It's the next morning in Adam's Landing and Xavier returns home to Hell Hill alone and notices the house is silent.He sits down in front of the TV and watches the news.The newsman reports"Racing Publicist Claudia Stone was found dead last night in a motel room in LaFayette,police reports indicate she committed suicide."Xavier has a evil smile and there's a knock at the door.Xavier gets up to find Frank at the door and Frank tells Xavier"I guess now you know who the shooter was?"Xavier nods and Frank tells him"Michael secretly called me and Ruth and I heard it all.Xavier asks his brother"How are you dealing with this?"Frank shrugs and tells him in a calm manner"She betrayed me and I lost alot because of her.But it's all in the past."Xavier tells Frank"Grandma told me you kicked your addiction.'Frank proudly tells his brother"I hurt like hell but I will make it."Xavier then tells Frank"I have something for you."Xavier walks to the library and comes out with Frank's deeds to FJR and The Farm and tells him"I took control when you were going through your ordeal."Frank is speechless and humbly says"I don't know how to thank you."Xavier tells Frank"Let's grow closer.We lost alot and that can be a way of thanking me."The two of them hug and Xavier asks Frank as he's walking out"Where's Ruth?"Frank tells Xavier"She's out visiting Willie and Sidney.Xavier's glad and Frank leaves and Xavier walks around the house and heads to the library and sits down and is silent.
At The Evans Family Home,Willie and Sidney Evans are the parents to Dr.Terrance Evans and Aretha Evans.Willie and Ruth have been friends from childhood and the Evans and the Jackson families has connections spanning back many years to when Willie was the housekeeper for Ruth and B.R.and all of them,Ruth,B.R.Willie,and Sidney maintained a close friendship over the years.Ruth knocks on the door and Willie answers telling her best friend"Finally got away for awhile?"Ruth and Willie hugs and Ruth says"Xavier's home and he needs his rest and the only reason he's home is because of your son."Willie says proudly"The lord blessed all of us Ruth.It's all because of faith."Ruth agrees and Willie invites Ruth to breakfast and she accepts and joins Willie,Sidney,and Aretha.Ruth makes a statement"It's great to see that you guys still gets together like this with everyone's hectic schedules and all."Aretha tells them"Terrance had to go into the hospital this morning for a major meeting."Aretha starts to speculate and her mother Willie scolds her telling her"I'll have no gossip in my house."Aretha quiets down and they have breakfast and Sidney suddenly gets up from the table telling Willie"Time to go to work.I got to make a run for B.R."Ruth's taken aback and Aretha grabs her father gently and reminds him"Daddy,You don't run liquor anymore."Sidney snaps out of it for a moment and Ruth looks around and Willie looks at her friend.Aretha gets up and gives Her Mom,Dad,and Ruth a hug and Ruth tells Aretha"I am glad you and Ava has re-connected.It's good that she has friends.Aretha smiles and heads to work."Sidney is silent and doesn't acknowledge Ruth and Ruth walks over and asks Sidney"What's bothering you Sidney?"Willie's silent and taps on Ruth's shoulder and motions for her to come into the living room."They head inside and Willie starts to cry.Ruth asks Willie"Does Sidney have.."Willie nods her head and cries when telling Ruth"Some days he's himself and he knows me and the children,but he's getting worse."Ruth hugs her and offers her support."Willie turns down the offer telling Ruth"You have enough going on to worry about.I got Terrance and Aretha and the lord."Ruth grabs Willie and in a loving,firm manner tells her"After everything we've been through over the years Willie,I'm here whether you like it or not."Ruth and Willie hugs and Ruth heads back to check on Xavier.Willie goes into the kitchen and says to her husband"Wasn't it nice of Ruth to drop by and visit this morning?"Sidney doesn't answer and Willie holds him in her arms as she cries telling Sidney"The one thing you will always know and remember is that I love you and I'm never leaving your side."
Desi's at home and Michael returns and Desi welcomes him with a hug and tells him"I'm proud of you Michael.You did the right thing.Michael sighs and tells his mother"I had no idea Claudia would have done that but I owed one to Frank."Desi assures her son"Frank Jackson's a man of honor and he will appreciate all you've done.He and Xavier never had a great relationship because Frank chose his career over Beth and Xavier and Claudia was always a thorn in the side.You may have just brought Frank and Xavier closer together.Michael then asks"How did things go with Rachel?"Desi looks at him in frustration and tells him"I'm not sure she and I will ever be close."Desi changes subjects and asks Michael"Have you decided what you want to do yet with Bree?"Michael tells her"I don't think she will take me back after my affair with Claudia."Desi tells her son"We have to live with our mistakes Mikey.But we can redeem ourselves."Michael gets a phone call from Frank and tells his mother"We're going to see what happens?"Desi hugs her son and tells him"Things will work out."Michael leaves and Desi gets a message from Xavier saying"I'm home.Come see me."Desi gets dressed and heads to Hell Hill.
Aretha arrives at City Hospital and meets with her brother Terrance.He notices some sadness and Terrance says to his sister trying to lighten the mood"I know how Mama is.She will be here before the end of the day and tear me up over not being at Breakfast this morning."Aretha somberly tells Terrance"Daddy's getting worse.Ruth came by and he didn't even know her.I'm worried about them."Terrance reminds his sister"You know Mama,she won't go for what you're thinking about.We got to let her realize that herself."Aretha tells her brother,holding his arm"She believes he will bounce back and we all know that won't happen."Terrance grabs her and hugs his sister and assures her"We will figure everything out Aretha."Aretha heads to her office and Terrance gets a text and calls Beth telling her"Get to the Hospital ASAP!"
Back at Hell Hill,Xavier's visiting with Bobby and has been filled in on what's been going on while he's been in the hospital.Xavier tells Bobby"If you and Country needs me today.Let me know."Ruth overhears and walks in and scolds Xavier"You will stay here and rest or else I'll pull out my Texas fly swatter!"Bobby and Xavier laughs and Bobby tells him"Ruth has spoken.I'll keep you posted."Bobby heads out and Ruth asks Xavier"What are you two plotting?"Xavier shrugs his shoulders and tells her"Nothing much,he and Country's going hunting this morning.Ruth looks at Xavier sternly and tells him"I know you too well."Ruth gives Xavier a hug and tells him"I want you to rest and not to worry about the company.Xavier nods and says sarcastically"Yes Grandma."Ruth walks out and heads upstairs and there's a knock at the door.Xavier answers it to find Desi and they embrace in a hug and Desi's on the verge of tears and Xavier laughs"You know better than to think a bullet to the chest would take me out."Desi holds on to him and tells him"I'm just glad you're alive X."

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 62. Confessions
It's later in the evening,Desi is at home and her mind's heavy with concern over her family.She calls her son Michael again but once again gets no answer.She picks up Rodney's letter and reads it again,also in the envelope is the confirmation of Rodney and Desi's divorce,which also adds suspicion to Desi's mind.She once again thinks of Michael and calls Bree to see if he's back home.Bree tells Desi"He hasn't come back here yet.It's over between me and your son."Desi offers her apologies and sympathizes with Bree,knowing what she's going through by experience with Rodney's infidelity over the course of Desi and Rodney's marriage.Desi tells Bree"I'm here for you Bree.Keep in touch."and hangs up the phone.Meanwhile,Michael's in LaFayette,in a motel room,sitting at a table with Claudia discussing their futures.Claudia looks at Michael and tells him"Michael,I have something to tell you."Michael is surprised and asks Claudia"What is it?"Claudia is silent and Michael's confused as to what Claudia is referring to.

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 61. Games Of The Mind
At Adam's Landing International,Ava turns around and sees Rodney laying on the ground,face down,with a gunshot to the head.She is furious beyond words and tells the assistant"Winston is behind this.And Northbrook will be "Northbrook Mall"when I'm done with him."The paramedics carry Rodney's body away and Ava heads to a "meeting".Meanwhile at Northbrook,Winston gets the confirmation of Rodney's death from his servant and makes a phone call,telling the paramedics"Take his body to the river."
Desi arrives in Xavier's room at the ICU at City Hospital and Xavier is awake as Desi knocks quietly,not wanting to disturb him.Xavier sees Desi and says"Are you here to kill me?"in a joking tone.Desi walks over to his beside and tells him"I'd only kill you if I didn't know who you really are."Xavier tells Desi"She reminds me of Jamie."Desi shakes her head and tells him with a tone of regret"I should have been there for her more than worrying about my name and building Lane's.I created the monster and I have to live with it."Xavier agrees and tells her"You need to keep your eyes on her.She has your drive and it's to destroy you."Desi is silent and knows that Xavier's right and Beth walks into the room and tells Desi"I thought I told you to stay the hell away from here."Desi gives Xavier a kiss and tells him"I'll talk to you soon.Get well X."and she walks out and Xavier tells his mother"You need to understand something right now.Desi and I will ALWAYS have something between us no matter what happens.You need to learn to live with that."Beth tells Xavier"You are my son and protecting their children are what mothers do.'Xavier agrees and cuts Beth some slack.Beth then gives Xavier his report from Terrance and he's ready to move to a private room shortly for a few days of observation,before being released.Xavier is glad and quips"I'm ready to go back to work again."Beth looks at him sternly and reminds him"I and my watchful eyes will be watching you son."Xavier is silent with a smile as Beth leaves Xavier to rest.
At Chantel's,Ava arrives to meet up with Country and informs him of Rodney.Country tells Ava"Your idiot brother and his minion has fallen for the bait."Ava laughs "I needed some good news today."The tone then turns serious and she confides in Country"Junior knows something about the father of my son.Jack deserves to know who is father is."Country is shocked and asks Ava"You don't remember the man who raped you all those years ago?"Ava is serious and tells Country"I blacked-out.I always thought it was Rodney Barr who was the one that raped me."Country tells Ava"Aaron Pittman was the guy that was paid to do that to you Ava.And he's in town again under an alias"Dr.Daniel Kilgore."Ava's silent and has a flashback and asks Country in a hesitant tone"Aaron Pittman?"Country nods his head and tells Ava"Brock Jr and Jamie covered their tracks well but they didn't know that I knew."Ava is angry and controls her tone and tells Country her strategy and tells him"Keep them warm tomorrow until I arrive."Country comments"You feeling ruthless aren't cha Ava?"Ava smiles at Country and tells him"I'll see to it you get a nice reward for helping me."Ava gets up to leaves and looks at Country with stars in her eyes and leaves.Country then heads out and makes a few phone calls.
Back at City Hospital,Beth's in her office and "Dr.Kilgore" comes into her office and in a cocky tone asks her"You feeling good about tomorrow's meeting?"Beth looks at him puzzled and laughs"You don't know me too well now do you?"Beth then asks Dr.Kilgore to have a seat and she moves the computer screen around and asks him"Are anyone on this board going to go along with someone's who's violating hospital protocol and stealing medicine to sell on the streets?"Dr.Kilgore responds"If there's no proof,then it's all about the reasons this meeting's being called."Beth tells him"The security cameras has all the proof I need to bust you among other things."Dr.Kilgore snarks to Beth"Why don't you check those cameras and see if you're having a memory lapse.Beth turns the screen around and notices the evidence has been erased and she stands up and lets it be known to Dr.Kilgore"I hope you know either way you go about this,you're going to lose.I always have the upper hand...Aaron."Dr.Kilgore leaves her office angry and upset and bumps into Terrance and Pedro in the hall,Terrance asks him"Did Dr.Jackson expose you?Need yourself some kleenex?"He looks at them both and rushes off and Pedro tells Terrance"He knows he's guilty,but my lady will pay for it."Terrance asks"What are you talking about Pedro?"Pedro looks down and then tells Terrance"The head of security was killed in the security room and all the proof is gone."Terrance and Pedro braces for the worst and heads to tell Beth of the developments.They walk into Beth's office and tell her and Beth tells both of them in a serious tone"This isn't about the hospital,Brock Jr's using him and they are all con-artists and Brock Jr is going to do all he can to get control of Jackson Inc.Terrance and Pedro both supports Beth and Pedro suddenly remembers something and tells Beth and Terrance to follow him to the security room.They get there and Pedro pulls up a back-up file to find the evidence remains of Tommy and Dr.Kilgore's transaction as well as Dr.Kilgore killing the Head of Security."Terrance and Beth are pleasantly surprised and shocked and Beth grabs Pedro with loving affection and remarks"How did you know how to do what you just did?"Pedro smiles and tells her"I'm quite savvy with computers and things like this."All are relieved and agree to keep this to themselves.Beth puts the thumb-drive in her pocket and Terrance returns to work and Beth and Pedro heads to check on Xavier.
Ava returns to her room at The Sunset Club and finds two of her closest friends waiting for her,Aretha Evans,and Eve Santiago.Ava is all smiles and asks Aretha"Are you going to be sure you can keep this out of your paper?"Aretha laughs at Ava and tells her"You know me Ava,I did my part.Eve asks Ava"Where is Sully?"Ava tells them"She's where she needs to be,with her father.I'm keeping her informed.She is extremely talented and Desi Lane's about to get the biggest shock of her life."All laugh and Aretha tells them"Desi's so distracted with her brat and her family drama.We got this girls."Ava pours them all a drink and tells them in a toast "To the store that will give the famous Desi Lane the wake up call she never expected...Class!"All of them raise their glasses and celebrate.

At Chantel's,Ava arrives to meet up with Country and informs him of Rodney.Country tells Ava"Your idiot brother and his minion has fallen for the bait."Ava laughs "I needed some good news today."The tone then turns serious and she confides in Country"Junior knows something about the father of my son.Jack deserves to know who is father is."Country is shocked and asks Ava"You don't remember the man who raped you all those years ago?"Ava is serious and tells Country"I blacked-out.I always thought it was Rodney Barr who was the one that raped me."Country tells Ava"Aaron Pittman was the guy that was paid to do that to you Ava.And he's in town again under an alias"Dr.Daniel Kilgore."Ava's silent and has a flashback and asks Country in a hesitant tone"Aaron Pittman?"Country nods his head and tells Ava"Brock Jr and Jamie covered their tracks well but they didn't know that I knew."Ava is angry and controls her tone and tells Country her strategy and tells him"Keep them warm tomorrow until I arrive."Country comments"You feeling ruthless aren't cha Ava?"Ava smiles at Country and tells him"I'll see to it you get a nice reward for helping me."Ava gets up to leaves and looks at Country with stars in her eyes and leaves.Country then heads out and makes a few phone calls.
Back at City Hospital,Beth's in her office and "Dr.Kilgore" comes into her office and in a cocky tone asks her"You feeling good about tomorrow's meeting?"Beth looks at him puzzled and laughs"You don't know me too well now do you?"Beth then asks Dr.Kilgore to have a seat and she moves the computer screen around and asks him"Are anyone on this board going to go along with someone's who's violating hospital protocol and stealing medicine to sell on the streets?"Dr.Kilgore responds"If there's no proof,then it's all about the reasons this meeting's being called."Beth tells him"The security cameras has all the proof I need to bust you among other things."Dr.Kilgore snarks to Beth"Why don't you check those cameras and see if you're having a memory lapse.Beth turns the screen around and notices the evidence has been erased and she stands up and lets it be known to Dr.Kilgore"I hope you know either way you go about this,you're going to lose.I always have the upper hand...Aaron."Dr.Kilgore leaves her office angry and upset and bumps into Terrance and Pedro in the hall,Terrance asks him"Did Dr.Jackson expose you?Need yourself some kleenex?"He looks at them both and rushes off and Pedro tells Terrance"He knows he's guilty,but my lady will pay for it."Terrance asks"What are you talking about Pedro?"Pedro looks down and then tells Terrance"The head of security was killed in the security room and all the proof is gone."Terrance and Pedro braces for the worst and heads to tell Beth of the developments.They walk into Beth's office and tell her and Beth tells both of them in a serious tone"This isn't about the hospital,Brock Jr's using him and they are all con-artists and Brock Jr is going to do all he can to get control of Jackson Inc.Terrance and Pedro both supports Beth and Pedro suddenly remembers something and tells Beth and Terrance to follow him to the security room.They get there and Pedro pulls up a back-up file to find the evidence remains of Tommy and Dr.Kilgore's transaction as well as Dr.Kilgore killing the Head of Security."Terrance and Beth are pleasantly surprised and shocked and Beth grabs Pedro with loving affection and remarks"How did you know how to do what you just did?"Pedro smiles and tells her"I'm quite savvy with computers and things like this."All are relieved and agree to keep this to themselves.Beth puts the thumb-drive in her pocket and Terrance returns to work and Beth and Pedro heads to check on Xavier.
Ava returns to her room at The Sunset Club and finds two of her closest friends waiting for her,Aretha Evans,and Eve Santiago.Ava is all smiles and asks Aretha"Are you going to be sure you can keep this out of your paper?"Aretha laughs at Ava and tells her"You know me Ava,I did my part.Eve asks Ava"Where is Sully?"Ava tells them"She's where she needs to be,with her father.I'm keeping her informed.She is extremely talented and Desi Lane's about to get the biggest shock of her life."All laugh and Aretha tells them"Desi's so distracted with her brat and her family drama.We got this girls."Ava pours them all a drink and tells them in a toast "To the store that will give the famous Desi Lane the wake up call she never expected...Class!"All of them raise their glasses and celebrate.
Desi arrives home and finds a letter from Rodney.She reads the letter and notices something doesn't add up.Her suspicion grows and she makes a phone call to Michael with no response.Aaron arrives at The Inn and confirms to Brock Jr and Tommy"It all worked.One down and one to go."Brock Jr has a evil smile as well as Tommy and Brock Jr tells Aaron"You will be rewarded nicely for this."Meanwhile,at Southpoint Beach,the real Dr.Danel Kilgore,is at a bank and the bank-teller tells him"I notice your accounts are empty and you've written some bad checks."Dr.Kilgore's in shock and is silent and responds"I don't have no idea what you're talking about."The police arrives and Dr.Kilgore's arrested.

Winston and Rodney are scared after after Ava's surprise and Winston suspiciously asks her"Ava you going crazy again?I think it's time you go to an asylum!"Ava answers her soon to be ex-husband question in a cold snark:"I know you bailed someone who wanted what you wanted and we both know what you want is your "Legacy".I know you old man!Winston happily replies to Ava"I was saddened to hear of his survival."Ava aims Xavier's gun at Winston and tells him in a stern whisper"I have more on the agenda than my brother.You hurt my boy Jack.And that's a no in my book."Winston tells Ava in a fearful and scared tone tells her"I wanted Xavier dead.After what he did to me."But I didn't set a bounty.And as for my son,he'll learn and maybe I'll forgive him."Winston then tells Ava"The person that likely tried to kill him is my guest Rodney."Ava's quiet and turns around and aims her gun at Rodney and gives him a smile.
In Adam's Landing at The Inn,Brock Jr and Tommy are taking some shots and Dr.Kilgore comes to join the two of them and Brock Jr yells happily"My best friend.How are things looking for ya?"Dr.Kilgore tells them"Preparing for Dr.Beth Jackson's career to be destroyed.I've got my part done.Brock Jr tells him"Finally something is going right!I'm about to make my Daddy proud."Brock Jr asks about his sister Jamie,who Dr.Kilgore treated as a patient at the Burn Center at South point Beach,Dr.Kilgore exclaims happily"She's coming around.And she supports you."Meanwhile down in Southpoint Beach,Bree walks into an apartment and sees her mother sitting in the living room.Jamie's wearing a veil to cover the scars after Ava set her cottage up in flames,entrapping Jamie and Chant but Chant being the one that made it out unscathed and away from Adam's Landing,traveling all over the world paid for by his father Winston.As For Brock Jr,Tommy,and Dr.Kilgore,unknown to them,seated by them as they all have drinks and celebrate,Country watches on,drinking a full bottle of whiskey and in silence.Dr.Kilgore leaves and after he walks out,Country follows and once outside yells"Dr.Daniel Kilgore?"Dr.Kilgore knows what Country's hinting at and laughs at him in a cocky,arrogant tone"Have to pay to get your way Hillbilly."Country plays him asking Dr.Kilgore"I know we both have one thing in common which is "Huntin"and we should go catch up."Dr.Kilgore says to Country"I know about your "hunting trips".I'll take a rain check."Country pats him on the back and tells him"I have a job that doesn't involve "sitting around taking notes for the puppet-master."Country punches him and laughs"I love my job.Yours won't last from what I hear."Dr.Kilgore runs out without saying a word and Country sits back down at his table and takes another drink and says to himself"Looks like I have a free-hunt at the Hunting Club to arrange."Country then leaves to see Bobby,who's temporarily in charge at Jackson Inc.,as Xavier's recovering,to discuss his plan.

Back at Northbrook,Winston is alone after Ava's abrupt exit to return to Adam's Landing,looking for the man who shot Xavier and Winston makes a phone call and hangs up with a look of satisfaction.Ava's on the way back to Adam's Landing and sitting on the plane next to her is Rodney and tells him"Enjoy the first class experience.It will be your last time."Rodney tells Ava"I have no idea what you're talking about because I did not shoot Xavier."Ava whispers"This one is about Jack."Rodney tells her"That's something you need to discuss with your brother."Ava is silent and says to herself"Brock Jr and Jamie.Finish line."

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 59: The Price Of Pain
It's the next day and Beth stops in Xavier's room in the ICU at City Hospital and notices he's asleep.She looks at her son silently,not wanting to wake him with tears of joy and Xavier awakens and Beth laughs"Even under sedation,you're still a light sleeper."Xavier asks"Where's my Princess?"Beth tells him"She's back home with Jared."Beth then walks over to Xavier's bedside and grabs Xavier's hand and tells her son with tears of joy"We could have lost you,but knowing my baby,I knew you'd come back to us."Xavier tells Beth in a sarcastic tone"Someone has to keep you out of trouble Mother."Beth looks up with a smile and looks at Xavier and kisses him on the top of his head and sweetly tells him"I love you son.Sully should be here later.Go back to sleep."Beth leaves and Xavier notices a picture sitting on the table next to his bed of Leigh.He looks at it with a smile and a tear and closes his eyes and goes back to sleep.
At FJR,Frank,with his mother Ruth,by his side,walks into the shop and finds Claudia there and he isn't pleased nor is Ruth."Frank coldly tells her"I'll send your belongings to you.Get the hell out of here."Ruth watches on and Claudia tells Frank"I helped you start this team Champ."Frank says to her in disgust"You lost that right the moment you slept with Michael."Ruth interferes and asks"You slept with him?"Before Claudia speaks,Ruth delivers a hard slap to Claudia and scolds her"You knew all to well what my son was going through and you had sex with a man young enough to be your son?"Claudia's silent and Frank points to the door and demands"Hand over that second set of keys you have and don't come back here again."Claudia pleads with Frank "We have something between us Frank.Let's not end like this."Ruth's eyes are red and Frank holds on to his mother and Frank tells Claudia in a somber but certain tone"You destroyed it Claudia.Goodbye."Claudia walks out the door and Frank asks his mother for a moment alone,which she allows and follows Claudia out,Frank walks around the shop and goes through the financial books and sees the shape the team is in due to his addiction and sits at his desk and makes a very hard decision.He makes a phone call to Bobby and tells him"Keep your eyes and ears open.I may be selling FJR."
Desi's at Chantel's,having her coffee before heading into Lane's, and she's reading a tabloid magazine called "The Exposer" and notices on the front cover"The daughter of Desi Lane tells all!"Desi throws the paper across the room and the waiter asks"I take it you seen it?"Desi rolls her eyes and pays the waiter and walks off.She calls Rachel but finds out she's changed her number.She then sees a text from Ruth informing her that Xavier's survived,which brings a moment of happiness to her but her mind's on Rachel and she bumps into Michael and Desi knows of what happened between Michael and Claudia after Michael told her about a few days before as well as Rachel being in town and point blank asks her son"Where's your sister?"Michael tells his mother"She's staying at The Sunset Club."Desi attempts to leave and Michael yells at his Mother"Mom!"Desi in frustration asks Michael"What is it?I need to do damage control!"Michael tells Desi"I found out who posted bail for Dad."Desi gets suspicious and asks"Who was it?"Michael tells his mother"Winston Hale."Desi is in shock and Michael has a look of guilt and Desi is speechless and walks out of Chantel's and Michael has a look of defeat.
Back at City Hospital,Beth's in her office and Terrance comes in and Beth tells him"I don't know how I'll ever thank you for saving my son."Terrance reminds Beth"It's our job Dr.Jackson."Beth compliments Terrance"I taught you well."Terrance then changes the subject and warns Beth"You need to keep your eyes open.Dr.Kilgore's gathering up support to have you ousted from being Chief of Staff."Beth is listening as Terrance explains and asks him"When is the board planning to have the meeting?"Terrance answers"Tomorrow."Beth thanks him for informing her and tells him"I'll settle this."Terrance assures her"Pedro and I's got your back."Beth thanks him and he walks out and Beth leaves her office to return to Xavier in the ICU.Pedro meets up with her on the way to ICU and Beth asks him about what Terrance has told her and Pedro assures Beth"Dr.Kilgore will back off after they find out his secret."Beth asks Pedro"What secret?"In another area of the hospital,Dr.Daniel Kilgore and Tommy are making a transaction.Dr.Kilgore's selling medicine from the hospital to Tommy for his own personal profit and hands Tommy the medicine and Tommy gives Dr.Kilgore a briefcase of cash.Also in the room is a security camera and it's recording every moment.
Frank and Ruth returns to the farm and Ruth cautions her son"Do you think you're ready?"Frank tells his mother"Someone needs to help out and protect my family and I have to save my team."Ruth asks him"Can you stay away from the pills though?It's what brought you to this point?"Frank looks by his chair and sees the bottle of Oxycontin and he and Ruth heads to the bathroom.He takes out the pills and pours them down the toilet and flushes them.Ruth cries tears of joy and gives Frank a huge hug and with pride tells him"I knew you could do it!"Frank looks at his mother and is inspired from her encouragement and tells her"I love you Mama."Ruth hugs him and tells him"I love you too son."

Desi's at Chantel's,having her coffee before heading into Lane's, and she's reading a tabloid magazine called "The Exposer" and notices on the front cover"The daughter of Desi Lane tells all!"Desi throws the paper across the room and the waiter asks"I take it you seen it?"Desi rolls her eyes and pays the waiter and walks off.She calls Rachel but finds out she's changed her number.She then sees a text from Ruth informing her that Xavier's survived,which brings a moment of happiness to her but her mind's on Rachel and she bumps into Michael and Desi knows of what happened between Michael and Claudia after Michael told her about a few days before as well as Rachel being in town and point blank asks her son"Where's your sister?"Michael tells his mother"She's staying at The Sunset Club."Desi attempts to leave and Michael yells at his Mother"Mom!"Desi in frustration asks Michael"What is it?I need to do damage control!"Michael tells Desi"I found out who posted bail for Dad."Desi gets suspicious and asks"Who was it?"Michael tells his mother"Winston Hale."Desi is in shock and Michael has a look of guilt and Desi is speechless and walks out of Chantel's and Michael has a look of defeat.
Back at City Hospital,Beth's in her office and Terrance comes in and Beth tells him"I don't know how I'll ever thank you for saving my son."Terrance reminds Beth"It's our job Dr.Jackson."Beth compliments Terrance"I taught you well."Terrance then changes the subject and warns Beth"You need to keep your eyes open.Dr.Kilgore's gathering up support to have you ousted from being Chief of Staff."Beth is listening as Terrance explains and asks him"When is the board planning to have the meeting?"Terrance answers"Tomorrow."Beth thanks him for informing her and tells him"I'll settle this."Terrance assures her"Pedro and I's got your back."Beth thanks him and he walks out and Beth leaves her office to return to Xavier in the ICU.Pedro meets up with her on the way to ICU and Beth asks him about what Terrance has told her and Pedro assures Beth"Dr.Kilgore will back off after they find out his secret."Beth asks Pedro"What secret?"In another area of the hospital,Dr.Daniel Kilgore and Tommy are making a transaction.Dr.Kilgore's selling medicine from the hospital to Tommy for his own personal profit and hands Tommy the medicine and Tommy gives Dr.Kilgore a briefcase of cash.Also in the room is a security camera and it's recording every moment.
Frank and Ruth returns to the farm and Ruth cautions her son"Do you think you're ready?"Frank tells his mother"Someone needs to help out and protect my family and I have to save my team."Ruth asks him"Can you stay away from the pills though?It's what brought you to this point?"Frank looks by his chair and sees the bottle of Oxycontin and he and Ruth heads to the bathroom.He takes out the pills and pours them down the toilet and flushes them.Ruth cries tears of joy and gives Frank a huge hug and with pride tells him"I knew you could do it!"Frank looks at his mother and is inspired from her encouragement and tells her"I love you Mama."Ruth hugs him and tells him"I love you too son."
Desi arrives at The Sunset Club and spots her daughter and Rachel in a snarky tone asks"You finally found me!I can see why you always had the hots for Xavier!"Desi looks at her daughter with anger and slaps her out of her bar stool and sneers at her"We've only begun you spoiled brat!"Desi drags Rachel out of The Sunset Club as people are looking on with shock and someone snaps a picture,unknown to Desi or Rachel.
At Northbrook,Winston's guards brings Rodney,who's in shackles and hand-cuffed to the study and Winston informs Rodney of Xavier's survival.All of a sudden Ava busts through the doors and looks at all of them holding her brother's Colt.45 and a cigarette lighter and Winston and Rodney are silent.Ava in a cold and calculated tone tells all of them"You only have 2 choices,I burn your asses on a stake,or I shoot the both of you like you shot my brother?"

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 58. Thanksgiving
It's Thanksgiving and at Hell Hill,Ruth's at the house getting ready to return to the hospital to check on Xavier.She calls the rehab to wish her son Frank,who's over-coming an addiction to the painkiller Oxycontin,due to injuries sustained awhile back in a racing accident.The nurse on the other line tells Ruth"Frank checked out of the rehab center last night."Ruth asks the nurse"What made him check out?"The nurse tells her"I'm not sure Ms.Jackson,but he left in a fury."Ruth hangs up the phone and looks up and prays"God,Please bring peace to everyone in my family.I ask you most of all to let my grandson Xavier live.Amen."
At City Hospital,Beth has stayed all night,asleep in at her desk in her office while Sully went home after reassurance from Beth it was for the best since Sully's pregnant and if anything happened Beth would immediately notify her.Sully walks into the office and asks her grandmother"How's Daddy?"Beth wakes up and tells her"Pedro hasn't gotten back to me so that's a good thing."Sully then asks"Where's Ruth?"Beth answers"I sent her back to the house to rest.She needed to get as much rest as she can."Sully agrees and they head down to the ICU to check on Xavier.

At Frank's farm,Frank returns and hears a noise in the bedroom,he walks in to find Claudia and Michael in bed,naked.He explodes on Claudia and Michael and yells"You whore!How could you do this to me?"Claudia and Michael are speechless and Frank yanks Michael out of the bed and decks him yelling"I thought of you as a son and THIS is how you re-pay me?"Michael attempts to apologize and Frank tells both of them"Get the hell out of my house and out of FJR,and stay the hell out of my life."Both plead for forgiveness but Frank takes a deep breath and calmly and sternly tells them starting with Claudia"I have heard for many years about you and Mama and everyone tried to tell me and I didn't believe them.I lost alot because of you and I'll be damned if I lose anything else because of you!."He turns to Michael and tells him"As of now,you find yourself a new ride because my family is what matters to me and what you've done has hurt my niece and you are truly your father's son."He tells them to leave immediately and they scurry around as Frank watches and they leave."Frank's hurt and betrayed and calls Ruth and is informed about Xavier.After Claudia returns her keys to FJR and the house to Frank and she and Michael leaves the house,Frank calls Ruth,and is informed of what's happened,and heads to the hospital to join the rest of the family to find out about Xavier.
For some people,Thanksgiving is a time of joy as many families gather to celebrate life,and says their blessings and takes comfort in the company of those they love.As for The Jackson family on Thanksgiving,it's been a roller-coaster of uncertainty as they've met obstacles that breaks many families apart and it's safe to say the unity's been tested with them time and time again.Beth,Sully,Ruth,Ava,Jack,and Frank are in the waiting room at the ICU,and Pedro comes out and tells all of them"I know it's against policy but all of you can go see Xavier."They walk into Xavier's room and Pedro looks on as Xavier sees his family and although he's groggy and weak and just coming to,a tear of joy comes out of his eye and he smiles and the family cries tears of joy and Ruth looks up to the sky and silently says"Thank you Lord."Xavier sees Leigh's spirit at the door,she blows him a kiss with a smile and disappears and the family gathers around Xavier,thankful for the miracle of his survival.

Daylight And Darkness: Episode 57. Hanging In The Balance
At City Hospital,in the OR,Pedro,Dr.Evans,and the staff are preparing for an extremely risky operation to remove the bullet lodged very close to Xavier's heart..Xavier's spirit sees the angel in white.His spirit sees her and Xavier asks"Leigh?"She reaches out her hand and Xavier and Leigh goes up,while Pedro,Dr.Evans,and their staff begins to operate,with full concentration and focus,realizing alot's on the line.
In the waiting room,Beth,Sully,and Ruth are sitting down,they hold vigil and they are quiet.Jared arrives and rushes to his wife's side and Sully grabs him and holds him tight and cries"He can't die.I can't lose my father."Jared does his best to assure her"Xavier Jackson has ice running through his veins Sully.He will make it.He's a fighter and he won't go without a fight."Beth and Ruth also gathers and Beth's attempting to stay strong for her grand-daughter and tells Sully"Your father has survived many things throughout his life sweetie.I have all the confidence that Pedro and Terrance(Dr.Evans) will save him."Beth begins to cry and all of them holds onto each other for comfort.
Desi meanwhile arrives in the waiting room and Sully and Beth turns around and tells Desi with their grief showing and in an unwelcome tone"You're not welcome here!"Desi tells all of them with tears in her eyes"I'm here for all of you.Xavier and I have a bond that's been tested time and time again,but he and I always return to each other."Beth angrily tells Desi"I don't give a damn about what you and my son have.He may die and it could be because of that low life you married years ago.I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't shoot him yourself after your whoring daughter seduced my son!"Desi's shocked and goes"Rachel's in town?"Sully comments in anger"You didn't know your own daughter was in town?Why don't you go be a mother to your kids and leave us the hell alone you selfish bitch!"Jared tells his wife"Sully don't do this.Remember you're pregnant."Beth tells Desi"Go try something new and take care of your family instead of yourself!"Ruth steps in and yells"STOP IT!We all have something in common,and that is that we all love Xavier.Let's drop our qualms with each other for him."Ruth takes Desi aside and calmly tells her"Go home and I'll keep you posted on Xavier."Desi gives Ruth a hug and thanks her and heads back to her home.Ruth returns to the waiting room and sternly tells everyone"Xavier's the main focus here and we need no more fighting.That's why we're here in this waiting room right now!"
Meanwhile,Xavier and Leigh arrives at the gates of heaven.Xavier looks at Leigh with tears and tells his wife"I've dreamed of the day we'd be together again.My heart died the moment Pete Myers took you from me."Leigh looks at her husband with a smile and tells him"I've been waiting for you as well My Love."Xavier's grand-father,J,D(Jim)Sullivan appears and gives his grandson a hug and tells Xavier"I'm proud of you.You've been everything I've ever imagined you to be."Xavier asks Leigh and J.D."If you are here,where's my father?"B.R. then appears and looks at Xavier and in a somber tone tells his son"You have to go back downstairs."Leigh and J.D. both nods and Xavier asks them"Why?"Leigh tells Xavier"Who's going to be there for our Princess?She needs you."B.R. adds"The family needs your leadership.If you stay,the family will fall apart.They need you more."J.D. also adds"Who's going to keep my daughter out of trouble?You are to her what Sully is to you.She can't afford to lose you."Leigh wipes away her tears and she tells Xavier"You do have a choice Xavier."B.R. agrees with Leigh and tells Xavier"Your needed more downstairs than you are here."J.D. brings over a mirror and Leigh holds Xavier's hand and B.R stands behind them as Xavier looks through the mirror to see what's going on down on earth with his family.
Back in the waiting room,Ruth,Beth,Sully,and Jared sits and shares their memories of Xavier.They comfort each other and they know that although there's a chance Xavier could die,their faith and unity pulls them through and they wait for Pedro to come out of the OR with hopefully,good news."Ava returns after visiting with Jack and tells Beth,Sully,and Ruth"I can't promise much but I can promise whoever did this will pay.I'll see to it."Desi's returned to her home and sits in her chair and cries,with her mind and heart heavy and not sure what to do as her family's breaking apart.Michael comes in and has a look of guilt and Desi turns around in a look of shock and is silent.Xavier looks at the gates of heaven,of which if he enters,he'll be with Leigh,J.D.and B.R.Leigh gives Xavier a hug and Xavier cries telling her"I don't want to go.I don't want to leave you.""J.D. and B.R. looks on,and Xavier looks at them in tears,he looks at the clouds,which if he enters,he'll return to earth,to Sully,Beth,and his family.Leigh tells Xavier"I'm always with you,and I'll always be with you no matter what happens."Leigh,B.R.and J.D.looks on in silence as Xavier looks at the gates of heaven and the clouds,and he makes his decision.
