power Of Attorney in case he is rendered incompetent." Jared tells his Grandfather "I think I'll let Ava make the choice for me. I'll send you to the hospital, and from there, it's up to Ava, and it's really going to be close old man!"  Winston can't speak, and he lays on the floor, as he shakes. Jared calls 911, as Country looks on and Jared hangs up, and tells them "They're on the way. It'll be a short while before Ava will be able to come to the hospital. She's at her Mama's Funeral right now, and a Jackson Funeral is never boring." Country responds "Ain't that the truth.", as they look at Winston, as Country heads downstairs to meet the paramedics, as Jared stays in his office, with his Grandfather.
In Blue Ridge, Beth and Bobby sits in the living room, as Bobby has set a fire, and Beth sits on the couch, and Bobby sits next to her, and holds her, and Beth tells Bobby "This place has always been a place I could find peace. Floyd really did outstanding work on the restoration after it nearly got destroyed." Bobby tells Beth "Floyd's one of the best architects in the world. He's built quite a few of Adam's Landing's landmarks." Beth tells him "I know he built the present City Hospital." Bobby adds "He also built the headquarters of Jackson Inc, and The Sunset Club." Beth tells Bobby "That doesn't surprise me. He was always a workaholic." Bobby laughs, as does Beth, and Beth tells Bobby "Shouldn't you be home taking care of the estate?" Bobby tells Beth "I need you to go with me if I do. You have to help me." Beth tells him "I don't think I can." Bobby assures her "I won't let you out of my sight. And I know nobody else will either. Everyone knows you're having a hard time." Beth tells Bobby "I know they do." Bobby gently asks her "Then why don't you let Xavier, and Sully, and Tenny be there for you then? You need them, and they need you. You are needed and wanted at home Beth." Beth looks at Bobby, and Bobby tells Beth "We don't have to leave tonight Beth. We can leave tomorrow. It's nasty outside anyway." Beth kisses Bobby, and tells him "You don't know how much it means to me that you are here." Beth holds Bobby, as they watch the fire.
Back at Hell Hill, Ruth's Funeral is almost over, as Andy looks at Tenny, and she walks up to the pulpit, and tells everyone "I am Beth's Mama, and I know many of you are wondering where Beth is, and why she isn't here, and I am supposed to read this letter she wrote me, but these words are so sad, and Beth will heal, but it will take time." Tenny looks at everyone and walks back to her seat, and Andy concludes the Funeral, as Andy tells everyone "Once Bobby and Beth returns, we'll do a dedication, when the urns are given out." Everyone prays, as Ruth's funeral is concluded, and Xavier hugs Leigh, Sully, and Gracie and Xavier Jr, as everyone embraces each other. Ava is overcome, and Tenny, Ciarra, Aretha, and Willie are by her side, as she breaks down in tears "My Mama's really gone. My Mommy." Frank cries as Cale and Allison comfort him. Floyd is quiet, as Maria holds her Father, and Rudy stands by him. Bree stands next to Mary, and both of them are in tears, and holds each other, as Nathan holds Rose, and Allan and Davis holds Olivia. As Frank and Ava both mourn their Mother's death, Sayyid walks over to Xavier, as Rashad heads over with Aretha, as she comforts Ava, and Tenny, Ciarra, and Willie all stand by and support Ava as well." Frank walks over to Xavier, as he tells his Brother "I'm sorry Xavier." Xavier hugs Frank, as an outpouring of love is shown between everyone at Ruth's Funeral. Meanwhile, Ruth returns to heaven, and B.R. waits for her, and B.R. asks Ruth "So how did everything go?" Ruth hugs B.R., and tells him "They will be fine." B.R. and Ruth disappear into the clouds."

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 231. Honoring The Queen: Part 1

It's the next morning in Adam's Landing and at Hell Hill, The Farm, Whispering Hills, and Bree's Mansion, The Jackson Family prepares to say goodbye for the final time to Ruth Jackson, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Friend, and Hero. At Hell Hill, Xavier walks to the family burial plot, where the seats are laid out, as Ruth's headstone is up, and Frank walks up to Xavier and tells him "Today's going to be the hardest day I've ever had to go through. It feels like a nightmare." Xavier tells his Brother "I wish it was a nightmare, but it's real." Cale and Allison arrives with Ruth's floral arrangements, and Xavier hugs his Nephew, and Cousin, and tells them and Frank "Those were Grandma's favorites." Cale looks at Xavier, and tells him "Allison, Dad, and I stayed up all night finishing these arrangements." Xavier tells them "All of you did a great job." Xavier heads back to the house, as Frank looks at his Mother's headstone, and tells his Son and Daughter In Law "Today will be hard." Cale puts his arm around his Father, and tells him "I know. But we will make it Dad." Frank looks at Cale, and walks over to his Mother's headstone, and sets a wreath of White Roses on Ruth's Headstone and Cale and Allison sets a wreath of Yellow, and Red Roses underneath.
Across the road at Whispering Hills, Ava stands in the living room, as she has finished getting dressed, and takes a drink from the liquor bottle, as she looks at her Mother's photo, and a tear begins to fall from her eye, and Ava tells herself  "No tears. None." Maria walks inside, and asks her Cousin "How are you Ava?" Ava turns around, and tells Maria "I'm getting sick of people asking me that Maria. I'm not alright. I'm not ok. And I never will be ok again. My Mama's gone!" Ava hears the door open, and turns around, as Rudy walks inside, and tells his Cousin "This place is a showplace!" Ava looks at Rudy, and tells him "It's been years since we've seen each other!" Rudy hugs Ava, and tells her "I never thought Aunt Ruth would die. She always seemed immortal." Ava tells Rudy, and Maria "Mama was, and now she is. She always told me that if people ever forget you, then that's the moment you're truly gone." Rudy tells Ava "Aunt Ruth was very wise. She had to be to deal with everything she had to deal with regarding Uncle Brock, and Jamie, and Junior." Ava tells Rudy "Mama and Daddy made peace in his last years, and Jamie and Junior are dead now. It's just me and Frank." Rudy asks "So I hear Beth's living at Hell Hill now? I heard she married Uncle Brock." Ava nods, and warns her Cousin "Don't even start on her. Beth and Mama were very close, and she's having the hardest time with Mama's death." In Blue Ridge, Beth stands by her Father, and Uncle's graves at The Sullivan Estate, and somberly says "I know I should be back in Adam's Landing, but I can't do it."
At The Evans Home, Willie, Aretha, and Rashad are dressed, as they prepare to head to Hell Hill, and Sayyid sits in the living room, as he's silent and Willie asks her Brother "You have been quiet since last night. Are you upset about Keith leaving town?" Sayyid tells his Sister "In a way, but something else is on my mind." Sayyid looks at Rashad, and asks "Are you friends with Andre Parks?" Rashad tells his Great-Uncle "I don't know him. I stay away from the social circles in town." Aretha and Willie asks Sayyid "Why are you interested in Andre Parks?" Sayyid tells them "I feel a connection between us. Maybe it's because he's from L.A., or that he's a misguided young-blood in need of guidance." Aretha looks at her Uncle, and she has a look of suspicion on her face, and Willie looks at her Daughter, as does Sayyid, as he asks his Niece "You have connections. Can you find out his history for me?" Aretha tells her Uncle "I will do some snooping around, but why are you so interested in him Uncle Clem?" Willie wonders the same thing, and Sayyid replies "I have a feeling we're connected. How? I don't know. But I want to know." Rashad comes downstairs with Little Sidney, and the Evans heads out for Hell Hill.
Meanwhile at City Hospital, Tenny and Precious walks inside Beth's office, as Terrance sits inside, and asks Tenny "Where is Beth? I have called and called and she hasn't responded." Tenny tells Terrance "She's taking a breather from everything. I need that letter." Terrance asks Tenny "What letter?" Tenny tells Terrance "Beth told me she wrote a letter for Ruth's family and it's in her desk." Terrance opens a drawer and finds two envelopes and Tenny walks over, and Terrance tells her "There's one addressed to me, and one for Ruth's family." Tenny looks at Terrance and tells him "Open your letter first." Terrance opens his letter, and begins to read, and a look of sadness shows on his face, and Tenny asks him "What did she tell you?" Terrance looks at Tenny, and tells her in a scared tone "This isn't like her." Tenny reads Terrance's letter, and says in shock "You're right. She wouldn't give up the medical field over a death. Hold out and see if she can come to her senses once she accepts Ruth's death. She likely wrote this while she was upset." Terrance looks at Tenny, and asks "Where is she?" Tenny looks up for a moment, and takes a deep breath, and tells him "She's in Blue Ridge. I'm not supposed to tell anyone, but I know the two of you are close. Maybe you can get through to her." Terrance warns Tenny "We both know how Beth is. I don't think any of us can get through to her right now." Tenny looks at Terrance and tells him in a tone of regret "She is following my example Terrance. I am to blame for this. For years I called Ruth a horrible Mother, yet I was the horrible Mother. When my family needed me, when J.D. died, I was too damn selfish to be there for them as I should have been, and fled. Beth's doing the same thing and someone will have to talk to her." Terrance tells Tenny "I have to perform a surgery today and I'll miss Ruth's Funeral, and I don't know if I can fly out to Blue Ridge to help her." Tenny looks at Terrance, and tells him "It's not your place. You take care of City Hospital. Once Ruth's Funeral is over, I'm going to Blue Ridge. I refuse to let her go through this by herself." Tenny gets Beth's letter, and Terrance tells Tenny "Give everyone my deepest sympathy. I hope they understand." Tenny assures him "I'm sure they will. However some will be waiting to attack my Daughter, and I won't have that." Tenny and Precious heads out, as Terrance calls Beth one more time, and gets no answer, and he looks up and prays "Please watch over Beth."
At Chantel's, Summer has breakfast, as Rachel arrives and she asks Summer "Why aren't you going to your Grandma's Funeral? You should be there." Summer tells Rachel "I also want to breathe. If I go, I'm as good as dead." Rachel looks at Summer and tells her "I wouldn't let my family stop me from mourning my Grandmother or anyone I loved. I didn't let them stop me from mourning Jack." Summer looks at Rachel, and tells her friend "Dad told me before he left town to stay away from them, and I plan to do just that." Rachel pulls up a seat, and tells Summer "You are going to your Grandma's Funeral today Summer. I'm coming with you. Don't let Ava scare you away from making your peace." Summer asks Rachel "Why are you so hellbent on me going to Hell Hill and risking my life?" Rachel pulls out a contract, and tells Summer "I just returned from L.A. and this would be the perfect time to make a pilot." Summer asks "Pilot?" Rachel exclaims "I talked to UBC (United Broadcasting Company), and they loved my idea. Why write a book, when the cameras can do better. Then the world will see how that corrupt family really works." Summer tells Rachel "I had no intentions for a reality show, and I'm not risking my life for your gain." Rachel smiles, and tells Summer "It's for both of us, you will be set for life, and I will be set for life. Nearly all of Adam's Landing will be there, you should be there too. The crew are already headed for Hell Hill and they're waiting for us." Summer gets up, and tells Rachel "I've already had a few close calls with this pregnancy, and I liked the book idea better." Rachel tells Summer "Books are old, this is the winning idea, if anything happens, then all the proof is there and Xavier, Ava, or anyone can cover it up. You're safe Summer. Trust me." Summer takes a deep breath, and tells Rachel "I'm not doing it!" Rachel asks "What if I said there's a million dollar check with your name on it?" Summer is quiet for a moment, and tells Rachel "Should have told me that to begin with." Summer and Rachel heads to Hell Hill, as Rachel sends a text to someone.
Back at Hell Hill, Mary and Rose arrives, as does Bree and Andy, as Mary hugs Bree, and asks her "Where's my Sister's casket?" Bree tells her Great-Aunt "Grandma's being cremated. She always said she didn't want to be buried." Mary is silent, as Rose looks around and Nathan arrives, and Rose walks over and asks him "I'm surprised you would be here." Nathan tells Rose "It's only appropriate to be a part of Ruth's Funeral." Meanwhile at the Main House, Xavier, Leigh, Frank, Cale, Allison, and Ava sits inside the living room, as Floyd, Ciarra, Maria, and Rudy arrives, and Xavier asks Rudy "Who are you?" Ciarra tells her Great-Nephew "Rudy's Floyd's Son." Xavier welcomes him, and Rudy hugs Frank and tells him "You look a lot like Uncle Brock." Frank tells his Cousin "Don't remind me." Floyd asks Xavier "Where's Beth?" Xavier tells his Uncle "She's not here and I don't know where she is." Frank looks at everyone and says "She couldn't handle things and likely felt guilty, so she bolted." Xavier takes a deep breath, as he tries to keep his temper in check, as Ciarra tells Frank, as does Floyd, Cale, Allison, Leigh, Maria, and Ava "Stop it! Beth is likely mourning in her own way." Frank yells "I don't understand how everyone can go poor Beth. She slept her way through this family, and.." Tenny walks inside, and hears Frank, and slaps him with full force, and snaps "Who's to blame for that Frank? Who's here for you to blame? Beth was more loyal to your family than you have been!" Frank yells at Tenny "Why in the hell are you here Tenny? Shouldn't you be off getting high?" Tenny takes a deep breath, and looks up, and responds "I'm here for Beth. I'm here for Ava, Xavier, Leigh, and Ruth. Whether you like it or not and if it's the latter, I don't really give a damn how you feel, Ruth and I did grow close, so get the hell over it you bastard!" Xavier asks his Grandmother "Where's my Mother?" Ciarra also asks her Sister "Where is Beth Tennessee?" Tenny sighs "In Blue Ridge.." Frank yells "Great! She's fled home. Maybe she'll stay there." Xavier has enough, and delivers a punch into Frank's mouth, and yells "I'm really damn tired of hearing your mouth Frank! You have done nothing but talk about my Mother like she's a piece of shit, and I'm warning you, I won't stand here and listen to it any longer!" Frank storms out, as Cale and Allison tells everyone "He's mourning too. He's lashing out." Ava yells "He can lash out all he wants, but it isn't going to bring Mama back is it? She's dead. She's dead. It's nobody's fault and he needs to pull himself together." Cale and Allison tells Ava "You don't understand.." Ava looks at Cale and Allison and gets angry, as she asks "Understand what? I've lost my Son, and my Mama! I've also lost my sanity and been violated, and you tell me I don't understand? No Cale. No Allison. None of you understand, and nor does Frank! Xavier tells his Nephew and Cousin "Go out there and be with Frank. It's almost time for the Funeral to start." Cale and Allison heads out, as does Floyd, Ciarra, Maria, and Rudy, as Tenny tells her Grandson "I'm going to Blue Ridge as soon as the Funeral's over to be with your Mother." Xavier tells his Grandmother "I'm going with you." Tenny tells Xavier "I think it's best if you stay here. Guard your company." Xavier and Leigh asks Tenny "What do you mean by that?" Tenny fills them in on Winston's visit at Sully and Jared's, and Xavier vows "He wouldn't dare try." Sully walks inside, and tells her family "Jared's at Jackson Inc." Everyone heads for the Jackson Family Burial Plot, as Xavier sends a text to Country, and tells him "Go down to Jackson Inc in case Winston tries to pull something."
Meanwhile outside, Willie, Aretha, Rashad, Little Sidney, and Sayyid arrives and they take their seats, as does Mary, and Rose. Bree sits next to Frank, as does Cale and Allison. Allan, Olivia, and Davis arrives, and Davis briefly visits Allison, before taking his seat. Floyd, Ciarra, Maria, Rudy, and Nathan takes their seats, and Xavier, Leigh, Sully, and Tenny takes their seats, as Xavier looks around for a moment, and pulls out his phone and texts Bobby, and asks him "Where are you?" Bobby, in Blue Ridge, responds "I'm going to try and reach out to your Mother." Xavier looks at his Wife, Daughter, and Grandmother, and tells them "Bobby's in Blue Ridge." Ava walks over and sits next to Xavier, as she holds Gracie and Xavier Jr, and Andy takes the pulpit, as he begins to deliver Ruth's Eulogy." Meanwhile Summer and Rachel arrives at the gates, and Rachel yells at the camera crew "Why aren't you inside there?" The cameraman tells her "We were waiting for you." Rachel looks around, and tells Summer "Looks like Country isn't guarding the fort. Let's go." Rachel, Summer, and the cameras walks onto the property." At Jackson Inc, Jared sits inside his office, as Country tells him "Are you sure Winston's going to pull something today?" Jared tells Country "My Grandfather is capable of anything." Winston walks inside, and smiles at Jared, and Country, and tells them "I told you I'd be at the funeral. And here I am." Jared pulls out a pistol, and aims at his Grandfather, and angrily responds "The only funeral here you son of a bitch is yours!" Back at Hell Hill, The Jackson, Sullivan, and Evans families sits as Andy delivers Ruth's eulogy, and Andy notices the cameras, and stops, as everyone gets suspicious, and turns around, as Summer bawls "My Grandma's gone!"

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 230. Hanging On

As night descends on Adam's Landing, at Hell Hill, Xavier walks out of his study, as he tells Leigh "Mother isn't answering her phone." Leigh asks Xavier "Didn't you say she went with Tenny earlier?" Xavier nods, and responds "Mother's having a rough time with Grandma's death. I am beginning to worry." Leigh hugs Xavier, and assures him "Beth wouldn't miss Ruth's Funeral X. She will be here." Xavier looks at Leigh, and tells her "I'd love to believe that, but she's in denial, and she's trying to avoid anything that confirms the reality. I did that as well when I thought you had died." Leigh tells her Husband "Let's go upstairs, and call it a night X. Tomorrow's a huge day." Xavier sighs "It's going to be hard my love. Very hard." Xavier and Leigh heads upstairs, as they call it a night.
Across the road at Whispering Hills, Ava sits in her living room, as she says to herself "I've dreaded this day my entire life." Ava takes a drink from her liquor bottle, as her phone rings, and it's Bree, and Ava doesn't answer the phone. At Bree's Mansion, Bree looks at her Cousin, and tells Andy "Aunt Ava put up a good front, but she isn't handling this well." Andy tells Bree "I don't think anyone is handling this well. Tomorrow's going to be so hard. Delivering an eulogy for the woman who was like a Mom to me." Bree looks at Andy, and asks "Do you ever hear from her?" Andy looks at Bree, and tells her "No. She left the country after Dad took out a bounty. I don't know if she knows he's dead." Bree tells Andy "I'm sure she would know by now." Andy sighs "She may know, but she won't ever return to Adam's Landing again." Bree looks at her Cousin, and tells him "We will all have to be there for each other. It's all we can do. At least for Grandma's sake." Country walks inside meanwhile, and asks his Daughter "How are you holding up?" Bree looks at her Father, and tells Country "The best I can I guess. It's very hard to accept." Andy looks at Country, and asks him "Do you live here too?" Bree tells her Cousin "Dad's a drifter. He stays here or at Hell Hill." Andy rolls his eyes and asks Country "Still doing the family's dirty work?" Country laughs "Yep. But Sayyid Ross is a huge help." Andy asks "Sayyid Ross?" Country nods, and tells Andy "That's right. I have nothing on him. He and X both have ice in their veins." Andy looks at Bree, and Country and tells them "Xavier is very cold. He makes Grandpa look like a saint." Country warns Andy "Don't start changing your tune Andy. I am loyal to X, and he would be disappointed to hear what you said." Bree looks at her Father, and warns him, and Andy "Now's not the time to cast judgement. Aunt Ava killed my Mom, and Xavier killed Junior. It's in the past, where it needs to stay." Andy looks at Bree, and replies "You're right." Country hugs his Daughter, and tells her "I'm heading to my room. Night." Country heads off, as Andy looks at Bree, as she asks him "Shouldn't you rest for tomorrow?" Andy looks at Bree and tells her "I have to finish this first." Bree heads to her bedroom, as Andy works on the eulogy for his Grandmother's funeral.
Meanwhile at Allan and Olivia's Home, Allan walks inside, as Olivia yells "Daddy?" Allan asks "You've never called me Daddy before?" Olivia hugs Allan, and laughs "Daddy's supposed to be here shortly. He's going to be in Adam's Landing for Ruth's Funeral." Allan tells Olivia "I know one person who won't be there." Olivia sighs "Beth." Allan nods, and tells her "Mama told me she went to Blue Ridge. I'm worried about her. She's not herself." Olivia reminds Allan "You know Ruth was like a Mother to her. It's probably hit her pretty hard. She's likely angry at herself and I can certainly understand. It's happened to me many times as a Doctor. We think we can save lives, and then we find out we're mere mortals, and it bruises our egos." Allan pulls out a joint, and sighs "There's more than that. She found her, like Mama found Daddy when he died. Mama came home from work, and found him in the den. My Sister doesn't show her emotions much, and Ruth Jackson's death has really gotten to her." Olivia tells Allan "It's gotten to everyone in town with any conscience. She was beloved in this town." A voice walks through the door, and says "Adam's Landing will never be the same without Ruth." Olivia yells "Daddy!" Allan puts his joint in his pocket, as Davis Lane walks inside and hugs his Daughter, and Allan, and asks Allan "I see the two of you are still in one piece? And your hair is gone?" Allan tells Davis "That's a long story." Olivia asks her Father "How was your flight?" Davis tells his Daughter "It was well, but it's just sad that I'm here to say goodbye to Ruth. She really meant a lot to Adam's Landing. She pushed down many barriers." Olivia laughs "I remember  you telling me years ago, at Lane's  when that racist started yelling at Willie, and Ruth attacked him." Davis holds his Daughter and laughs "Nobody crossed Ruth, and if you did, you regretted it." Olivia laughs "She and Willie were very close. Terrance told me she wasn't handling this well." Davis responds "I imagine she isn't. Those two were like sisters and whenever Ruth needed Willie or vice versa, you best stay out of the way." Davis changes subjects and asks his Daughter "So I hear Desi and Rachel are back in town?" Olivia takes a deep breath and quips "Unfortunately. I just hope they don't know you're here." Davis assures Olivia "I don't talk to her or Rachel. I just worry she'll show up tomorrow at Ruth's Funeral. If she does, Hell Hill will live up to it's name." Olivia and Allan both respond "Xavier's going to have that place secure. She won't be there to make Ruth's funeral into her pity party." Davis sighs "I sure hope so. I'm heading upstairs to settle in and rest." Davis hugs Olivia, as he heads upstairs, and shortly afterwards, Allan and Olivia follow, as they call it a night.
At Sully and Jared's Penthouse, Sully walks out of the bedroom, as she tells her Husband "Our little girl's fiesty tonight." Jared tells Sully "There's some pizza in the kitchen from earlier." Sully heads to the kitchen, as there's a knock at the door, and Jared answers and yells "What in the hell are you doing here?" Winston walks inside, and asks his Grandson "I smelled pot. Is Sully getting high in here? Or is it that bat across the hall?" Sully walks into the living room, and yells at Winston "Get out of this house before you regret it you bastard!" Winston looks at Sully, and quips "You should lay off the pizzas, you're getting fat." Sully gets angry and screams "Who in the hell are you calling fat! I am pregnant and.." Winston quips "Carrying my Great-Grandchild. How I hope he or she follows my shining example." Jared points at the door, and angrily tells his Grandfather "You get your ass out of here and don't come back. You aren't welcome here." Winston looks at his Grandson and sighs "Oh how I wish you would live up to your last name. Such a shame you have it. I should have left you with that crazy ass bitch you call Mom." Jared snaps "If you don't leave, I will call the ALPD!" Winston laughs "So Xavier hasn't hired you an enforcer? You really are weak." Sully warns Winston "If you don't leave, I'll call Daddy." Winston looks at Sully, and tells her "Your Father doesn't scare me. But he should be scared of me." The door opens, as Winston feels a bite, and kicks Precious, as Tenny asks Winston "You must have a death wish?" Winston yells "I'll kill that mangy ass dog Tenny! And I'm here to talk my Grandson into showing loyalty to his name, so go back across the hall, and smoke your brains out you demented old bitch." Jared gets his phone out, as Sully gets angry, and Tenny tells her Great-Granddaughter "Go to sleep sweetie. I'll handle Winston. I don't want you to stress over this." Tenny tells Jared "Put the phone down and take care of Sully." Jared is uncertain, and Tenny pulls out her pistol, and quips "I've gotten my aim down. No need for police." Winston warns Tenny "You don't want to test me. I already got enough to destroy Jim's, Foodstar, and..." Tenny slaps Winston and asks him "Would you like to tell Sully about what you told Ava? Floyd told me you tried to convince her to kill herself." Winston denies it, as Sully walks inside, and slaps Winston forcefully, and yells "Leave my Aunt alone! And get out of here! NOW!!!" Winston laughs "Oh none of you know what's coming. It's better that way. Give Xavier my condolences, not for Ruth, but for Jackson Inc." Winston limps out, as Precious growls and snarls, and Sully shrieks "God! That old man really pisses me off!" Tenny assures Sully and Jared "He only blowing smoke. That man's one sick bastard." Sully and Jared agree, and Sully changes subjects, and asks her Great-Grandmother "So where's Grandma? Daddy and Mom are getting worried." Tenny tells Sully "She left town.  I was sworn to secrecy." Sully looks at her Great-Grandmother and warns her "She's in charge of Grandma Ruth's estate Gran." Tenny looks at Sully, and tells her "Beth's not able to be in charge right now and I will be at the Funeral tomorrow for my sweet Beth. I'm heading across the hall now. Get some rest." Tenny and Precious walks out, and Sully yells "I know where Grandma is. She's in Blue Ridge." Tenny looks at Sully, and responds "Don't tell your Father or any of Ruth's kinfolk like Frank." Tenny and Precious leaves, and Sully looks at her Husband, and tells him "Grandma needs to be here." Jared holds Sully, and tells her "Maybe she will surprise us. Let's go to bed. It's going to be a long day tomorrow. And I have a bad feeling about it." Sully looks at Jared, and kisses him and responds "I hope you're wrong." Jared looks at Sully and tells her "I hope I am too."
At The Sunset Club, Keith and Sayyid has dinner as Nathan walks up to Sayyid and notices Keith, and asks Sayyid "I didn't know you knew Keith Ross?" Sayyid tells Nathan "Keith's my Son. He is somebody else that was screwed over by Clint Feldman." Keith looks at Nathan and tells him "Word on the street is that you now own Nationwide Records." Nathan nods, and tells Keith "I do thanks to J.B.." Keith quips "J.B. Brown's one of the music industry's greatest mysteries." Nathan responds "He will remain a mystery. He's done with music." Sayyid notices Andre standing next to Nathan, and asks him "So who's your friend?" Andre looks at Sayyid and says with awe in his voice "You are my hero Mr.Ross. I've watched your documentary over and over." Sayyid looks at Andre and tells him "I'm proud of what I did for our people. But don't fight unless it's just." Andre is awestruck, as Nathan introduces his friend to Sayyid and Keith and Keith gives Andre a dismissive look as he asks "Andre Parks? I heard your name before." Andre tells Keith "I know you're sleeping with my ex. That singer, Cassandra Fields." Keith laughs "Yeah. And she has a real man now instead of a thug like you." Andre gets angry, as he yells "Who in the hell are you calling a thug?" Sayyid gets up, and looks at his Son, and Andre, and tells both of them "Chill out." Nathan tells Andre "Let's go back to my suite and smoke." Keith yells "Go do that Andre. Hopefully you will become a man someday." Andre glares angrily at Keith, as he follows Nathan, and Sayyid is quiet, as he watches Andre, and asks Keith "So you're moving on I see?" Keith tells his Father "I've found myself a good woman in LA." Sayyid asks Keith "And she's old enough to be your Daughter? I watched the show Son." Keith tells his Father "Age isn't nothing but a number, and Cassandra's my opening act for my tour." Sayyid advises his Son "Don't grow too attached. I'm going home. Tomorrow is Ruth's Funeral and Willie will need all of us." Keith tells his Father "I'm leaving town in the morning. Since everything's done regarding Jazz, I need to get back to work." Sayyid tells Keith "Your Aunt will need you. Family is the most important thing." Keith tells his Father "The most important thing to me is my career. And give my regards to Aunt Willie." Keith heads to his Suite, as Sayyid heads out, and says to himself "He looked very familiar."
Meanwhile at Floyd and Ciarra's Home at Whispering Hills, Floyd, Ciarra, and Maria has dinner, as there's a knock at the door, and Maria answers the door and a man asks Maria "Does Floyd Jackson live here?" Maria nods, and asks the man "And who are you?" The man tells Maria "I'm his Son." Floyd walks into the living room and sees his son, Rudolph (Rudy) Jackson for the first time in over 20 years, and hugs him and asks Rudy "When did you get in town?" Rudy tells his Father "I read about Aunt Ruth's death, and figured it was time to come home." Ciarra walks into the living room, as Floyd introduces Ciarra to his Son, and Rudy tells Ciarra "Take care of my Father. He needs to be kept grounded." Ciarra assures Rudy "He's well taken care of." Maria agrees, as she tells her Brother "I don't think we ever met." Floyd introduces Maria to Rudy, and Rudy hugs Maria, and tells her "Pop wrote me often and told me about you. I'm glad you took care of him." Maria tells him "It was hard work. Pop is a hard man to keep track of." Rudy asks Floyd "So you still avoid technology I see?" Floyd tells his Son "Like the damn plague." Ciarra asks Rudy "So where are you staying since you're in town?" Rudy tells them "I'm staying at the Holiday Motel in town." Floyd tells his Son "You cancel that room and stay here instead. We have a lot to catch up on." Rudy tells his Father "We most certainly do. I read about Clair and Lynn Caswell." Maria rolls her eyes, as does Ciarra, as Floyd asks Rudy "Mary's Son Lynn?" Rudy looks at his Father, and asks "Don't you read The Exposer? They've been one of the top stories. I can imagine Mary's having a hard time with it since Lynn is the head pastor of that church she and Miles built in Unity." Floyd tells his Son "Clair's in town and we don't talk. I haven't even seen Nathan that much." Rudy asks "Nathan?" Floyd tells Rudy "Her Son." Rudy tells everyone "Clair changed after marrying Feldman. He brainwashed her." Maria quips "That explains why she's such a bitch." Floyd tells Maria "Do me a favor and try to keep peace tomorrow at Ruth's Funeral. I don't want no fighting or drama going on." Ciarra tells everyone "I doubt she will even show up." Rudy responds "I don't know my Sister anymore. I don't know what to expect out of her these days." Rudy heads to the door, and Floyd asks his Son "Where are you going?" Rudy tells his Father "Going to check out of my room. I'm staying here while I'm in town." Floyd tells his Son "I'm glad you're here Rudolph." Rudy looks at Maria, and Ciarra, and tells his Father "I am too Pop." Rudy leaves, and Floyd tells Maria and Ciarra "I think I'm calling it a night. I think I need to get as much rest as possible. Tomorrow will be a hard day." Floyd heads to his room, as Ciarra tells Maria "Rudy seems to be hiding something." Maria tells Ciarra "He seems normal to me, but as for Clair, she best hope I don't see her. Pop wants peace, but I can't make any promises." Ciarra sighs "I just hope that tomorrow goes smoothly. I hope Beth comes home soon." Maria looks at Ciarra, and tells her "I think she will. Where is she?" Ciarra looks down, and sighs "I don't know."
At The Farm, Frank, Cale, and Allison works diligently to prepare Ruth's floral arrangements for tomorrow's Funeral, as they work into the midnight hours inside the Greenhouse. At The Evans Home, Sayyid returns, as the house is empty, as Willie, Aretha, and Rashad has retired for the evening, and Sayyid sits on the couch as he continues to think about meeting Andre earlier, and Sayyid says to himself "There's a connection there." At  The Sunset Club, Nathan and Andre sits in his Suite, as they smoke a blunt, and Andre tells Nathan something, which shocks Nathan, and he asks Andre "You're joking right?" Andre pulls out a piece of paper, and tells Nathan "Does this look like a joke?" Nathan says to Andre, with his jaw dropped "Damn." Meanwhile at Tenny's Penthouse, Tenny sits in the living room, and calls Beth, and asks her Daughter "Are you alright sweet girl?" Beth, at The Sullivan Estate in Blue Ridge, tells her Mother "I'm alright Mama. The homeplace is beautiful. Floyd did a wonderful job on the restorations." Tenny tells Beth "I need to come to Blue Ridge soon and visit. Ruth's Funeral is tomorrow, are you coming back for it?" Beth tells her Mother "I can't Mama. I need some time to accept everything." Tenny tells her Daughter in a gentle tone "Take care of yourself my sweet Beth, and I'll go to Ruth's Funeral and explain everything to everyone." Beth tells Tenny "I have a letter written in my office at City Hospital. Read it to everyone for me." Tenny tells her "I will do that. Mama loves you." Beth tells her Mother "I love you too and watch after my family." Tenny tells Beth "I will." Tenny hangs up the phone, as she says to herself "Poor Beth. Nobody needs to give her grief tomorrow." Tenny looks at Precious, and tells him "You might need to do what you did earlier." Meanwhile in Blue Ridge, Beth sits in the living room of Tenny and J.D.'s mansion, and cries uncontrollably, as she mourns Ruth, and she says somberly "How can I take care of everyone when I couldn't save Ruth. How?"

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 229. Saying Goodbye: Part 2

At Whispering Hills, three shots are fired in the air, as plaster falls from the celing, as Ava falls to the ground and Floyd turns to Winston, and angrily tells him "Get the hell out of here." Winston snaps back "Ava and I are married!" Ava snaps at Winston "If you want to breathe you bastard, leave me the hell alone!" Winston heads for the door, and reminds Ava "We are still married." Ava yells "Not for long." Winston heads out, and Floyd walks over to his niece, and gently tells her "Ava we need to meet with Bobby. Your Mama wouldn't want you to be doing this." Ava looks at her Uncle and asks "Doing what? I miss her. I want to be alone. Get used to the feeling." Floyd gets emotional, and puts his arm around Ava, as she sits on the floor, and assures her "You have your family Ava. And Tenny and Ciarra. Aretha, Willie, and Ruth told me awhile back that when this day comes, we have to pull together." Ava looks at her Uncle, as he holds her, and Floyd tells Ava "Let's head over to Jackson Inc and hear what Bobby has to tell us. We have to be there. Ruth has a clause in her will." Ava sighs "I need some air anyway." Floyd and Ava walks out, as they head down to Jackson Inc.
At Jackson Inc, Bobby looks at Xavier, Beth, Frank, Cale, Bree, Allison, and Tenny, and tells them "Floyd should have been here. I'm starting to grow some concern for Ava. Ruth said she would be the one who would have the hardest time with her passing." Xavier and Frank both tells Bobby "Ava's likely to not show up." Tenny hangs up her phone, and tells Bobby "Ciarra said Floyd went to check on Ava and there were gunshots." Everyone shakes, as they grow scared, and Bree tells her family "I really hope Aunt Ava didn't do what I think." Frank tells his Niece "Ava wouldn't do that. She may, but I doubt it." Beth meanwhile is silent, as she looks at Bobby and says "Let's just get this over with. If we are going to sit around, I'd just as soon be home." Xavier looks at his Mother, and reminds her "Grandma has made it clear that you are the one she wants to watch after her family." Beth yells at everyone "I can't! I just can't do it!" Tenny looks at Beth, and asks her Daughter "Want Mommy to take you home?" Beth nods, and Bobby reminds Beth "Ruth made it clear you were supposed to be here Beth." Tenny looks at Bobby, and everyone and tells them "Cut my Daughter some slack. She's having a hard time, and she hasn't accepted this yet!" Xavier tells his Mother "Pull yourself together. I mean it Mother!" Tenny snaps "I'm taking Beth with me and if any of you holds it against her, then I will kick your ass! She's already been through enough." Tenny walks over and whispers to her Daughter "Let's go to my Penthouse." Beth, Tenny, and Precious heads out, and Bobby looks up, with frustration in his eyes, as he vents "Ruth wouldn't like how this is turning out." Xavier tells him "Mother's really kicking herself over this. I have never seen her this way before." Frank agrees, as Bree tells them "Aunt Beth's the one I'm worried about. Especially with Tenny." Frank tells Bree "When J.D. died, Tenny left town, she will likely tell Beth to do the same thing. Anything to stick it to the family.." Xavier yells "Enough!" Xavier tells Bobby "Let's just get this started and I'll tell Mother her part when I get home!" Ava and Floyd walks inside, and Bobby begins to read Ruth's will.
Meanwhile at Jazz, Allan arrives, as Keith and Sayyid sits in the bar, and Allan motions for them to walk into his office. Keith asks Allan "I thought we were meeting at City Hospital?" Allan tells him "It'd be easier to do this here." Keith pulls out some forms and tells Allan "Here's my deed, and Jermaine's to Jazz. I'm going to work on my career, and Jermaine is too distracted to focus on Jazz." Sayyid is silent, as Allan asks Keith "Are you sure you want to sell? Nothing better than extra income." Keith looks at Allan, and tells him "I got my catalog and masters. I want to focus on my music career and I've got a tour that's about to start very soon." Allan tells Keith and Sayyid "Since Rich was killed, I think I'm done with the music industry. I am content to run Jazz and help Nathan with Nationwide Records and be around for my family. Ms.Jackson's death is affecting Beth and I've never seen her like this before." Sayyid tells Allan "Ruth's death has affected everyone in town. Like Aretha wrote in her paper, she was the Queen of Adam's Landing." Allan tells them "I never knew Ruth like Beth did, but she always watched after my Big Sis. And I think sometimes my Mama is jealous over it." Keith and Sayyid both roll their eyes, as Sayyid laughs "Tenny Sullivan still has her fire." Allan laughs "Mama lives in her own world. After my Daddy died, it changed her. I remember when I was a kid, and my Grandma and Grandpa Martin was killed in that car accident, Mama held her emotions in. Beth takes after Mama. And Ms.Jackson's passing is her test." Keith and Sayyid both assure Allan "Beth is one strong woman. She will pull through." Allan sighs "I hope so."
At The Exposer, Aretha sits in her office, as she looks at the hits on The Exposer's page, and she receives a message from her Secretary, and tells her "Reverend Caswell is here." Aretha responds "Let him in." Lynn and Clair storms inside Aretha's office, as both of them yell "What in the hell are you trying to do?" Aretha sits back, and quips "Sell subscriptions and expose hypocrites." Lynn yells "Bitch, you are playing with fire! I am a Reverend.." Aretha looks up, and responds "Oh? Reverends don't sleep around and disgrace their church like you have." Clair snaps "You are still a smart-ass after all these years." Aretha looks at Clair and tells her "And you are still a bitch I see." Aretha looks at Lynn and asks him "Since you are here, clarify why Rose has the last name "McClain", instead of Caswell. She's Mary's Granddaughter, your Daughter. I see no marriage certificates to anyone named McClain." Lynn responds in a tone of disdain "Rose isn't worthy of my last name, and she's going to hell for being who she is, a conniving, sinful, brat who sleeps with Women, and taking advantage of my poor Mama!" Aretha laughs "Well Reverend, I guess you will be in hell too. You could fool a fool, but I'm not scared of you, but you should be scared of me!" Lynn and Clair yells at Aretha "Stop writing about our private lives. You are destroying our reputations!" Aretha asks "Got money? Lynn? Clair....wait I think you are broke. Lynn, wanna donate some money you have stolen from your church to keep me quiet?" Lynn snarls "I have never stolen any money from Caney Head Chapel!" Aretha gets up, and asks, as she shows Lynn a piece of paper "Really? Someone sent this to me. I think you need to pray, and get out of my office!" Lynn warns Aretha "If you hurt my Mama, I will live to see you regret it! My Aunt has died and you are causing my family pain." Clair nods, and Aretha looks at Lynn, and tells him "You are the one causing pain, and I have work to do!" Lynn and Clair storm out, as Aretha shakes her head, and says to herself 'Poor Mary. How did she end up with that for a Son."
At Hell Hill, Leigh, Sully, Jared, and Country sits in the living room, as Ciarra and Maria walks inside and asks Leigh "Have any of you heard anything yet?" Leigh looks at Ciarra and tells her "X just sent me a text and told me Beth and Tenny left Jackson Inc. Beth's really taking Ruth's death hard." Ciarra sits down, and tells Leigh, Sully, Jared, and Country "I can imagine she is. Ruth and Beth were very close." Sully tells her Great-Aunt "Grandma's not herself. When I saw her this morning, she looked disheveled. I am worried about her." Maria tells everyone "I'm heading up to visit Gracie and Xavier Jr." Maria heads upstairs, as Leigh gets a text from Xavier, and tells everyone "It's about to get very interesting now." Sully, Ciarra, Jared, and Country are curious as Ciarra asks Leigh "What did Xavier tell you?" Leigh tells everyone, and Sully looks at everyone and says adamantly "Grandma needs to pull herself together for all of this. And I really hope this doesn't get ugly/" Country tells everyone "I am shocked. Ms.Ruth's about to challenge everyone." Leigh sighs,as she reads Xavier's text "I have a feeling someone won't be very happy with Ruth's choice." Ciarra, Sully, Jared, and Country all responds "Frank."
At Jackson Inc, Bobby has finished reading the will, and The Jackson Family are stunned, as Frank tells Bobby "Why didn't my Mama put me over her estate?" Bobby tells him "She felt that you had enough going on." Bree, Ava, and Floyd all tells Frank "We have no problems with the will." Xavier also sides with Bree, Ava, and Floyd, as Cale and Allison sides with Frank, as Frank tells them "Beth slept with my Daddy, and now Mama's giving everything to her? I don't agree." Xavier warns his Brother "Don't start. Now's not the time!" Frank yells "Mama wouldn't put Beth in charge of things." Frank asks Bobby "Did Beth pay you to do this?" Cale and Allison turns to Frank, as does Xavier, Ava, Bree, and Floyd, as all of them tells Frank "This was what she wanted so respect it!" Bobby looks at Frank, and tells him "Beth didn't know about this. Ruth was very quiet about having this will drawn up." Frank yells "We seen her earlier and she can't handle this! What in the hell was Mama thinking? Putting Beth in charge of her estate? The woman who slept with her Husband, had a child, then married him?" Xavier gets angry and yells at Frank "I was that child Frank! And don't even tempt me to explain who's at fault for that." Xavier glares at Frank, as he yells "Since this is over, I'm going home!" Bobby stops Frank, and tells him "Now we have to discuss the arrangements. So sit back down!" Frank yells at Bobby "Mama should have split the will between her family!" Ava looks at her Brother, and slaps him forcefully and yells "Now's not the time to think about yourself! If Mama was here she would tear into you." Xavier yells "Let him leave. If he doesn't want to be a team player, then let him go pout somewhere." Bobby yells at everyone "All of you has a part in this, and Ruth wanted everyone to be together as one! Now stop this childish shit and sit the hell down so we can finish this!" Frank sits back down, with frustration on his face, as Bobby reads Ruth's funeral arrangements, and tells everyone "All of you has to work together. If not, then all of you can only blame yourselves for not honoring Ruth's wishes. Now's the time to come together, not break apart."
Meanwhile at Tenny's Penthouse, Beth sits on the couch, as Tenny walks into the living room with Precious, as Tenny asks her Daughter "Are you sure you want to do this?" Beth tells her Mother "I'm not a Matriarch Mama. I have made my choice and I have to do it." Tenny sits down, and advises her "Don't do what I did Beth. I was very selfish when I left Blue Ridge and stayed away all those years. I lost a lot. I was scared and frightened to live without J.D. and when he died, all my emotions came out." Beth looks at her Mother, and responds "I remember when Grandma and Grandpa died, Aunt Ciarra was devastated, but you just held things together." Tenny sighs "An act Beth. I was floored and it hit me hard, but I held it in, took it out at work and business, and kept my emotions inside. Doing that will eventually break you. Beth, you hold a lot in, and it's seeping out." Beth cries "Mama I don't think I can handle this!" Tenny asks her Daughter "So you really want to bolt?" Beth nods, and Tenny asks her "Where are you going?" Beth sighs "I don't know yet. I think I'm going back to Blue Ridge. But don't tell anybody where I am. I need some time to myself." Tenny puts her arm around Beth, and tells her "I'm going with you. You don't need to be alone." Beth looks at Tenny, and pleads "I just want to wrap my mind around all of this. Figure out what I'm doing next." Tenny sighs, and hugs her Daughter, and tells her "Tell your Daddy hello for me." Beth nods, as she hugs her Mother and asks her "Please don't tell Xavier or the family where I am. Only you know where I'm going." Tenny reminds Beth "Xavier will find out eventually. You know he will." Beth rolls her eyes, and responds "Just tell him that I need some time to me." Tenny looks at Beth, and warns her "I will try, but I can't make any promises." Beth tells her Mother "Trying is better than nothing." Tenny shakes her head, as Beth hugs her Mother, and tells her "My flight leaves shortly. I have to go." Tenny hugs her Daughter, and tells her "You call me. At any time my sweet girl. I'll keep my eye on things here." Beth thanks her Mother, as she heads out, and Tenny looks up and says "Watch over her. She's having a hard time."
At The Sunset Club, Lynn and Clair walks into the lobby, as Mary sits at a table, with Willie, and Lynn walks up to his Mother, and glares at Willie and angrily yells "You need to get your Daughter in check!" Willie snaps at Lynn "She's already in check. More than I can say to you." Mary looks down, as she is emotional, and Lynn asks his Mother "Are you ok?" Mary is silent, as she doesn't look at her Son, and Willie yells at Lynn and Clair "Leave her alone!" Clair looks at Willie and tells her "You have no room to be giving orders." Willie looks at Clair, and asks "Does Floyd know? Because he will and when he does, he's going to be very angry." Clair snarks "The last person I worry about is him." Clair grabs Lynn's hand, as she tells him "Let's go upstairs and relax." Lynn follows Clair, as Mary cries, and tells Willie "He really broke my heart. Where did I go wrong?" Willie looks at Mary, and tells her "You did nothing wrong." Mary looks at Willie, and tells her "Ruth's gone, and my home. And the more I read about Lynn, the more my heart breaks." Willie hugs Mary, and assures her "You have two wonderful Daughters and Miles. Our children will hurt us sometimes, but then we heal." Mary looks at Willie, and tells her "Miles and I saved Caney Head Chapel, and Lynn is destroying our legacy." Willie stops her, and sternly says "He's ruining his name. Not yours. Anyone who knows you or Miles knows what the two of you are about, and you're not at fault." Mary looks at Willie, as her phone rings, and she answers it and Mary answers "Really? But.." Mary gets emotional, as she hangs up and looks at Willie and asks her "Miles' medication was destroyed in the fire. Hazel just told me that his memory is coming back. It's a miracle!" Willie asks Mary "Doesn't he have Alzheimer's?" Mary nods, and Willie has a suspicious look, as she has a thought and asks Mary "Who is Miles' Doctor?" Mary responds "My Daughter In Law. Lynn's Wife." Willie rolls her eyes, as Mary asks her friend "Why do you have that look on your face?" Willie asks Mary "Something doesn't add up."
Meanwhile Ruth's will reading has finished, and at Hell Hill, Xavier walks inside, as does Floyd, as Leigh, Sully, Jared, Ciarra, and Country are inside and Xavier and Floyd tells them of Ruth's arrangements. At Whispering Hills, Ava returns as she sits on the couch and tells herself "Pull yourself together."    In The Exposer, the cover of the website reads in bold print "Ruth Love Jackson 1930-2013. Forever the Queen of Adam's Landing." Aretha sits back in her office, as she has a flashback to her childhood, and looks at Ruth's picture and somberly says "You were the strongest lady I knew besides Mama. It won't be the same." At Whispering Hills, Ava sits in her living room, as she continues to drink, and is quiet, as the door opens, and Frank walks inside and asks his Sister "How are you Ava?" Ava looks at her Brother, and tells him in a sad tone "Our Mama's gone Frank. What do we do?" Frank begins to break down, as he cries "I don't know." Ava looks at her Brother, as she holds her emotions in, and tells her Brother "I don't know what to tell you." Frank tries to hug his Sister, and Ava backs away, as she turns away and tells Frank "I want to be alone. I will deal with this my own way." Frank pleads with Ava "Please don't lock yourself away. You need your family." Ava looks at Frank, and tells him "You have Cale. Xavier has Leigh, and Sully. Beth has them and Tenny and Ciarra. Willie has her kids. Aunt Mary has her kids too. I don't have anybody. I am alone Big Brother." Frank tells his Sister "You are not alone and don't say that! We are the last of Mama's Children, and she wouldn't want us to break apart." Ava points to the door, and tells her Brother "Give me space." Frank walks out, with concern in his eyes for his Sister. Ava stands by the window, as she looks out, and has a thought, and walks towards her bedroom, where she opens a box.
At Jackson Inc, Bobby sits in his office, as Xavier arrives and Bobby tells Xavier in a somber tone "I'm so sorry about Ruth." Xavier hugs Bobby, as Bobby tells Xavier to sit down, and Bobby tells Xavier "We have to get the family together to discuss Ruth's last wishes. She had me draw up a new will a few weeks ago, and
she made sure that everything was taken care of." Xavier asks Bobby "Who's the executor?" Bobby tells Xavier "All of you Xavier. You, Beth, Frank, Ava, Bree, Cale, and Floyd. All of you need to pick a spot today so we can discuss the arrangements." Xavier looks at Bobby, and tells him "It's going to be hard. I talked to Aretha earlier, and she told me Ava's not doing well, and Mother's in denial. I don't think she's in the right state right now to make any decisions." At City Hospital, Beth sits in her office, as Leigh, Sully, and Jared has left, and Beth is quiet, as Terrance walks inside and tells her "It looks like a tornado came through here." Beth stares at Terrance, with a look of emptiness in her eyes, as she tells him in a defeated tone "I can't do it Terrance. I just can't." Beth begins to break down, as she punches her desk, shaking and crying uncontrollably, with anger in her tone "I am a damn failure! Screw Me! I let her down. Everyone!" Terrance walks over, and holds his boss, as Beth yells "Leave me be! I don't want anybody around me!" Tenny walks inside, with Precious as Security yells "No dogs allowed." Tenny yells "Kiss my ass!" Tenny walks inside, and looks at Terrance, and tells him "Let me have a moment with her." Terrance walks out, as Beth looks at her Mother, and runs into her arms, as she cries. Tenny holds Beth, and doesn't say a word, as tears fall from Tenny's eyes. Allan walks inside with Olivia, and Allan walks over to his Mother, and Sister, and Olivia walks outside, as she receives a message from her Father, Davis Lane. Davis tells Olivia "I'll be in Adam's Landing tonight. Give everyone my condolences." Olivia responds "I will Daddy."
At Floyd and Ciarra's home at Whispering Hills, Maria sits in the living room, with her Father, and Step Mother, and tells them "I can't believe Aunt Ruth is gone." Floyd tells his Daughter "I know." Floyd's phone rings, as it's Bobby, and Floyd tells him "I'll be there shortly." Floyd hangs up and tells Ciarra and Maria "I have to go down to Jackson Inc to discuss Ruth's will." Ciarra hugs her Husband, and Maria hugs her Father, and they both tell him "On your way out, go check on Ava." Floyd nods, as he heads out.    Meanwhile at The Sunset Club, Mary returns, as she sees Rose, Nathan, and Mandi in the lobby and Rose asks her Grandmother "How are you handling this Maw?" Mary looks at her Granddaughter, and says somberly "She's with the Lord now in heaven." Nathan tells Mary "There's no such thing. I believe in reincarnation. If there's a heaven, it's like purgatory." Rose looks at Nathan, as Mary tells Nathan "I know there's a God, and there's a Heaven. Are you an atheist?" Nathan nods, as Mary asks Nathan "What could make you turn your back on God?" Nathan responds "Living with my Step-Father and Mom. Raised in synagogues, and I hate religion." Mary shakes her head, as Rose tells Nathan "Don't get my Grandma started." Mary notices Lynn walk inside, as Clair holds his hand, and Nathan, Rose, and Mandi looks on, and Mary, Nathan, and Rose shakes their heads in disgust. Mandi quips "Looks like The Exposer really does tell the truth." Mary walks up to her Son, as Rose, Nathan, and Mandi follow, and Mary taps Lynn's shoulder, as he turns around and smiles "Mama. It's so good to see you. I'd like for you to meet.." Mary tells her Son, in a tone of anger "How could you Lynn? How could you disgrace your Father and I the way you have?" Lynn asks his Mother, in a shocked tone "Clair Feldman is joining Caney Head Chapel. We've been discussing her baptism." Rose laughs "Baptism my ass." Lynn looks at his Daughter, and snarls "Well I see you are here to take advantage of your poor frail Grandmother. Why am I not surprised?" Rose yells "Who do you think you are talking to you hypocritical bastard! You can't fool all of us! I know damn well about your history. I hope Mom finally wakes up and takes you to the bank!" Lynn snaps "Just like you to say that. And who's the boy and girl? A menage a trois? You experimenting?" Mandi yells "Shut up you piece of shit!" Mary looks at Rose and Mandi and tells them sternly "Stop it now!" Mary looks at her Son, and tells him "I am not frail and Rose sure isn't taking advantage of me! You are the one who should feel ashamed for there-self. Look at you." Mary turns to Clair, who's silent and Nathan asks his Mother "I never thought you were like this? Grandma's right." Clair snaps at Nathan "Tenny is a pothead. She has hallucinations. You can't believe a damn thing out that demented old bat's mouth!" Rose, Mandi, and Nathan all defend Tenny, as Mary looks at Clair and tells her "You are Floyd's Daughter. He's going to be so disappointed in you." Clair snaps at Mary "He can kiss my damn ass too! And so can you Nathan if you don't support what I'm doing in my new life! And I want some money! I didn't divorce Clint. Give Mom some cash!" Nathan yells "No way in hell!" Nathan storms off, as Rose looks at her Father, and slaps him forcefully, as she snaps "You disgust me." Mandi follows, as Mary looks at her Son, and Floyd's Daughter, and tells them with hurt in her voice "You disgraced everything your Father and I stand for and our name Lynn. We will be discussing this." Mary walks away, and Lynn looks at Clair, and kisses her and says "I'm not worried." Clair smiles, as she takes a drink, and seductively tells him "I've crushed for you since I was a girl."
At The Evans Home, Sayyid and Keith arrives, as Willie sits in the living room and goes through a box of photos, and Sayyid and Keith hugs her, and Willie tells her Brother and Nephew "She's free." Sayyid tells his Sister "It's hard to believe." Willie looks at her Brother and says "Clem, we have an angel now watching over Adam's Landing." Sayyid tells his Sister "I would agree." Keith checks his phone, and tells his Father "I have to go meet with Allan. He's at City Hospital and I'm finalizing the sale of my percentage, and Jermaine's of Jazz to Allan. I'm focusing on my comeback, and Jermaine is having some issues right now with Latoya." Willie and Sayyid both roll their eyes, as they hear Latoya's name, and Willie tells Keith "I hate that bitch for what she did to my Grandson and Great-Grandbaby. Her Mama isn't much better." Keith looks at his Aunt and asks "What do you mean?" Willie tells him "Sassy hooked up with Rashad, and slept with Tyrone." Keith yells "Shit! That whore! She's in L.A. now with Jermaine!" Willie and Sayyid both roll their eyes, as Willie quips "If she was smart, she'd stay her ass out in L.A. if she doesn't want her ass beaten by me. That family has dome harm to my Rashad and Little Sidney." Sayyid looks at his Sister, as he quips "Damnit Willie! You haven't shown this much fire since you were young!" Willie tells her Brother "I've made a choice, and I will do what I want now. I have nothing really to lose and my family's united. Sassy best stay away from my Grandson or else Aretha and I will be kicking that bitch's ass!"
At Hell Hill, Leigh, Jared, Sully, and Country sits inside the living room, as Sully asks Country "Since when did you become a nanny?" Country laughs, as he takes a drink from his whiskey bottle "Since Ruth got sick." Country tells them, as he gets quiet "Hell Hill won't be Hell Hill without Ms.Ruth. She was like a Grandma to me." Leigh, Sully, and Jared tells Country "I don't believe nobody in Adam's Landing would have one bad thing to say about Ruth. She was one of the nicest, sweetest people you only met once or twice in your life." Country agrees, as Leigh quips "I know a person in The Storm Shelter though that wouldn't be mourned and missed like Ruth." Sully and Jared agrees, as Country tells them "She's pissed right now. She will be out for revenge if she's released." Leigh and Sully looks at Country, and Sully turns to her Husband, as she tells Jared "Time to practice for when Ruthie comes." Leigh tells Country and Jared "Sully and I are going down to have some chitchat with Desi." Leigh and Sully walks out, as Country looks at Jared and laughs "Those two look to be ready to even the score." Leigh and Sully walks down the hill, as they walk inside The Storm Shelter and Desi yells "Who is it?" Leigh turns on the light and tells Desi "I want to discuss a proposal. If you answer correctly, you'll be free." Sully stands by her Mother, as Desi asks "What do you want?" Leigh tells Desi "Leave Adam's Landing and never come back again." Desi laughs "No way in hell. The two of you won't run me out of my home!" Leigh snaps "Ok Desi. These are your options then. Either stay here and die, or you sign a contract stating that you stay away from Class." Desi is quiet, as she frantically says, with fake tears "I'll do anything." Sully looks at Desi and laughs "Nice act. Too bad I don't buy it." Leigh tells Desi "I'm dead serious. Sign a contract, or you will be left here to die." Desi tells them "I'll sign the contract." Leigh pulls out an envelope, and pulls out the contract, and hands Desi, as she looks at the contract and reads it and  reluctantly signs it. Leigh looks at Desi, as she unlocks Desi's chains, and Desi is freed as Sully warns Desi "Come near my store again, your ass is mine. You and I aren't finished bitch." Desi laughs "That is a certainty Sully. I will have Lane's back, even if I have to tear Class to shreds. I will win!" Desi runs off, as Leigh shakes her head, and Sully asks her Mother "Why did you decide to release her?" Leigh tells her Daughter "I'm testing her." Terrance walks back inside, and Tenny looks at Terrance, and tells him "She's having a hard time with this. Watch after her." Terrance assures Tenny "I always will Ms.Sullivan. She's my best friend." Tenny tells Terrance "I'm glad Beth has you to turn to as well." Beth's phone vibrates, and it's Xavier, who texts "Come to Jackson Inc. Bobby needs to discuss some things with us." My Mom is blind when it comes to Dad, and I hope now she wakes up, but I doubt she will." Nathan looks at Rose and tells her "I can certainly feel where you are coming from. I had to deal with thinking for years Clint Feldman, the most corrupt, evil piece of shit I thought was Dad tried to run me off, and he treated my Mom like she was his punching bag. I feel so good since killing him." Rose looks at Nathan, as Mandi notices a look in Rose's eyes, and Nathan's, as there's a connection growing between them.
